Wow! They were slammed today. I waited 6 hours. And I'm not mad at it. I got there first thing in the morning. And I saw a parking lot packed. I knew it was going to be a long day. But with my work schedule, this was the only day I had available. Anyway. 6 hours and a few hundred dollars later. Yikes. I got my car back. And I have new spark plugs. And my tires are rotated, and oil change and all the things. Can't put a price on a healthy car and safety. The next day I was hearing a hissing sound. So coming back home from work I stopped in and told them. One of the guys drove around the parking lot with me so he could hear it too. Since they were still slammed for the next couple of days, they asked if I could come back on another day. Which of course I said yes to. I've always had great service with Firestone. They've always taken good care of my car. I trust them completely. I've been coming here probably for 4/5 years now. read more

Old school integrity. Just got a "new to me" sequoia and they went through it from 8am to 10:30am going over every system and fluid. They recommended a tire rotation and oil change to create a starting point and we changed the cabin air filter as well. They showed me what my brakes were reading as well as my tread and explained what was next as we plan for future maintenance. It's nice to find a place that makes a plan for service instead of one that is just looking to push unnecessary service on you. Highly recommend! read more

I was driving my three grandkids when Overheating engine light came on. I pulled into nearest business complex called a family member who told me there was a firestone in that complex. I drove over at 5 PM stressed and with my three young grandkids. The front desk guy super nice don't remember his name, but they were able to get my car back to check it out. My car had a pin hole in my coolant line. Weren't able to get a new line until next day but told me working on a short-term solution. The technician Matthew pulled my car up showed me the hose, explain he put on a patch. He also showed me the transmission was missing its cap/ plug. I was able to drive that night with the patch and brought car back next day and left it for repair plus a needed oil change. They got line fixed and oil change unable to get transmission plug till the next day but put a temporary one in. The following day I drove in and they placed the new plug in with a wait of less than five minutes. I was so stressed there with three young grandkids and worried about transportation everyone so nice and helpful I wish I got all their names but did get Matthew's name he explained things and showed me where problem was. The attitudes were so kind and helpful something I rarely experience in dealing with auto repair. read more

Kaleb, Ed, and Joe were very helpful in a time of need having something weird going on with my car. Austin's Automotive sent me over to cover my alignment and make sure their machine was correct and they didn't even charge Austin's Automotive and spent all day test driving with me etc. to make sure they understood the issue having to go in 15 plus times. I would rather they be honest and send me to the dealership then keep throwing money at it to fix the solution. As a women this a sigh of relief and very helpful to know their mechanics out there like this that are there to help make light of a stressful situation and we're very kind. read more

After jeep stopped servicing jeeps older than 2015 (cause somehow that makes sense) I've been bringing my jeep here and no matter the mystery they always figure it out at a great price. Today I had an appt for maintenance on the same vehicle (07 Toyota FJ 4x4); set with Wade West again), and I received great service! I was given honest feedback on 'must do's' versus, 'this can wait', every discount possible, and excellent follow through on promises made. By far the worst customer service we have had since moving to the area! They said that one of my tires couldn't be repaired, left my car with a flat tire sitting in the parking lot, with greasy fingerprints all over the driver's side interior. Not to mention scratches on the rim of my Mercedes. This was after waiting over 3.5 hrs.! Go to Don Rucker near Hudson Bend! Not only were they able to repair my tire, but put a brand new one on in less than an hour and a half. Don't waste your time and money on this business! read more

I dropped my vehicle off at 2pm (early for my 3pm appointment I had previously made) to get an oil change and breaks checked for a trip I was leaving for the next morning. After not hearing anything from Firestone for several hours, I called to check in ensuring my car would be finished before closing. I was specifically and explicitly told my car would be ready by closing time (5 hours later) but if it couldn't be finished I would be notified. After driving by Firestone around 7:00pm (closing time) my car was still being worked on inside the bay. I came back again around 7:30pm and Firestone was completely closed down with my car LOCKED INSIDE without notice. I now have to postpone my trip because of an OVER-PROMISE. Will not be using their services again. read more

This place is all about scamming for money. My 17 year old was taken full advantage of by this place and they took his car for 2 days for a standard scheduled oil change. They should be ashamed of how they treat people that are not Big Money for them. Than when we took the car elsewhere for an inspection they showed the basic oil change wasn't even completed. We've come to this garage twice - and both times the quality of customer service has been outstanding. Wade really goes above and beyond to help each customer out -- and on both occasions the repairs were completed much faster than quoted, the price was reasonable and attention to detail was superb. Even though we were just replacing a headlight; they even noticed the tires were a little low on pressure (I knew this and had been meaning to inflate them) and pumped them up without asking, and without even mentioning that they'd done it. Went to this Firestone last year for a walk in state inspection and had really good service, so decided to go back for a tire rotation and to get a headlight bulb replaced. I made an appointment a day prior to get both done. I was waiting for two hours before the guy told me that they were having the bulb delivered, it was on the way because they did not have anymore in inventory. They also said then that they could not do a rotation because my tires were too worn. I waited another hour and a half before walking out because the bulb still had not been delivered to the store. The store was closing early for a meeting in 30 minutes so it was obvious it wasn't going to get done. The guy at the front apologized and said that they don't control when stuff gets delivered. Y'all need to keep better inventory or not accept appointments if you can't do the job. CUSTOMERS If you come here for bulb replacement just bring your own and have them charge you $80 in labor or learn to do it yourself like i'm about to do! but thank you firestone for letting me know that i need new tires. UPDATE.. went to Discount Tire today and asked them if they could see if my tires were really so bad that a rotation wasn't possible like i was told at Firestone. Even told them that if they were bad, I would get tires from the store that day. They took a look and said my tires still have some use left in them. For those wondering, Firestone said they were at 2/32, unable to pass inspection, when Discount Tire measured 4-5/32. I pretty much told Discount Tire to take my money and they told me it wasn't necessary right now. Not sure if Firestone thought I was naive considering i'm a young woman asking for a bulb replacement or if the machine they use to measure tire tread was messed up or what. And for the new bulb, I youtubed it and literally took 5 minutes changing it out myself. So glad I got my keys and walked out. read more

Went in for a state inspection, left the car with them at the shop for a couple of hours, since there was a line of cars in front of me. The inspection went well but there's noticiable damages inside the car. The main one being the sun visor (drivers side) being broken. They did not mention it when I picked up the car. I've been to this Firestone twice now, and I'm pretty impressed. Both times, the estimates quoted to me were accurate and clearly explained. Customer service is friendly if a bit slow at times. (I don't blame the folks that man the registers, it's just that people seem to take a loooong time to explain that their minivan has 'a funny little knock'.) My car has been in for an oil change, a cooling system flush, and some minor repairs. The repair in question was ineffective; my car's low-pressure tire warning is always on, and they diagnosed the problem as a bum sensor in the tire well. I had this sensor replaced, and it didn't do a thing for the problem. However, I do appreciate the work done by the mechanics here, despite the attempts at an upsell. I can understand this as it helps the bottom line, but the last time did make me laugh. I was warned that my car battery's performance had degraded to the point that it might not start the car when the temperature fell below 34 degrees Fahrenheit, and that I should get it replaced ASAP! Since it was springtime and moving into summer, I had to ask when in the next 7-8 months it was going to be below 34 degrees in Austin, Texas. I got a 'you have a good point' kind of reply, so I put the battery on the 'eventually to do' list. That said I can highly recommend you bring your car here, they perform most maintenance work and do it well. read more

Awful customer service. I made a reservation online to bring the car for a flat tire check up. At arrival I was told by the technician that their system is not connected to Firestone's main portal so they don't have any information about online appointments. The option they gave me was to leave the car for 2 days hopping they have time to see it. I drove 40 mins to get here and I needed my car, so that obviously wasn't an option for me, yet they didn't care a bit. "Got too much work, I can't do anything for you," that's what the technician said... well, I'm taking my business somewhere else, these people don't know how to treat customers. read more

Horrible! Waited for a 1.5hrs for them to tell me they ordered the wrong tires!! When that would have been the time of completion. Not once did they call me to give me an update. I would have stayed at firestone while waiting, but their waiting room is small, with shitty coffee. No thanks Jeff. Then Alex has the audacity to call me back later telling me I now have to pay an additional 300$ to get tires from them. I initially got my quote from James and I spoke with him several times and not once did he indicate I needed to come in for a valid quote. Been going here since they opened because of the location and while they've always been slow, the service level has finally bottomed out. The previous trip was for rear shocks. It required removing 4 bolts total. Took about 5 hours in total. Mechanic had virtually no idea what he was doing. He was looking inside the car for the top bolt on the shock. I got a ride to pick it up at the time they told me it would be ready when I called and it ended up taking another 2 hours. Latest waste of time was for an attempt to get a brake job. Made an appointment and dropped it off at 7:50am. They said they'd get to it in an hour and call me with what it needed. At 11:00am I checked in and was told, "it's the very next one up." At 3:30pm I was heading home and noticed it was still sitting in the same spot. So, I called and was told, "it's still in the queue, but it's the next one up and we WILL ABSOLUTELY get it done today." At 6:30pm, nearly 11 hours after it was dropped off, I was told yes it did need rear brakes, but they "couldn't get the parts today." Would need to do it the next day. Give me a break. The only thing they are ABSOLUTELY done with is getting anymore of my business. If you value your time in the slightest, avoid this place. read more

I've made a career in customer support/service and as a mentor / trainer and extremely happy to say how extremely impressed I am with this shop. Ed is pronominal and fosters a great work environment for his employees. Over the past few years I've taken all my vehicles to Ed's shop. When leave i'm confident that the work was done correctly and was charged a fair rate - That is a huge comfort "every single time" that I need to take in my vehicles. It breaks my heart to give a Firestone location a 1 star review- I wish there was a little crook symbol instead of a star. I have lived in many different cities and always relied on them to be honest and courteous. Hopefully other Firestones in town are not like this one. I have given this location two chances. The first problem I had was the overselling and condescending "little lady" attitude I received. Really? It's 2014? Is this a Texas thing? My first encounter was an oil change. Nothing out of the ordinary, just kind of rude. BUT, the biggest problem was I took it in a few months later for my state inspection- my regular mechanic is only open M-F and this was a Saturday. In their system they had me still as CA, even though I have TX plates and had gone there before. I could tell they immediately thought this was first state inspection. So, they took this opportunity to try and pull the wool over my eyes. They told me I needed $1000 in repairs to pass the inspection. I inquired why. They sold me BS. I informed them that the reason they were not passing me was not on the list of criteria for a car to pass. It is not. I did my homework. They just stared at me and told me they could give me a credit card to help pay for it but they would not pass it. I left and went to my regular mechanic that Monday morning and guess what?! Yep, it passed. I also asked my mechanic if what Firestone said needed to be fixed actually needed to be fixed. Nope. SHAME ON YOU FIRESTONE. read more

I bought tires online and took them to Firestone to have them mounted on my existing wheels. I informed the guys that the rear left tire pressure sensor wasn't working and requested a new one with the removal and install of my new tires. Everything seemed okay, as the sensor I told them about was indeed not working, until I received a call explaining that the new tire pressure sensor had been installed but now the rear right sensor wasn't working! I was told there would be another fee of $135 for another new sensor. Not happy, nor did I have time to leave my truck there another hour and a half, I told them not to install the additional sensor. When I went to pick up the truck I asked them if the other 3 sensors were working and they told me when one is not working, the others cannot be reset for the location they are in (if they weren't installed in the same location as before). Upset, I left and proceeded to call and stop by the store all of the next week, still without any resolve. they still couldn't fix the reading on my dashboard. Then I was offered a new sensor at 50% discount. At least it's something, right? Since I needed 1 new windshield wiper, I asked them to throw the wiper into the deal and we're on! --- Nope" I was told. We're already taking a 50% hit", they said! "I'm taking a 50% hit!", I said. Still, no deal! No way! they broke it, they need to fix it! So I left. Got on the internet and found out a way to reset the sensors myself. Also found out that the technician had filled the tires to 80lbs. in the rear and 60lbs in the front which is too high and may have affected the sensors in the first place. Long story longer, I feel I was either being scammed for more money. Or they are not very knowledgeable at their work. I'll think twice about going there again. read more

Boo: Estimated time 45minutes to an hr (this is common) Boo: No Wifi in the waiting area and the tease of DirectTv with zero fun channels to watch. Yay: Put me in the market for new tires. Yay: Ordered them from TireRack.com at a great price and had them shipped to FireStone super fast delivery. Yay: Less than $50 to get them mounted and balanced. Yay: Friendly staff Yay: Guy got the job done in 40m and I was happily on my way. Yay: Clean waiting area with complimentary water, soda, & gatorade. Yay: Since there is no wifi you can easily walk up to CoffeeBean or grab some froyo close by while you wait. read more

Check your wiper blades good before taking your car in for inspection. My wife took her 2 year old car in for an inspection and was shown wiper blades that would not have operated at all. She had no issues with them the day before and was told the vehicle would fail inspection without new $50 wipers. This wasn't a luxury vehicle! Beware, they will try to up charge you! read more
