She was initially very direct and offputting but after a conversation she warmed up and was very kind. I ordered a few combination banh mi sandwiches and Vietnamese iced coffees for my family. Unfortunately since she was the only one working it took a while to get our food and drinks but she apologized for the long wait and explained to me that she is actually the owner of the shop! She runs the place with her husband and let me know that she once had staff but they caused trouble for her business so she had to let them go and preferred to do the work herself. The coffee was very good and to our surprise despite the negative reviews, the combination banh min sandwiches were good! If I lived in Texas I would try to stop by more frequently just to grab a drink and have a conversation with the owner. Please don't be discouraged to come by and support their business. Just in today's orders the broccoli and cheese soup was noticeably a lot more watery. I was given soggy, stale crackers - literally no crunch, just mush. And my brownie had a some strands of hair in it, so we're obviously not wearing hair nets (probably gloves either). And for the record that's not my hair type, color or length. The one positive was that the order was ready by the committed time so I can give a star for that but the totality of everything else is the reason I won't be returning.
