My son chose to have his birthday dinner here. My first time, the rest of my family's second time. We were greeted upon entry. Order taken quickly and food came out fresh. I ordered the medium sliders with fries. The chicken is so crunchy and flavorful. I'm not big on spicy but the medium paired with the bun it comes in and the Dave's sauce were the perfect trio. The restaurant was freezing when we first got there and then they turned the air up a little and it was comfortable. I'd recommend anyone looking for a great chicken sandwich to come here. read more

They are doing well getting the kinks out for a newly opened location! We just went there for lunch and received our food hot and fresh and in a timely manner. The employees were kind and helpful and the restaurant was clean. We got there right before the rush, so I'm sure the wait is a little longer when one comes during a peak time, but we only waited about 10 minutes for our 2 meals. We each got the "bites" (chicken nuggets) with mine being the "hot" level and my friend's being the "mild spice" level. Have been waiting impatiently for this location to open up, so happy we had to go for the grand opening! I have to say they handled the crowd so well such a good flow with amazing customer service. I know once we got in and ordered food it came along quickly. My slider was perfect with the fries, very tasty with a good size of chicken. A different twist with the kale slaw as well. Now my fruity pebbles milk shake wasn't worth it to me, it was a mid vanilla with a chunk of fruity pebbles on top, so I don't recommend that. They don't have the app or kiosks up and running yet, but as a customer, it really helps to know what you want before getting to the register to keep things moving smoothly. The chicken was extremely crunchy and juicy. I ordered the tender and slider meal with no heat, and my husband ordered the two-tender meal with medium heat. Y'all... these tenders are HUGE. The meals were very filling--we couldn't even finish the fries (and honestly, you don't even need them). Now that I know better, I'll definitely ask for an extra cup of Dave's sauce next time because it was delicious for dipping. My husband said he'd go up one heat level and also add extra sauce. Definitely a win. This was our first time at Dave's Hot Chicken and we weren't disappointed at all. We both ordered the chicken sliders, my husband got his hot while I kept mine plain. The chicken was incredibly juicy and flavorful, and the kale slaw added a nice crunch. These were definitely not your average sliders. They also came with crinkle cut fries, which were a great bonus. Good stuff! Came in one night to try the mozzarella sticks I heard about. It was my first time here so I got a plate too. The food was good. Served fresf, took about 6 mins for them prepare the order. Great service inside. Plenty of friendly employees moving around and staying busy and being helpful. They were out of the mozzarella sticks which was the reason I came. But I still had a great experience for my first time. The restaurant was clean and spacious. The mac & cheese was a solid side, while the kale slaw had a nice crunch but felt a little bland and could have used a bit more dressing or seasoning to make it stand out. My meal came to about $24 for two tenders, two sides, and a drink, which felt a little expensive considering the portion size and the many great hot chicken options around town. The food was good, but not memorable enough for the price. We had it on the south side, was pretty good. Then they made this one, we were so excited, then VERY quickly disappointed. To-Go bag was dripping with sauce, they packed it to where all the containers where lopsided, leaking into each other and into the bag. I couldn't even get mad, because it was that ridonkulous. So of course, I had to make the trip back INSIDE (terrible customer service, as they have the youngest local high school children managing the place), they addressed it - then got home, all the boxes were nasty and sticky on the outside. And to be very honest - the chicken was over-slathered, wet and cold, BBQ smoke favor made all 5 people at my table gag - literally, it was so gross. Try the BBQ - it WILL make you gag. (we are in the process of making a TikTok video of it - "try not to gag on Dave Hot Chicken BBQ sauce". Just went here for dinner on a Sunday evening and the place was packed so I figured there would be a long wait. Nope, got my food in about five minutes. Got the #3 combo of a slider, a tender, and fries extra hot and gotta say they completely nailed everything. I love heat but have no desire for something stupidly hot I have to sign a waiver for, so forget reaper level spice, but the extra hot was just what I was looking for. Pretty decent heat that made me sweat a little but not something that's going to make you cough or anything. Chicken was cooked perfectly too, very juicy inside, nice and crispy and covered in hot sauce outside. It's pretty pricy but the tenders are huge and enjoyed the slaw on the slider too. I like that they serve real honey with your meal also. Staff was friendly. Overall have nothing but great things to say about the place and will definitely be back when I'm in the mood for some more heat. read more
