My son absolutely loved his burger. Good size, meet was just right. Shawarma was different from what I know shawarmas to be :) This was a texas version, wrapped in a tortilla wrap, not in pita. Nevertheless, it was tasty. As a side, we asked for the sweet potato fries, it was also very good. When leaving, I casually mentioned that I am yet to find a good falafel in Austin (after living in NYC and in Israel, I have high expectations). The owner asked me to wait few minutes, prepared fresh falafel for me and my son to try. It was very good. (He refused to take money for it). I came back because I appreciated having a sample today reflected the main dishes of a Jerusalem street food truck. I order using the he link to their toast. They were on a break, so I had to wait a little longer. The link to order came in handy vs me waiting to put an order in until someone arrived. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and a side of falafels. My falafels were crispy and flavorful. The chicken shawarma wrap was the perfect size. The amount of meat on the wrap was really good, all of the ingredients were balanced well. The chicken was flavorful as well. I wanted to order fries, but they were sold out. There is plenty of seating available throughout St. Elmo. You can sit outside, listen to music, and grab a drimk from other businesses. I will definitely go again!

Then someone else came as the waitress and she was preoccupied with other tables and barely checked on us. A regular lunch which would've been one hour became almost two because of the lack of service. My friend had to stand and look for someone to give us a box to take out the good we couldn't eat because it was getting late and also to get the check because No one came in to check on us at all. If I am making anything that requires pita, I ask for a package from the baskets behind the counter. So good! I love this place. The staff have been there forever and are very accommodating to requests. Their grilled olives are so addictive! My favorite is their falafel wrap made exactly as they serve it. Keep the pickled turnips. They are delicious. I appreciate that they give their staff Sundays off - everyone deserves a weekend.
