Then she proceeded to tell me they didn't have anything for me as she reviewed my receipt and confirmed location. Didn't offer to any assistance but to place a separate additional order which wouldn't have what I had ordered as they ran out. I calmly told her no thank you as she was oddly heated and left and the other employees apologized but not once did the manager apologize or offer assistance. The store is clean and it wasn't busy at all that day (a Friday afternoon). The person who took my order was polite and professional. This is my third visit to this location, and the experience never disappoints. On this particular visit, Cat, Pam and Greg were left to man the ship alone. They acquitted themselves admirably, handling the complications of being left alone and none of them a manager or shift lead. Unfortunately, because they were the only three there, the wait was 25 to 30 minutes long to get a sub...and the line was several people long. They were handling the stress of running the shop completely on their own while dealing with angry customers due to the line (and waiting in the shop for 30 minutes, plus eating time, we saw several angry ones come and go). Have been coming to this Firehouse Subs location for a while now and it never disappoints. It's never too busy so the food gets done quite fast. The last couple of times I have ordered online, and the food is always on time or maybe 1-2 minutes after the expected time. Their variety of hot sauce is ever changing. However, I usually see about half of the same hot sauces there all the time. So of them stay the same in case I want the the same sauce I've had before, and half of them are different in case I want to try something new. Can't go wrong with that! One thing I do wish is that they provide a few more hot sauces that are rated 9-10. Too many of them are rated between 3-7 in spiciness and it's just not that hot for this guy! Oh, one thing I forgot to mention is that they're open until 10:00pm!!!! Sometimes my wife and I crave a firehouse sub pretty late and most of them close at 9:00pm, but this location (and I think 2-3 more in San Antonio) are open an extra hour which is awesome for those sort of late night cravings! read more

We have been to this firehouse location twice in the last 2 weeks and have a great experience each time. When my husband and I went there for a hot lunch date during the week we had a great time. We got our food to go, and the staff was super nice and prompt, our food came out quickly and tasted delicious. Our second visit was with the kids, again hangry toddler in the car.
