Had a bowl from this subway five days ago and it was SO GOOD that I kept thinking of it. Everything on the online order back then was perfect, didn't get my extra pickles though but I was so satisfied that everything else was perfect that I let it slide. I ordered another one tonight since I wanted a fast dinner for me, my partner, and my younger cousin who is visiting. My partner went to take all our things out and immediately noticed the look on his face. The bowls looked unpleasant but we could sorta make out whose was whose from the cheese. Both me and my cousin had bowls and we were both missing toppings we chose, and my partner pointed out that he ordered extra protein on my bowl and it looked like they had only put one scoop in there. My partner had a whole footlong and he said they didn't even toast it. My bowl had a few bits of chopped tomato and pickle and literally like one cucumber slice chopped while my cousin's had whole toppings, but he was still missing purple onion. This is the best Subway I've been to in San Antonio. The bread is always fresh, the counters clean, the crew listens. They make your sandwich with care instead of throwing ingredients onto stiff bread. It's an attitude they have that makes the difference. Had a coupon for a buy a foot long get one free, so I visited this Subway off Austin Highway near my home. I arrived around 12:40pm and there was a pretty long line (understandable). What was less understandable was the big guy making the sandwiches seemed to be in a pretty bad mood and he wasn't trying to hide it. When I order, I say please and thank you out of respect. I was friendly as I ordered, but he was tossing utensils around and mangled the bread on both of my sandwiches. Luckily, I ate them at home where I could take my time as the bread kept breaking apart as I ate. The other issue I had was that the spinach and bell pepper was NOT fresh at all. It took me around 25 minutes to get in and out and in that time I observed 2/3 staff being careless with cleanliness. I wouldn't recommend this Subway to anyone. read more

I placed an order for six sandwiches and received a confirmation number and also saw that it had been taken out of my checking account via PayPal. When I got to my local subway on Austin Highway, I was told that they had not received an order for those sandwiches, and that they could not make the sandwiches based on the order I placed because on their end it looked like the payment was pending. They wanted me to place a new order and pay for it again. It didn't make any sense to me. I asked them to just go ahead and cancel the order, well they couldn't do that by that time they had called the manager, and I was talking to her through the clerk. I asked why did they have it set up that way on their website if I wasn't really able to order and pay for it through PayPal. She said that was just their policy and that if I wanted to place another order for six more sandwiches and pay for a second time in their store that I could get them at that point, I told them I wasn't going to get any more sandwiches at Subway and, I would take it up with my bank. I'm ready to give A+ rating to this place. First let me start with the girl who made my sandwich. I asked for a veggie delite with garlic butter on it. She nicely applied butter to the sandwich in both sides. And then to my request she added veggies I wanted and these nice spread of cheese in veggies and toasted. I should have taken a picture if my ready sandwich. It looked like expert made. It looked exactly like the ones in subway commercials. I won't be surprised if she was one who made sandwich for commercial. We'll decorated with greens and dressings of my choice. It was a treat to belly and and and eyes too. I wanted to write this review to describe how ridiculous it is that the employees working made my wife buy an item in order to use the restroom. We were Halloween clothes shopping next door and my young daughter had an emergency moment, unfortunately the Halloween store didn't have a restroom so we rushed to the next closest thing, Subway. At the end of the day a $2 sandwich isn't the end of the world, but common man what is this world coming to when a kid has to pay to use a bathroom. I guess we can all thank Starbucks for starting all of this drama. read more

If I could review every subway with a zero star. I would. Subway is the downfall of all deli sandwich shops. The bread is full of crap and nonsense. The meats are prepackaged, lowest grade deli meat along with the cheese as well. Toppings are always wilted and nasty. I used to know delivery drivers, along with being one and have seen where they make, package and ship all subway items. It's nasty. Steer clear of all subways. You can get a much better sandwich elsewhere ! read more

If I could give zero out of five stars and people could still read this review, I would... Today was my first and last time ever going to this Subway ever again. Let me provide some context. After a long, hard day of work and then trying to get my nails done, only to spend an hour and a half more than anticipated in the salon due to a number of factors, I was starving and in dire need of a sandwich. Subway, my favorite sandwich chain, has been and always will be my favorite sandwich shop, and the closest one was this one. I rushed over as fast as anyone can while abiding by traffic laws legally and arrived right before closing time, around 7: 57. Online, it says the shop closes as 8, and a sign in front of the store said it closed\s at 8, so one would assume the shop \ closes at 8. But, as my hungry self attempted to open the store door, I found it to be locked. I looked inside desperately, as I see teenage workers inside, and none of them allow me to enter to pay for their services and a sandwich. A girl with reddish hair even goes as far as signalling me rudely that the store was closed and to leave. Heartbroken, I leave the store empty-handed. If a shop claims it is open at 8, it must stay open until 8. No excuses. 0/10 for customer service I will never come to this specific Subway establishment again, as it is a mockery of the incredible chain of Subway. let me begin, I have not had much good out of this place. personally for me I am not a subway fan but will eat it, my wife loves subway. my wife has a tomato allergy. I notice no one really trains there staff on food allergies. they make a joke when I told them they could kill my wife they laughed. I am retired Army this did not sit well with me. Love the new location in the new shopping center! Its very big and clean. The staff they have now are very helpful and friendly. At this location, they'll ask you if its for there or to go. If you eat there they wont wrap your sandwich like usual. They'll put it in a basket to enjoy there. Parking is usually fine also. read more

Subway is easily one of my favorite places to eat. My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a nice wrap after working all day. We were extremely disappointed upon arrival due to the poor attitude of the workers here. There's was one male and one disgruntled looking teenage girl. Extremely unprofessional. She wouldn't speak up when asking what I wanted on my sandwich to the point where about 5-6 times I had to stand on my tip toes to see her and ask her "what?" with no change to her volume, no eye contact, and absolutely no effort to provide even the smallest amount of customer service.
