This place reminds me of the old lady on the Arby's commercial asking "Where's the Beef". That's how I feel about this steak and cheese sub. Absolutely the worst I've had here (and I've been here before) so you get a fork full of meat and bread slopped with sauce along with peppers and onions. Definitely been shortcut on the protein and this is not the first time here this has occurred but for sure the worst. I'm a Jersey mikes girl, I've been loyal to them for years but my husband finally convinced me to try firehouse and I'm so glad he did. All of our sandwiches were hot, soft bread, gooey cheese. The meats were definitely at a higher quality than what you would get cheap at the grocery store. Only complaint: I do not like their roast beef, especially compared to Jersey mikes, but that doesn't even really matter because everything else was delicious. That honey ham on the hero... bless. I love Firehouse Subs. However, I had a very unpleasant experience at this location. I went in to redeem my birthday sub and the supposed GM, Gabriel asked me for my ID to see my birthday as he said my phone number wasn't working to look up my rewards. Even though I had the email. I explained to him that I didn't have my ID as it was in my car but I had a photo of it on my phone . He then stated that he needs the physical ID. Who lies about a birthday sub? Very embarrassing in front of the other customers. Then he asked me to get off the counter. Rude! Then when he was done making my sandwich he tossed it on the counter. Extremely unprofessional. The employees were helpful, and seemed happy to work with each other. One gave me with a menu. Another wrapped my sandwich when my taxi driver called to say he was nearby. The third helped me out to the car with my food since I had a cane in one hand, and a leash in the other. The place looked clean, but doggy found any nearby, tiny crumbs as I got situated. Dogs are good for that, though. Napkin dispensers at the tables needed refilling. It smelled lovely in there, like baking bread. ESPN was on the tv. A child in a firemans hat always adds to the ambience. The engineer sandwich comes with Swiss cheese, turkey, mushrooms, tomato, white onion, and lettuce. I ordered it on wheat bread, which was decent enough. It's dressed with mayonnaise, and mustard. There was far too much of the former, and I only tasted the latter on the very end of one side of the grinder. The turkey was quite delicious. The veggies were very fresh. I just think mayo should be a layer of condiment glue that holds a sandwich together, if used at all, not a featured member of the handheld meal. I tasted more mayo than Swiss. I love firehouse subs,I went to this location today.At the counter I asked to redeem a free large sandwich with my points, none of the workers knew what i was talking about, almost like it was their first day on the job.I gave them time and all the did was mess up the order even more, they tried to help but it didn't work my meal was more expensive then if I ordered online. This location also did not speak fluent English and it was hard to understand because they didn't speak it. If it was seen and still packed then that's absolutely disgusting, I'm not even sure how this place has a 100 from their health inspection if this is how food is being prepared and sent out. Many times I go to other locations I'm disappointed by things not being clean or the sauces filled. You can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches. Great attend able service. The sub was pretty great too. I tried the meatball subs although the bread was lacking flavor the meatballs tasted better than what subway offers. They usually have promotions at the front door as well like free gym memberships at la fitness for 15 days or other promotions. Also a bunch of sauces to try at the salsa bar. My boyfriend liked the variety of hot sauce offerings in particular. The staff were very helpful and our food was prepared quickly. I ordered the 8 inch Italian sub and my boyfriend ordered the 12 inch steak and cheese sub. We both enjoyed our food! My sandwich had a lot of flavor and I definitely like it more than Jimmy Johns and Subway. The portion size was very generous! I could only eat half my sandwich and had to take the rest to-go. I remember trying these subs for the first time and being blown away. I stopped by recently to grab a sandwich for dinner and it wasn't the greatest. I asked for no mustard and they still put mustard. My sandwich tasted like something was off....I've gotten the same sandwich before and it had tasted amazing. Tried Firehouse Subs for the first time and I was really impressed! Clean, nicely decorated dining room and service line with the firehouse feel complete with Dalmatian spotted table tops. I ordered the Hero (basically a club) - the meats were delicious and the sandwich was served warm and not pressed. I think what really stuck out was the deli mustard and mayo, while the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and crisp. The 8" combo was just under $10 and the drink cup was just as big as Whataburger's. The staff was very friendly, and even though they messed up my order the first time, they brought a brand new sub within minutes. The Apple Pay option gets them a lot of points too. Got the meatball sub it was very good. Service quick the place was clean. The first time I came I got the large tea but the cup doesn't fit under the tea carafes so it is hard to fill up the cup.
