I'm not much of a sandwich guy, I was actually looking to get some tacos from the place next door but they were closed. I stepped into the fire house and it was really clean, they had the sports channel going+++, and the employees were friendly. So far so good, cleanliness, entertained, and enjoying the decor. I ordered two subs club, and hook and ladder. They took a bit to longer than I expected to get my order but I was well entertained and didn't mind much. When I got my order I was caught off guard, the sandwich was huge it hung off both ends of the tray! They looked just as good as in the picture which is rear cause usually you go to subway and the picture doesn't match what you get. Not here everything was going fine so my buddy and I dig in and dadadamn these are some good sandwiches! I can't believe I've been chowing down on damn subway when these sandwiches are freaking good. Took 20 min to get a ham and turkey sandwich. There were only 4 people in the place which had 3 people working. One lady waiting longer than me had to get her sandwich to go since her lunch break was only 45 min long. When I asked why the wait was so long for a sandwich they said a larger catering order came in while I was there and it was more important than. This is the first time I've ever seen place ignore the people inside and divert all employees to a single order. I hope it was for the president or at least the mayor. read more

Let's me start by saying nice people and clean restaurant. The reason the 2 stars is because they are horribly priced. Bought my father a pastrami sandwich and he said it was good, however he wouldn't go back either. All I got was a Large Pastrami on White bread. Looked like a 12 in sub. Smaller overall size loaf filled with less than expecting amounts of food. My cousin is a fire captain and I've seen what Fireman sized meals look like & this wasn't it. The large sub cost $9.93!!!! No soda or side. I don't even want to know what a large combo would cost. Based solely on price I will not be going back especially when you can get larger more filling subs from Subway. I am truly bummed because the sandwiches look good, but when you get them they barely look filled with the sandwich meats. Not just mine either, as I got there during the lunch rush and I got mine to go so I saw a lot of subs come out. Truly bummed, I would give lower but I thought the staff and clean environment deserved a star each at least. Hope this helps. read more

This place is clean!! So, 2 stars for cleanliness. 1. If you place an order online and give a restaurant 25 minutes to make a sandwich, you would think your one sandwich would be ready upon pick up. Not the case! When I paid for it, the cashier said, "oh, its almost done, give it 3 minutes." Since when did 3 minutes become 10? 2. Easy dressing means easy dressing. Meh....next time I will just get an avocado and cheese from Togos or A-1 Deli. Very pricey for the mediocre veggie sandwich [no discounts for no meat I guess]. Reminds me a bit of Quiznos. My veggie sandwich wasn't listed on main menu, since it seems this place caters to mostly meat eaters who don't like veggies. I have driven by this place many times and decided to give it a try today. I am particular about my sandwiches and at first glance I was optimistic. I ordered my sandwich w/o all the trimmings...no lettuce, no tomato, no mayo, but add some mustard please. It took a little longer than I expected to get my order, but while waiting I was observing that it seemed like most of the staff was new and being trained. The manager was delightful, pleasant, friendly and I was very impressed with the way she handled training her staff. My order came up, took it out to the car, unwrapped it and...lettuce, tomato & mayo included. I took it back in and the manager apologized, said she would make a replacement herself and explained to the cashier how to handle a "special" order. Again, I was impressed with the way she handled her staff and the "boo-boo" made by the cashier. My order was delivered more quickly this time and the manager was kind enough to offer me a freebie as compensation. I thanked her, but passed (so not necessary as everyone was quite pleasant!). Back out to the car, unwrapped my sandwich and so far, so good. Ooopsie...no mustard. I will say that the bread was toasted to perfection, the meat was flavorful, moist & steamy hot. Thank goodness for the pickles to add a little something to my sandwich. I would be willing to try it again if I'm in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way at this point. Wow!!! 1st time ever in a Firehouse Subs place and it was truly awesome!!! I was greeted as soon as I opened the door and the A/C felt like heaven. The TV was on with the Baseball game and I knew then that this was going to be perfect. I ordered the Hook and Ladder Sub. Smoked turkey breast, ham and melted Monterey Jack cheese on honey wheat roll with all the extras! It was served steamed and YUM YUM!! Great price and great sandwich!!! read more

You would think making a grilled cheese wasn't that hard but they employees make it hard and always have to ask us after we order it if we want just cheese. What we do is order the veggie with no veggies since it comes with cheese on it but one time they brought us two regular veggie sandwiches it's not rocket science seriously, second of all I blame the employees less than the people that made the menu the corporation should of thought more and put a grilled cheese on the menu not make it this terrible experience for us. However once we do get the right order it is really good food and I really like their sandwiches there. I'll keep going there and hopefully something will be done so we can get a grilled cheese easier then I'll change my review read more

Probably the worst experience I've had here. The cashier wouldn't speak up and got my order wrong, then when they brought out our order I told them my sandwich was wrong they took it back and brought out a new which was still wrong!! First time I ever been to a Firehouse and I walked in about 7 PM and there was only one couple in there eating.. Kind of a red flag. Anyways, I ordered three different subs and they all tasted bad. Have you ever bought that packaged meat from a super market that cost like 69 cents?? Well that's what there meats taste like. Super thin all rolled up prepacked. Then they try to steam it in some kind of liquid and who knows when that liquid has last been changed or what types of meats have been in them.. They pull the meat out and drain out a bunch of liquid that its been sitting in. Just thought I would share. LOL I will not be eating here again... read more

I come here all the time with my roommates and the sandwiches are amazing, as for most of the Firehouses I have been too. However, the customer service I have experienced here is really what separates this Firehouse from some of the others I have been too. So I went to this place when it opened up. The Lady that helped me was awesome and totally professional. She ensured my sandwich was done right... to the extent that they were having trouble with the bread of my sandwich and it kept breaking apart, so they remade the sandwich 3 times! I was impressed and though that Firehouse was the In N' Out quality of Subs. BUT, since that first time, I've not seen that lady there... and that wonderful quality is gone. I've been back 4 more times and 3 of those times, they've screwed up my take home order. I'm particular to the Meatball sub with the sweet and spicy sauce.. my young girls are not. The sad combination of them throwing the visible seasoning and the spicy sauce underneath is greatly inconsistent... as if they have no clue how to build their sandwich nor have the ability to keep track which sandwich is spicy... one is not. You'd think after paying $25 - $30 on a meal, and for the time it takes them to build out the sandwiches, they'd get it right. Nope... just another minimum wage style attitude of "we could care less" at this location. Tonight was the last straw... It's just sad that the only thing that was right with my 3 sub order was the soda... just because I did that myself. Firehouse is pretty good. I have been a handful of times and have liked what I have ordered each time. They were willing to customize or change the sandwich if I didn't like a particular ingredient. The sandwich choices are unique compared to Subway and Togos. I do think it is more on the expensive side and it seems to take longer to get your order. I'm not sure why since they have an assembly line type of situation going on. One really cool thing is that they have a hot sauce bar. There are several rows of hot sauces from all over the country and they are labeled by spiciness on a scale from 1 to 10. So you can try one or several. There are to go cups to put them in so you can get some to go. read more

This is 2 ND time I've been there,,, - 1st time was great, told bunch of people, , ,, this time, got there @ 1 :00 was 1/2 full of patrons sitn down,,, eating, , We'll ordered sandwiches, - 40 min - later we asked them what's going on, ,,, doesn't take this long to make a sandwich. They said was a phone order, came in ordered 20 sandwiches... so people were in turning around and leaving cuz so unorganized, all staff were busy making this phone orders. I mean Realy, how stupid is that, ,,, what if they don't show 4 all these sandwiches, ,,,, we got actual costumers in line waiting, and ready to pay 4 food. Why don't u make them when they get there, like rest of us in line . Further more - done eating, then decided to order a chicken salad to go ,,, 2 guest in line ahead of me. They continue to make sandwiches as phone orders, came in and Basicly pushed my salad away to do orders after me, ( 45 min ) later after fact that I went complained, they made the salad, ,, vary disorganized, ,, don't know if I'll ever go back after experience like that. .. read more

This Firehouse Subs location is awesome. From my personal experience eating here multiple times over the course of the past year or so the food is always prepared as pictured on their menus, it's always tasty and served up pretty quickly, even when they are really busy during lunch or dinner rushes. The staff is friendly and the management has always been nice and remembers me when I come in on a regular basis and thanks me for coming in. Now that's customer service! My only complaint is once in a while they do run out of meatballs hehe, I do love the meatball sandwich, but they also have other sandwiches that are tasty too. If you haven't tried Firehouse Subs, you really should give them a try and if you are in or around Orange, CA, be sure to pop into this location. A+ for sure! read more

I tried firehouse subs today after seeing it in the parking lot for awhile now, I usually go to Togos across the parking lot. I ordered the Hero sub large with chips and a drink, $15, are you kidding me. The bread was probably the best part of sandwich. The sandwich in general had no flavor, I tasted bread, lettuce and a touch of mustard at the end and it had roast beef, turkey and ham on it. I am super disappointed at this sandwich. Plus it took a good ten minutes to make and there were only a two other sandwiches that came up before mine. I do not recommend eating at a firehouse subs unless you are used to tasteless products with no flavor in them. read more

Look, I love a good Italian grinder and Firehouse knows how to make one, but this location is wack! Had a blast with the kids the first time we came here because they give out little plastic kids fireman hats and let the kids play with real life fireman gear. My two were in heaven and I got really cute pics of my boy wearing those enormous boots. Every kid that came in was having a ball playing with the gear! So a few weeks pass and I decide to take them back to Firehouse for some fun and some hoagies, only this time the management wouldn't allow us to play with the gear, citing that it's 'very expensive', ok, say what??!! The stuff is right out there in the dining area on the floor. As we sat eating our lunch, I watched several families come in and direct their kids to play with gear, then the manager would come out and try to stop them, but then more and more kids would come and I think they finally gave up trying to police the gear just and let the kids play. So I'm sitting there having to keep my kids away while other kids played?! Make up your mind firehouse, if you don't let the kids play with the gear, then put it away! Obviously, I can never go back now. read more

Customer service is terrible. Ordered a sub online to make the process easier, biggest mistake. Paid for it online and was told I could just go to the pick up window and I would be on my way. Wrong. They make you go to the cash register then completely pay for it again. Then while trying to hand back the receipt got my bags shoved in my full hands. I'm hung. That is, hung between giving firehouse 5 stars and 2 or 3. Exceptional food in taste, quantity of food in the sandwiches and those wonderfully tasteful sauces. My sandwich is always hot...that is, if I'm not ordering cold, which I did one one occasion. Honest mistake them making a hot sandwich when I ordered it cold, but equally, it's a simple request/task, which I made clear upon placing my order...to go. What made it so bad, the cold sandwich I ordered was for my wife, and this husband dares not enjoy his meal if his loving other has found her order to be incorrect. It would be best for you to find some complaint in your own meal, if she's dissatisfied in hers. Simply utter a complaint of your own...and quietly devour. One evening at 8:25pm exactly, I stopped to silence my hunger pangs. The door was locked. I shook it to make certain. I looked at the 'hours open' sign...'9pm'. Several people inside looking as though they were cleaning up for the evening. 35 minutes before closing?! I gave a good rapping on the door. I know the girl had already seen me when I shook the door. It took a good pounding on the glass for the look of disgust on her face to accompany her shrugging self to the door. She clearly made me feel guilty that I hadn't assumed they were closed and just left. As I entered I immediately understood why she hadn't heard me. I couldn't tell if the music was heavy metal or rap. I've since surmised that at a certain level, one simply cannot tell the difference. Well, I ordered my meal and added an iced tea. Once paid and waiting, I found the tea was empty, which I mentioned to the young lady. She said she could make some fresh but it would take a while. I envisioned leaving with a hot sandwich getting cold if I decided to wait for some iced tea. I told her I'd pass on the tea. I was not offered a refund. Oh by the way, I also mentioned that they got my previous visits order incorrect, as I was once again getting a cold sandwich for my dear one. My mention went ignored. Anyway, I was not about to secretly enjoy another meal while I watched the wife eat in disgust again so I double checked my order before leaving. One does not enjoy that risk more than once. I will not and cannot accept that discolor upon my character again. I mean, I'm up for review in a few weeks... This place has the right idea, and the quality of the food is spot on. But the commitment to customer service the establishment most surely has set forth falls far short of even your lesser than average fast food drive thru. Firehouse needs to invest the same quality in their employees as they do their product or else a very good thing is going to go very bad...very quickly read more
