I was in here on 4/8/2026 and it was just one guy working and he was doing really well to get everyone's orders and was still making amazing food. While I waited the people around me were talking about how this location makes the the subs the best out of all the other where they lived and how their son only ate at this location. Ordered a salad and a chicken sandwich. Salad came with mostly rotten romaine lettuce and the cucumbers were missing. The sandwich tasted off and sour, like the cheese was bad or something. Great subs with a variety of options. All of the employees are very friendly and helpful. They prepare the subs very quickly for you.

Do not get the potato soup. You can also forget about getting any sort of resolution when you file a complaint with the corporate office. Corporate merely says they will pass the word along and the franchisee will contact you which never happens. Needless to say the refund I requested through corporate also has yet to come through. I used to love their soup. This actually happened twice at Marsh Landing location except the soup was burnt yet somehow still bland tasting and mushy. Thinking it was that one location I tried a third time at the Neptune Beach location and it was also horrible but in a different way- watery and undercooked with hard potatoes. This triggered the complaint to corporate over two months ago for which I am still pending a resolution or even a reply from either franchisee. Thinking I should get BBB involved now ... read more

We live this firehouse they are quick with the orders in store and even easier online. They are always very polite in this location.

I've never tried Firehouse subs but Chris and Lee at this location just made me a new regular! They even got me to eat mayonnaise! Super nice staff, very clean, very affordable. Definitely my new favorite sandwich shop! read more

I always go to this location. They were having a deal where you buy a 25 dollar gift card and get a free medium sub on your following visit. Well they ran out of the coupons for the free sub so the manager gave me his business card and wrote "free medium sub" on the back. He told me if I had any issues redeeming said sub then to give him a call and he would take care of it. Which is absolutely the coolest thing ever. At 8:30pm my husband and i entered the sandwich shop. We were not greeted and had to wait several minutes before someone acknowledged we were waiting. My husband picked up the order and sat down. We were then told by the young lady that we needed to sit outside because no customers were allowed in dining area after 8:30pm so they could clean. Had we been informed of this policy before placing order we would have left. Since the closing time posted on the door is 9:00pm it seems unreasonable after ordering we would be asked to sit outside. read more

There are one heck of a lot of sub choices at the beaches, and Firehouse is one of the better sub shops. The size and quality of the sub is tops in the positive category. Nothing special about the surroundings, but what sub shop has "atmosphere"? It does take a while to get the sub, but they are putting a lot of stuff between the bread halves. Yes, Subway is quicker and cheaper, but you get what you pay for. If you haven't had one, give it a try. read more

This place has the absolute worst service. This time we ordered on line on app at 6:08 PM. It's 649 just got my sandwiches. They hadn't even started making them when we arrived. Great sandwich--- but. Peruse the dozens of hot sauces on the counter, pick one. Ask the sandwich maker to put it on the sandwich when they make it . They will say they are not allowed to put it on the sub. They tell you that you have to do it. Means you have to unwrap it add sauce wrap it back up and then take it to go. Are they hiring such idiots that they can't be trusted to put a customers requested condiment on their precious sandwich? I guess they completed corporate mayo training and mustard prep school but hot sauce is beyond their mental capacity. Customer always right? Not here. read more

I've been a big fan of firehouse subs since they first came to Jax. I love that there's uniformity in all the locations so I always know I'm getting the same thing every time. And although I am not a hot sauce user I do feel the need to call out the jerk who left the 1 star review for them not putting the hot sauce on their sub. Did you ever stop to think that it was a company/franchise policy?
