We went through the drive-thru today and came home to eat our food only to find a fingernail in our drink. I called the manager, will be calling the health department. This is so unsanitary. What happened? Easy meal to avoid Valentine restaurant crowds but still treat the kids. They loved PDQ. Unfortunately all we received after a 15 minute wait (my husband said they were nice and apologetic, gave us two cookies), was a new type of chicken sandwich (large but flat, breading falling off, seasoning not good) and cold French fries (not sure if these changed too, or the flavor lacked based on them being cold). Either way they are going into the trash, all left over at the end along with the majority of the sandwiches. The only good thing I can say is the tomatoes and lettuce were fresh and employees nice. Another John's favorite for fast food. I sprung for the kids meal for Riley and knew, I'd get to eat some nuggets. Sure enough, it was a refuse-to-eat day for my grandson, so I got some tasty nuggets, but Riley did enjoy his chocolate milk. The mac-n-cheese was also great. PDQ has always been just ok for me. I've found the chicken to need seasoning and the bowls to be a little uninspired but I've always enjoyed the tots and shakes. When I saw that they were offering a holiday special with a fried turkey cutlet topped with cranberry relish, herb mayo, and lettuce, I decided to try it. They went all out to make this a Fall holiday meal. In addition to the sandwich, it came with sweet potato waffle fries paired with a spiced marshmallow dip and a pumpkin spice shake. The fried turkey sandwich had all of the flavor that I wished their chicken had. The patty was juicy and tender. It was really good even without all of the toppings, which I got on the side. Despite the fact that I'm not a big fan of mayonnaise, the herb one they offered was excellent and it was reminiscent of the flavors in stuffing. The fries were good but the marshmallow dip was cloyingly sweet and I resorted to using regular ketchup. The shake was ok. Other fast food places make a much better pumpkin pie shake such as Freddy's. All in all, this holiday meal was very successful. I Tried this place again after a few years. I wasn't a fan of the old fries but the waffle fries are definitely an upgrade. My friend recommended that I try the tenders tossed in the buffalo bleu dressing and then to dip them in the creamy garlic sauce. I'd say this may be the most unhealthy option, but it was definitely pleasant on the tastebuds. The tenders were pretty nicely sized and I would have actually been full from the 3 piece meal. I can usually eat a large amount of food but this was more than enough. Plenty of calories and plenty of food. I don't know if I'll crave it to keep wanting to come back. If I'm in the area I'll have it as an option. I'll have to try the chicken sandwiches again. I wasn't the biggest fan of them years ago. read more

Ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich (hold the pickles) with honey mustard and pdq sauce. Ladies and gentlemen I'm a Chick-fil-A advocate this sandwich needs some respect on it's name. You might ask how's it better then Chick-fil-A? The veggies were twice as fresh. The lettuce stayed crunchy. The chicken in the sandwich wasn't as big as your fist, but took you to flavor town. Even their rice and beans brought it's own unique taste. Not to mention 15 minutes less of a wait then Chick-fil-A. I've actually been dying to come here ever since someone told me they have a pimento cheese sandwich. I went through the drive through which was quick and efficient. I ordered the pimento cheese sandwich with fries and a chocolate shake. I was surprised to find the generous portion of pimento cheese thrown on the sandwich as well as the layer of chips. With all the different flavors of cheese, fried chicken, bacon, bread I would of thought there would of been more flavor. The fries are skinny steak fries- not my favorite in general. I asked for a side of ranch and was sadly disappointed in the small size- think half the size you would get at Moes for salsa. The chocolate shake tasted more like vanilla than chocolate. PDQ during this drive thru visit definitely was Pretty D*** Quick - perhaps too quick since they forgot to include my requested siracha sweet dipping sauce with my grab and go meal...but wait one, there's redemption. I had the grilled chicken salad [grilled chicken tenders served over mixed greens, tomatoes, candied almonds and craisins (cranberry raisins) with blueberry-ginger vinaigrette dressing]. Their lemonade is tangy, but refreshing. The staff is very friendly. It's cool that the guys wear clean white chef-like uniforms. The restaurant looks so clean, bright, and inviting. I went around lunch time and I was suprised at how quickly they staff got you in and out. I ordered a burger and 5 strips. I'll start in reverse I loved the fries it's a large amount and they come out nice and hot. Did I mention not one person behind the counter had a frown and everybody working in the front of the house was smiling and very polite!! My strips had just the right crisp to it and juicy also the sauces they have there are all good, while waiting I took it upon myself to sample them all. They have the coke freestyle machine so you get tons of options there as well as their own brand of sweet tea, lemonade, and Green tea. The food won't blow you away by any means but it is decent and seems fresh. Just like a hybrid Chick-fil-A and Zaxby's the menu offers a variety of chicken options from baskets to sandwiches and salads. You can get the chicken fried it grilled which is a nice option especially if you're trying to eat a tiny bit more healthy. The fried chicken has a good breading with decent flavor. All in all, I'd say this is just another fast food chicken that won't let you down. The inside is very open and bright. Without a doubt - the best. Every time I go back to Florida to visit my mom, I have to go here. The chicken here is fantastical. The fries favortastic. The sauces legiticosious. It's also a pretty cool place. The building is very large. You look up and you can see some raised ceiling that are very aesthetically pleasing. They have corn-hole outside if you want to play in the Jacksonville 130 degree heat that we love so much in Florida... They have a public hand wash outside the bathroom, right in the middle of the restaurant, so you can go into the center of the room and wash your hands with nice lavender soap. You can also sit and silently judge all of those you see who do not publicly wash their hands. Really really good chicken place. That's all you need to know. read more

I've only used the drive thru at this location but on more than one occasion. On my visit this week I was pressed for time and wanted something healthy, fresh and tasty. I looked over the menu although I pretty much knew what I wanted. PDQ re-wrote the drive thru experience by eliminating the crappy speaker ordering system with a pleasant person. Brittanyyy (with 3 YYY's) greeted me w a smile and took my order. She repeated it for accuracy and asked if I wanted just the sandwich or to make it a combo. I went sandwich only. My selection was the Cali Club Chicken sandwich. Have your chicken cooked your way, I went fried. It's topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato and onion then finished with avocado. Pull around to the next window and my freshly prepared sandwich was ready shortly after I arrived. Another friendly smile and she handed me my water and then sandwich. I love the way the box and wrap your sandwich so you can eat it without making a mess. For $4 and change the food is quite tasty and the service was friendly and efficient. Great job PDQ! read more
