As I was enjoying my meal, I saw that the store manager was looking out his store front watching a young mother with her 2 young daughters walk across the parking lot empty handed from the nothing bundt cake store (next door to firehouse). I looked at my watch and realized that the nothing bundt cake store had already closed at 7pm and the family was unable to purchase anything. Super classy move next - the firehouse store manager hustled out to the young mother and I presumed that he asked her how he could help. Next thing I witnessed is the store manager coming back into his store and then bringing out 3 brownies to the mother and her 2 daughters gratis. This all transpired in a matter of minutes. From this point forward, I will always hold this firehouse in the highest regard because of this store managers generosity and his "above and beyond" personal actions to help others. read more

I am generally happy with Firehouse Subs, hut it seems there are issues when ordering throught the app. We asked for NO ONIONs on a hook and ladder order, box even stated it had no onions, but when we looked at the sandwich, there where lots of onions. Firehouse Subs serves a solid sandwich. I love how the staff all greet you when you walk in the door. Just lets you know they appreciate your business. They have a lot of sandwich options and I don't go much so I took the suggestion of the associate and ordered the turkey bacon ranch. It is a specialty hot sub. I wasn't too sure about the ranch dressing but it was peppercorn ranch, so I tried it and liked it. All the ingredients were fresh, as well as the bread. I don't normally like toasted subs, but I'm glad I tried something new. I also picked up a bag of chips. I had to wait about 5 minutes for my sub to be prepared. It was busy but not crowded. The restaurant was clean. I love that it was founded by firefighters. Don't forget to round up your order and donate some change to their charity. This is probably the last time we'll ever order from Firehouse. In as many months, every single time we've ordered, the order has been completely wrong. And today was no different; but it is 'the straw that broke the camel's back'. My wife ordered a toasted Engineer sub on wheat with light mayo and no lettuce, extra banana peppers and an extra pickle. I ordered an untoasted Italian on white with extra banana peppers and extra pickle. What she got was an untoasted Engineer on white with extra mayo and no banana peppers and not even the pickle. I got a toasted Italian on wheat with no banana peppers, no mayo and no pickle. It's like the sandwich makers decided to just make up what they wanted to put on a sandwich and as we work from home, we didn't have the time to open the sandwich, inspect it and send it back for them to fix. I wish we could blame it on lack of help within the store, but there were 3 people behind the counter and only 3 people dining in. It's sad when a hometown chain such as this fails consecutively at their own forté. I'm just glad we have smaller chains like Larry's Giant Subs and Angie's Subs that can and will get our order correct without making us feel like we're troubling them to keep them in business. read more

Consistent chain that makes decent hot subs. Prime time lunch time carried a longer than average wait today. The place was maybe 70% full but there appeared to be a lot of call-in or online orders. I ordered a pastrami sub and it just happened to be national pastrami day - literally no clue - #ftw. The sub was ok but I felt they could have done a better job distributing the meat more evenly throughout the sandwich. It definitely leaned heavy on one side - yeah it's minor - but a pet peeve nonetheless. For the chains, Firehouse does a good job. Be sure to join their rewards club if you dine here frequently. I have no idea why I procrastinated about visiting this sub restaurant.... I mean after all they do serve the best Smokehouse Brisket & Cheddar sub I've ever tasted. I've just been consumed with some many other restaurants nearby but, on this day... I wanted to experience a taste for something I haven't had in awhile and that taste was finalized when I saw Firehouse. #Subs Upon entering the establishment, I received the most heartiest and traditional welcome. i will certainly not be taking my lunch break at this fire house subs anymore. it took them 32 mins to make a simple sub. they didn't even have to cook anything. how can they expect working Americans to have a 45 min lunch break for one sub. Firehouse subs are straight...FIRE. The Hero is where it's at for me. HEALTHY heapings of ham, turkey, and roast beef with melted provolone. Firehouse steams the meat and cheese before putting it on the bread. My word. The meat and cheese is so good that I don't even allow veggies to get in the way. Meat, cheese, and mayo only on wheat. Apparently the other sandwiches are just as delicious I just haven't ventured from the Hero yet. Maybe one day. If you haven't been to Firehouse yet it's time to make it happen. The staff at this location are all extremely friendly and the restaurant is nice and clean. With a couple TV's in the dining area pull up a chair and enjoy your meal. I already love Firehouse subs but last night I stopped by to try out their new 500 and under menu which I had yet to try before because let's face it I like to eat and I always feared I wouldn't feel satisfied after eating a smaller sandwich. But for free I'll try anything once....food, we're talking food. Anyways, I was pleased to hear from the girl passing out menu's while I waited in line that while the size of the sandwich is smaller (less bread = less calories) they actually still have the same amount of meat as their medium subs. I decided to try the Turkey & Cranberry because I just love the flavors of Thanksgiving. I had a short wait, but considering how many people were also partaking in the freeness of food it was not bad at all. I got mine to go and headed home to try it out. The cashiers are always friendly and so helpful when I have to order a bunch of different subs for my husband and his friends. They make sure to retread each order to make sure it is 100% correct. The subs are always fresh and taste amazing. Plus, the employees number the subs so we know which is which. I've never seen this place dirty, either. Which means mayo, deli (spicy) mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and my favorite! A dill pickle! It's probably the honey ham, but there is a subtle sweetness to this combination that I love. It's probably just as good hot as it is cold; I was on my way into work and I ate the sub throughout my shift - so over a 15 hour span. The interior and restroom was clean, the employees were friendly, my order was accurate, and the service was quick. *If you can't find your pickle when you get your sub to-go, don't fret! When I walked in no one greeted my boyfriend or I. Also no one here seems like they want to be here since there is no smiling or acknowledgement that customers are here. The lady taking our order didn't seem like she actually wanted to talk to us nor did she ask if we've been in before or if we needed her to run down the menu. As other people came in they never got greeted either nor was anyone inviting. I work in customer service so I understand how there can be days like this, but never the entire staff like this.
