We stopped in for dinner after watching our granddaughter's softball game. We love Zaxbys and never really had any issues but today at this location our spicy chicken sandwich dry and overcooked. It really didn't have much flavor like it had before. I'm thinking today at this location maybe they had a new cook and they were still learning. We also ordered the new Strawberry Cheesecake Bites. Those were really good and definitely recommend you try those! It was my birthday so yes I had to order the Birthday Milkshake and it was really good! Everything was good except the tofu, the two way overcooked shrimp in my Bun/vermicelli and the meatballs which were also in my salad. My mom had a tofu ban mi and the tofu was rock hard. Maybe they need a new cook. Shrimp is like 30 seconds of cooking. I'd say the shrimp was cooked for 5 minutes. Great service. During my visit to this Zaxby's, the crew member who served me appeared as if she was bothered. He demeanor wasn't horrible with taking my order and my simple request for sauces to go with my tenders seemed to have been an issue for her. I walked in... up to the counter i go. i ordered my meal. with swiftness my name was called out. I jumped out my seat in excitement... now you see... i have never been to a Zaxbys before (Illinois Resident, Plainfield to be specific.) We only having Rasin Caines up there... (Boooooo ) I grabbed my food and sat down... now hold on we haven't talked about the decorations yet... slow your roll John! I ordered the 3 Piece tender meal, but no eating yet. Next step the chicken.... into the unknown realm it goes. BOOM wonderfully cooked to perfection with no connection to the main frame. Before we continue i go back up to the counter to ask for the zaxbys barbecue sauce.... I sprint back to the table full speed rip it open and dip the next tender in. boom-shaka-laka. A hit and a home run!!! Emma at the counter was incredibly rude. She was giving me such a dirty look and snarky attitude, my boyfriend had to say something to her!!!! We never say anything when someone is rude, we just review it, but this time he had to intervene. On a lighter note, nothing like this had ever happened before or since this isolated incident. I used to crave Zaxby's every morning, noon and night. I would go to this location, since there is not one at the Beaches....unfortunately! This fast food restaurant is very well kept and the employees are all uniformed properly. There is plenty of seating, but if you go around Lunch be prepared to fight for a seat, because it gets PACKED! The food comes out just minutes after you order, thus they do have the fast factor, and the food is great! This location almost always messes up orders. Asked for a custom salad (just removed some veggies, nothing crazy) on several occasions and they were wrong. Other times, wrong dressing was given. Have also ordered the wings & things and only got chicken strips. You pay darn near $11 for it and then get home to find you got a $6 meal instead. Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday and was surprised at how quiet it was - I'm guessing the entrance from Beach Blvd doesn't help since you have to drive through a bank's parking lot. The young lady at the counter, Jenna , was polite however not personable, most likely related to time. We tried to explain to her that she was don't have Zaxby's in Texas where were from and that we would be quick and make sure our area stayed clean. She was not impressed. The place was clean, there wasn't any tea at all but I loved the option of the coke freestyle machine. There wasn't any plastic ware at all, and it was wet all over the floor. Nom, nom, nom yummy chicken. We eat at Zaxby's about once a week, my husband is completely addicted. I'm not as addicted as he is, but I do love it! We have been to a few different locations around Jax, this is our favorite (and not just because it's close to home!) It's always very clean and the service is good and pretty quick. Their prices are really good, you can get a good amount of food for cheap! We always get the same thing, Kiddie Finger (hate that name) for me, Kickin' Chicken Sandwich Meal for him. Slowest drive thru I've ever seen. It took 20 minutes. If you want to eat there you might as well go inside and sit down.

Food is always fresh and hot, but the wings are always dry. I normally buy extra wing sauce and add more to my wings.
