Went in today to give it a try since it was new in the area. The cashier up front was very friendly and polite! As well as super helpful! Order the Firehouse meatball (medium size) and got a combo with it. Was super happy they have the Raspberry Lime option since it sooo good! Their chip selection was great! Even had Baked and Sunchips! the meatball sandwich is a great size!! Definitely will fill you up. The only thing I would say is I should order it with extra cheese next time! Otherwise it was great! Not a good first impression. Understanding they are adhering to the China virus rules, the service was extremely slow. 15 minutes from order to receiving our two sandwiches. My sandwich was the Hook and ladder, I found it tasty. My wife's was the spicy chicken, was very sloppy and didn't really care for it. There we only 2 customers ahead of us, and the made one of theirs wrong. He got a new sandwich, and no apologies. A shame when there is more people behind the counter than in the store the service should have been better. The 5 of them didn't seem to know what the other was doing. I walk in Sunday at noon. The restaurant is EMPTY. I order a turkey sandwich. The two people behind the counter are working on something? I stand there 10 minutes. All the time they are doing something. Another two minutes I get my little sandwich. 12 minutes for a sandwich I could have made in one minute . Food is average. And Pricey So what is going on at Firehouse? I figured out they had Call-In Orders that they put before an actual person standing in front of them. Great Employees---- consider taking one minute working on the order of the person in front of you and delaying your Door Dash order by a minute. I'm there and the door dasher is NOT Even There! if you made my sandwich first you would have had a happy customer. Now I'm telling everyone not to go there and I won't be back. I've been wanting to give Firehouse Subs a shot. Thought it might be a good alternative to Jersey Mike's or Subway. But I was wrong. I ordered the steak and cheese. The bag, sandwich container, and napkins had food and grease all over them. Maybe the person making the sandwich shouldn't be the one bagging them? Or maybe change your gloves? The meat was super salty. The bread was super soggy. If I wanted a soggy sandwich, I would have ordered pastrami from The Hat and drenched it in au jus. It just fell apart when I picked it up. I was at the shop before the sandwich came out, so it's not a case of I let it sit around. No way would I even be able to eat this on the go. If you're going to charge $15 for a sub, make it good. read more

Okay. I usually go to this location once a week and spends like $40-$50 per visit. But, it has been very disappointing to see they are repeating same mistakes over and over. Today, there were only one customer waiting and I placed an order for two large sandwiches and a potato soup. And again I found out the soup was missing when I got home and opened the bag. They forgot the cookie the other day. Honestly, now I don't even want to call them and explain this whole thing and drive 12 mins of my precious time to get the soup back. I rather stop going to this location. Most importantly, be aware that they take at least 20 minutes on every orders even during the slow time of the day. Ordered online, which I always do. Got kids meals and paid extra for brownies. They didn't give me the fire hats or the brownies which I didn't know until I got home. They are soooooo slow!! It took over 45 min to get 2 kids grilled cheeses and a roast beef and they have messed up orders of ours in the past... really terrible customer service and when you ask about time or try to get your order fixed they are rude and unaccommodating. Think I'll be driving to the location on el toro from now on, it's farther but a way better experience AND they honor the kids eat free on weekends, which this location did not. Soo... the roast beef was dry, there was cheese but no mayo or Italian dressing and barely any meat, once again it was wrong. The kids' grilled cheeses were burnt with very little cheese as well. Thankfully I'm not the sand which savant but dude you guys do not need that much sauce on a fucking sandwich. I paid for meat and cheese amongst other things and just got a sandwich thin on meat and absolutely drenched with the sauce. The bread was soaked (not in the good way) and it just felt like I ordered an 18 dollar bbq sauce sandwich. This is the closest Firehouse near me. I enter the building and two young ladies welcome me in. I ordered a standard large meatball sub. The manager/shift lead seemed a bit lost and glanced back. He returned to me and said, no problem. He had on a different shirt than the others so I think possibly a manager or leader or something. I think they were attempting to guide another employee on how to prep meatballs. Mind you, I have now overheard them say that the meatballs quote; "probably aren't ready, but the top ones should be warm.." There was some hesitation at this point, and I'm not sure what's going on either. I went to sit down at this point assuming they needed extra time (although no one told me I had to wait) The young man who'd I'd assumed to be a leader at register seemed out of his element and I don't know if the difference in shirts matter but I think this location needs some fine tuning. I believe Firehouse Subs has better standards. Not trying to leave a scathing review! (4+ stars) I feel the employees I got in touch with during this time seemed to understand my frustration. Please, check the orders before you make them! I ordered two subs yesterday, one with no pickle due to preference, one with no pickle due to a severe allergy. Both sandwiches unfortunately came with pickles and were missing tomatoes. I made sure to check the receipt to ensure that I hadn't made a mistake ordering, and the receipt was correct, but my sandwiches were both wrong. read more

Here's my experience with this location: On March 24th, I ordered online ahead of time for a noon pick-up and when I got there, there was only 1 employee working and I didn't get my order until 30 minutes after the pick up time at 12:30. The employee working was a rock-star and doing the best she could, but she was still struggling with the lunch rush. I filled out their online form to let them know of the situation. In it, I suggested that they offer her a raise, and that if they have staffing issues or the inability to fulfill online/app orders in a timely manner, they temporarily turn them off. I also asked for a partial refund or future discount for the experience that unnecessarily took up a large portion of my lunch break. If it were me and I were the only employee on duty, I would have walked out of the job. There are plenty of other places hiring right now that don't put that kind of pressure on their employees. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and give them the opportunity to respond before leaving a poor review for this location, but it seems Firehouse Subs corporate doesn't care or just didn't read what I wrote. "Jeff" who's signature line says he's the "Southern California Area Representative" responded to me over 2 weeks later with the following message (copy/pasted from my e-mail): "I am following up on your visit to our location in Foothill Ranch.   Please contact me when it is convenient for you. I look forward to speaking with you." Sorry, Jeff. I don't really want to speak with you. I just want you to show me you've fixed your issues if you want me to return as a customer. read more

I never leave reviews but I had a super disappointing experience here today. I ordered pickup via door dash because it is much cheaper than getting it delivered. When I got there they had a sign that said they were low on staff so I tried to be patient. I did ask since it was my first time picking up there where I picked up mobile orders and the young genterlman said where I was was fine. After waiting about twenty 35 minutes at the store 45 minutes total including when I ordered it I finally asked about my order and they let me know there were machines were down. She didn't tell me she could make the sandwich or ask to see my order just said she couldn't help me at all. I have worked retail and I know fast food workers are far too underpaid to be screamed at by me and that my sandwich problem was not a means to yell out a young girl so I just left. However the management who owns this shop needs to do some serious work on their part I will not go back again and I know my $8 lunch means nothing to them but I still thought I would give my feedback so someone else doesn't waste their lunch break. read more

I come here almost every single weekend with my kids after their gymnastics class. I always order the food online and have the order ready for pickup immediately after their class. More times than not, the food has not even been prepared for the scheduled time that it should be but I tolerate it because I like the food, as do my kids. However, it's been twice now that I've waited well beyond what would be considered acceptable. Last time I waited 45 minutes! It wasn't much longer after that, that the store was temporary closed. I thought, good, maybe they're under new management because that whole experience was so strange. I showed up and the doors were locked with the lights off. I waited and waited since I had already paid for my food online. 20 minutes pass, I call the store and someone luckily answered and said that the doors will be opened soon and my order will be ready shortly. One guy opened the door and was rushing as quickly as he could to prepare all the orders, all by himself. He had indicated that his coworker didn't show up for work and it was just him. I felt bad for him but in what world is this ok? The doors were locked! Anyways, after the store reopened, I thought I'd give it another whirl. It's been relatively ok so far, been about 6-7 times since it reopened but today, I waited 25 minutes for my order. I ordered online, per usual, for a 12:05pm pick up and I didn't get my food until 12:30pm. I received no apology, no "thank you for waiting," offer of a discount, or anything. Unacceptable. It was obvious that more than a handful of us were experiencing the same thing because the front of the store was packed with angry customers, just standing around for their online orders. Also, I think it's worth mentioning that I have my kids waiting in the car during every single one of my visits so if the order is not quick, it's not only an inconvenience generally speaking but this now causes a major concern as a mom and I have to constantly walk to the store to see if my food is ready, walk back to the car to check on my kids, then back to the store.
