It's been awhile since I've been here but it was close to where I was and just wanted to pick up something quick for dinner so I stopped by. There were two men working, they were both nice and since I was the only one there my order was taken and made pretty quickly. While I was waiting, a couple of people came to pick up their orders but other than that it seemed pretty slow for dinner time. My sub was good, not the best in the world but being a chain restaurant it was good, plus I like that they support public safety though their Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation which provides different resources as well as equipment to firefighters. I'd say it's a bit on the expensive side but again I'm happy to pay a little more in order to help support their mission of helping firefighters. read more

Went to Firehouse sub for their Thanksgiving sub. They served me a sub with the tiniest pieces of turkey that I needed reading glasses to see. The presentation was terrible. They could have been nice and tell the truth they were out of turkey instead of selling me turkey scraps. Avoid this location. I have been to other locations and had medallion size pieces of delicious turkey. This location just doesn't care about their customers. When I mentioned this to the employees, he said I will tell the owner. He was probably the manager. Second time giving me a bad sub. Never again! read more

Ordered on app had had about a ten minute wait which want to bad. The Resturant was clean and inviting. Ordered a turkey and cheese sub. It was delicious!! Turkey was very tasty and the toppings were very fresh. The bread was wonderful as well. Will definitely return to this location. read more

For as many years as this location has been around it's always been a solid spot to visit when I'm in the mood for a tasty sub. As with other locations, I love how their bread is always fresh & toasted perfectly. They offer a nice variety of hot & cold subs. I appreciate how the sandwiches are made consistently here. Whether I choose to order in store or through the app, they're usually super quick. Online orders are completed by the given time & made accurately whenever I modify them. Employees here are typically friendly, as well. They do a good job at keeping the store clean but sometimes it can be a little hectic during peak hours. Overall, however, it's usually kept pretty tidy. They've expanded their menu in recent years which can always be hit or miss. In their case, it's definitely a hit. They offer limited-time sub flavors along with their tried & true go-to's. It's good to change things up once in a while but I'll always be loyal to my favorite Hook & Ladder sub. Combining delicious food, good service & a philanthropic business model is a sure way to keep me coming back time & time again. In fact, I just might stop by this week! read more

Located on the corner of University and Stirling, this Firehouse Subs is generally pretty consistent. We ordered ahead in the app and it said it would be ready at 6:20. Was ready about 5 minutes earlier so that was nice. It's always kind of empty in there but somehow they have been in this plaza for a long time. It took a while for either of the employees to acknowledge me being there but I guess cause they were both busy making sandwiches. The sandwiches last night were fine but nothing special. Order was accurate and they remembered the pickle which other locations usually forget. The bread was just toasty at the front and back end of the sandwich rather than all throughout. I can't tell if they put less meat on than they have in the past but seemed like maybe so. Overall I will return when I'm in the mood for a hot sandwich and in the area. read more

The hot subs at Firehouse are good. When I saw they were for limited time are offering a French Dip sandwich. It was an Excellent sandwich well seasoned & auju dipping sauce, good topping Swiss chesse, onions & mayo. After a too long extended period of 5 years of No in house hot sauce due to CV -19 it finally back. Service is always quick & consistent. Never dirty & comfortable ambiance. read more

The food was fine, but the two guys working around 3:30 PM on 12/14/25 were calling my boyfriend and I queers and other slurs in Spanish thinking we couldn't understand them. Wasn't worth confronting them about it, but yeah! Love that. read more

The food was okay as far as taste goes but I noticed upon entering the resturaunt it was not very clean. There were no other customers there when I arrived and there were dirty tables and stuff on the floor. I did not leave because I've eaten here for a long time with no issues. (Unfortunately, it is now several hours later and I have woken up due to a horrible stomach ache). I ordered what I often do, a meatball sub combo. The cost for a medium combo was a whopping $16+. I told my wife who I was on the phone with after I ordered that prices have gone sky high! Upon finishing my sub which tasted fine I noticed a small ant/termite looking bug crawling around in my basket. I will not be back at this firehouse which I have come to for years. read more

I always order through the app so can't talk about the direct customer service but my order is always ready, the staff are attentive when I walk in and need to ask questions or make changes last minute (like switching out my chips). My sandwich's have been a hit or miss so I guess it just depends on who makes it! But I've always been loyal to firehouse. I love their mission behind why they exist and that they give back to the firefighter community. The restaurant is always clean which makes me feel good about ordering there! read more

Somehow I had like 11,000 points on their app. Not sure how when I do not eat here very often. I was notified they were increasing the amount of points you need to redeem a free sub. Anyway, that got me to visit them. The cashier, who I believe is the manager is difficult. I ordered a Hook and Ladder. I asked three times to verify they would not put mayo on my sub. He said no. No mayo. Great! I asked for extra pickles. He said we don't have any. But next time you come here we will. When I was leaving I asked if they have any red wine vinegar. He said we only have it mixed with oil and oregano. I said ok. Please put it on the side. I get home and taste what was in the container. Luckily I did before putting it on my sub. It was straight oil!!!!! Nothing else. I threw it away. And guess what? I looked at the sandwich and see a bunch of mayo on it. I took off as much as I could. Anyway, I split the very large sandwich with my Mom. She loved it. I thought it was ok. Not bad. What if I were allergic to mayo? This guy didn't care. Over and over he told me there would be no mayo on it. Not running back. read more

Firehouse sub, you guys have one of the best meatball subs in the game the way the cheese melt on meatballs it taste so good and the sauce have a little sweetness to it. You can't beat it for. Sure. Service is excellent. I have not had a problem with fire sub every time I've come I've ordered online and I've ordered at the store. I haven't waited more than seven minutes for my food. That is amazing as far as ambience. I mean, you definitely can go in there grab a sub eat, catch a vibe bring a laptop and do got Wi-Fi and stuff like that but that's pretty much it. I definitely will be back read more

Anytime that I have come here I have never had a single problem and honestly that is amazing because I come here quite often! The place is insanely clean and they have minimized tables and space them out so you are always 6 feet away from people. They also told wear masks I'm encouraged touchless transactions as much as possible. Allow their sub or a little on the pricey side you are getting what you pay for it in my opinion because they are so much better than Subway or other sub places chain wise like this. I get the meatball sub and OMG is at Heavenly. It is always toasted to Perfection and the sauce that is absolutely delicious and seasoned exquisitely. The staff is also really friendly and help with any order or questions you may have with the menu! read more

This place is truly great, if not for the food, which in itself is great (I'm a big fan of the Jamaican Jerk Turkey), for the customer service. If you happen to show up during Lele's shift be ready to have a great time. Lele is singing, dancing, and enjoying life all while taking your order and making you a great sub. Definitely the attitude you need halfway through your day. And did I say that the Subs are great? - they definitely! - In my book this particular location is highly recommended!! read more

Not even one star I would give them after my horrible experience tonight. I placed an order for pick up at 8:15pm. I get to the store at 8:30pm and the doors locked. They were not closed as their hours are until 9pm. There were two employees inside. A young man was sweeping the floor while a female employee was standing behind the counter looking down at her phone. Neither noticed me standing there so I knocked. The female employee then proceeds to walk to the pick up area and yells loudly with an attitude "WHAT'S YOUR NAME?" I give her a look like WTF and point to the door so she can let me in. I was not about to yell back at her from outside the restaurant. She again yells the same thing with more attitude this time. I mouth out my name and she grabs the bag and hands it to me while I'm still standing outside. I asked her to confirm the order was under my name and she just went "mhm" and closed the door on my face and locked it again. This is unbelievable to me as I have never experienced anything like this anywhere. I was picking up my sandwich after the gym so I was starving and was actually planning on eating it at the restaurant instead of waiting until I got home. I will never come back here again. Reading the previous reviews, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the same "manager" everyone complains about. Can't believe an establishment such as Firehouse which works with the firemen of this country would allow such a horrible person with the nastiest attitude to work there. I definitely emailed their customer service and am waiting to hear back. From now on I will drive the extra mile and go to the Plantation location where I've never seen this kind of rude behavior. Oh to makes matters worse, my order was wrong. I asked for no pickle spear which was marked in big letters on the receipt taped to the bag that had my order and yet when I got home, there was a nasty soggy pickle spear right on top of my sandwich. I hate pickles and could literally taste it on the bread. I also asked for it to be toasted and it was not toasted but instead cold and soggy due to the pickle sitting on top of it. I'm so upset because I really like firehouse subs but this experience definitely put me off from ordering here for a while. read more

I go to Firehouse Subs every so often. My favorite sub from them as the hook and ladder. This time I ordered it with extra mustard and no mayo. Maybe they heard no mayo or mustard because there was absolutely no mustard on the sandwich. I happened to run out of mustard a week or two ago and still haven't bought it. Otherwise I would have added the mustard. The sandwich was so dry. The meat seems to be pretty high quality for fast food. It is thinly cut and they are generous with the amount they give. I also got a bag of Lay's chips and a brownie. The brownie is pretty good from them. It was fresh. They are open for dine in eating but I brought my sandwich home. It was huge. I will come back here but will pay attention about the mustard next time because it really does make the difference for me. read more

Firehouse Subs - Hook & Ladder Large Sub - Sandwiches Near Me - Davie, Florida

First had to verify they were open because the open sign was off. Apparently it was the manager working up front sweeping the floor while talking to someone on her phone through ear Bud. Never acknowledged me once. As I walked out I stated that it would have been nice to be greeted... she instantly became inflamed with her voice and language. When I asked for her manager, she said she was! I asked for District manager and she refused to provide me a contact. Then I said let me record this so it doesn't get twisted and manager threatened to call the police on me because I was recording. Terrible experience and I'll likely never step foot in any of these places again. read more

Awful. I ordered through the app. An employee called to say they didn't have medium size bread, which is what I ordered, so they'd have to put the sandwich on a large size bread. The sandwich is for my son who can't eat that much, but I said fine. She then said I'd have to pay extra which is... just... absurd. Too absurd to even explain why it's absurd. I said that's ridiculous and she said she wouldn't give me free food, so I'd have to pay. I pointed out the app allowed me to order and the error -- ridiculous to begin with for a sub place -- was theirs. She hung up on me. I called back and there was no answer. I was already almost at the store -- yes, this messed up my afternoon -- so I stopped at the store. She said to cancel on the app, the app says it can only be cancelled by the store, which she claimed she could not do. I filed a complaint with the customer service email system and they wrote back that they would forward my concerns to the store! This is insane. So at the end of the day instead of having lunch picked up for my son, I had Firehouse Subs steal $15 from me and make very clear there would be no recourse, I guess other than me disputing the charge with the credit card, which puts the burden on me and on the credit card. Obviously, we will never be back at a Firehouse Subs. read more

I've been to this location plenty of times before but we had a bit of a day doing errands with my uncle so time to begin the review it's a very rainy day in Florida we're eating inside today looking in a lot of people sitting down no one in line I'm getting the New York steamer as a Large we arrived at 12:52 pm and a bag of blue Doritos I got the Combo there redoing the signs put the order in at 12:54 very fast smells good in here just waiting now gonna fill my cup up with root beer I filled it with the barqs vanilla cola it taste good no root beer taste but almost a scent type taste the vanilla is just a instant hit for me I remember making vanilla ice cream and this is the reminder and the aftertaste is almost like lemon on your tongue while I'm waiting for the food it's just raining outside it's been like this since 8 in the morning so just another Florida Bi Polar weather day my uncle got his first I'm just waiting now the guy said 2 minutes so just gonna wait there's anyone maybe ham and cheese time to try it also I got white bread and mustard nice and lukewarm the bite is sour with the mustard but moist the meat is salty but juicy and enjoyable a good combination the cheese is like provolone almost every bite is just a lot of salt from the ham or meat the meat taste like lunchables almost a lot of sodium but every bite is enjoyable and relaxing from a long boring rainy day the mustard just really brings more of a sour taste it's weird the Doritos are good just more toned down flavor from the seasoning or spices almost I'm gonna rate this a 3.8 really good but sour and salty not the best sun I've got here before but it's decent I got a refil of Fanta lime taste very limey and very spicy when it comes to carbonation a great combination I got another refill for the cup of Fanta lime cause I drank like 75 percent so fast total was $35 bucks for both us really good customer service and the man asked me howd I like the sub at the end so attentive and kind they get a A+ for that (This review was written in Chronological order of my experience here) read more

This place is a joke, how it's even staying open is beyond me. The staff could care less about working and more about personal things. The lady was on her phone while working the ENTIRE time she was making food. No white bread, no tomatoes, no sauce. I asked for NO LETTUCE. The guy repeated my order and again I said no lettuce. What do you think happened? The sandwich was LOADED with lettuce. Can't make this stuff up. $12 for a small crappy sandwich is robbery. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I ordered through the app for pick up at 11:30, the store was closed upon arrival. I requested a refund from customer service and was told I'd be getting a call from the local store. No one called. I called them myself a few days later. They took down my info and said I'd get a call from the manager. No one called again. To be honest, if I could give you zero stars I would. I walk in. There's about three people sitting there with their phones in their hands so of course they're doing deliveries to black girls behind the counter. They look up they don't even say hello good afternoon welcome to firehouse like the old people used to do. And I can't believe that it took literally 13 1415 minutes for them to take my order. I just sat there and then I noticed one of them long braids. The braids are everywhere flipping the braids. The other one has a hair no hat on no hair I thought that was a safety thing with the department of health that you have to have a safety net on your hair, if you are working around food service. No thank you no nothing shouldn't even tip the 15% ahead of time. I don't even know why I did and I tell you I'm not lying. It literally took 20 minutes for me to get all they care about is fill these orders for takeout. What happens with the customer that sitting right there in front of younever again read more

Firehouse was very clean as always. However no matter how many times I give the restaurant a chance given that I really like the concept behind the restaurant, I am somehow disappointed. A chain is a chain is a chain....or is it? With so many great sub places in Davie, Firehouse is not usually at the top of my list. My kids do adore the place, though. The subs are not huge like LaSpadas but the meat is very tasty and the subs are served hot. I enjoy the "Hero" with turkey, ham, and roast beef. Occasionally, I have treated myself the NY steamer with Pastrami and Corned Beef. It is not authentic NY deli but it is tasty. This location's food is pretty consistent with every other Firehouse Subs I have ever been to. So what differentiates this one? The very slow service. Servers are very friendly but they move at a snail's pace. This was not just on one occasion but on several visits. Knowing this, I tried to place a phone order yesterday so the order would be ready for pick up when I got there. I got cut off in the middle of placing my order. I then tried to call back several times but there was no answer. When I got to the store there were only 2 parties ahead of me and my order still took 20 minutes to prepare. 20 minutes for two subs? At a chain? That's crazy! With do many options for great subs in the area including LaSpadas, Mr M's, Sub Center, I will not be coming back here unless the kids insist or the service improves. read more

This was a nice hot sub with lots of meat. The girls working were very kind and professional. Good place.

Long wait time at this location. Then when we went home we discovered that we were given someone else food.

Horrible customer service. I ordered online through the app with two separate orders. They gave me one of my orders and then refused to make me my second one "because the order didn't go through the system" even though I showed them the email receipt as well as the in app receipt. They refused to make my order or offer me a refund saying it was an online issue and that I needed to figure it out myself. After that, when I asked to talk to the manager, the manager had the audacity to talk back to me, call me racial slurs, and offered no solutions whatsoever. I have never seen this low of customer service in my life. I hope that this manager gets fired as she has absolutely no right managing anything. In case ownership sees this, the manager is the black women with glasses.
