I had been to Culver's in Tampa once and was excited to see they opened this location not too far from me. This location is super clean compared to other fast food restaurants and there is staff walking around to bring people their orders and clean the tables/collect trash. Those employees are very nice, I wish I got the name of the lady who helped me while waited for my things because she was so sweet. The food was very fresh, you could tell it was prepared to order. It was nice and hot and very tasty. Next time I'll try a burger or one of the chicken sandwiches. read more

Wow, I was very excited to try Culver's. So many people I know love it. I wasn't unhappy with the food but it did not mesmerize me. I ordered take out and there were probably a dozen employees behind the register and off to the side handling drive thru orders? I don't even know if they have drive thru here, but it seemed they do because these employees were in a separate section. Anyway, despite all the employees no one could tell me where pick up for take out orderes was. No signs and this was very annoying. How can they not know this?!? Finally got the food and went home. I ordered the Butterburger with cheddar. I thought it was pretty good. Nothing too memorable but not bad at all. I am glad I ordered the large fry because I shared these with my Mom and well, there wasn't too many fries for a large. A medium must be super skimpy. She got the Culver's Deluxe including tomato and American cheese. I took a bite to see which I liked better and surprisingly, the burgers tasted the same!! She did have tomato but it had zero flavor. The American cheese tasted like my cheddar. Odd or maybe they just put the same cheese on each one. I assume mine was not cheddar because there was no distinctive flavor. For a company based off their love of Wisconsin cheese, I was not impressed with the cheese on the burgers. Oddly enough, what stood out to me most about the whole meal was the cheddar cheese sauce for $1.79. This was excellent and I would actually stop at Culver's just for this. I completely forgot to take pics but I tried the chicken tenders, fries, and a shake from here. My first visit was a bit rough since the line was all the way wrapped around the parking lot then I had to leave the drive thru to park on the side and wait for my food. I am not sure if it is always that busy or just this time, but I would try it again to explore more of their menu. Maybe placing an online order ahead of time. The Buffalo tenders were pretty okay but I enjoyed the Oreo shake and French fries the most which are my go to at places like these. I love that they're crinkled. This was overall a pretty decent and quick option if you're in the area and the staff is attentive and welcoming. The wait was seamless and the sitting area was well maintained with plenty of tables- outdoor seating as well. However, after attempting to add the receipt for reward points, we noticed the printed code at the bottom was double typed over on 2 of the numbers, which the entry attempts were all declined. It was a big let down because our order was so large since we wanted to try a variety of items, yet unable to truly be "rewarded". We've wondered if other patrons have had similar issues with their receipt not properly providing your rewards code. For a "new" restaurant, it seemed very odd that it's gone unnoticed or unaddressed after months of being open.... Culver's is in the mix-use facility just south of Sterling Road on the west side of University (along with the new First Watch). There is ample parking and the eatery is accessible. You order at the register, get a number, and the food is brought to your table. We tried the rueben, pot roast, and walleye fish sandwiches. We also got an order of onion rings and a scoop of vanilla custard. The breading on the onion rings was light and crispy, but I found myself looking for the onion. All the sandwiches came wrapped in delicious, moist bread. But for the price, we expected a tad more filling. The custard was delish. But at $4 a cup, we could go to our favorite place in Hollywood and get a cone with twice as much custard for the same price. We did not try the hamburgers, their specialty. So we may go back to do just that. Our cashier had a very deadpan look on her face and never smiled (Dominique?). But she gave us a 5% senior citizen discount without asking if we were eligible. (And we were.) So I liked that. There was an elderly lady clearing tables in the dining room, and she was very sweet and took the time to wish everyone a good day as they left. I tried Culver's for the first time and can say I likely won't be back. I heard that people recommended it so was excited to give it a try but the whole experience put a sour taste in my mouth. When we got there it was packed, really hard to navigate where I should be going but thankfully I decided to get a table first and then order. I showed my kids the menu before arriving so they knew what they wanted. I was too hungry to try experimenting with things so I decided on the butter burger. I got the value meal and added cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce tomato, mayo, ketchup. I ordered a single but despite me saying my order twice the young man taking my order still put in double. I can't eat that much so I ended up paying extra for nothing. I got a butter burger for my son with bacon and they forgot the bacon. I had to go back up and they gave me the 2 slices in the side. After double checking my receipt, I wouldn't have lied about that, but policy I guess. Also, the customer service made me feel uncomfortable. Not friendly at all and I felt like one of the young ladies at the registers was staring daggers at me. I was nothing but nice even when I went back up to ask about the bacon. I didn't mention anything about my burger being wrong and still felt weird energy. It didn't make me feel good. As for the food, it was just ok. Not much flavor on the burger. Atlantic cod dinner is a must try. Kids meals are cheap and come with a free scoop token, so you can get a little ice cream and meal for seven dollars, if you save 10 scoopie tokens you can also get a free kids meal or souvenir from inside. My 3 stars rating is for all of my visits with this most recent visit making my 5 stars experience a 3. As many times as I've been here, this is the first time I went inside. It was quite a few cars in the drive-thru line waiting and I didn't want to get stuck behind anyone as I was only getting the flavor of the day. I walked in and the manager was dealing with ADT and there was a young boy behind the counter taking such meticulous effort in tying his apron just right. I stood there for about 2 minutes with no one greeting me at all. It wasn't until the guy that was taking the drive thru orders outside, came back in, acknowledged me and took my order. To be fair,maybe the young boy wasn't taking orders the day. Maybe his job was to only bag orders as they were being put out. However 1 I'm sure everyone is crossed trained. 2. If nothing is there for you bag and you're behind the counter, a simple "someone will be right with you" was too much say? And 3, this is the best one, no one takes 2 minutes to tie their apron with gloves on and then using those same gloves to bag food. Not to mention the whole time he tried to avoid eye contact. It allowed me to really taste the quality of the burger and 24 hours later I'm already eager to return. I was excited they serve legit sweet tea!! It measured up to this southern girl's standards! The chocolate custard sweet treat was delicious as well. I'll be back within the week. :-) Drive thru staff was very nice. My food was ready quickly. I know a lot of times people have to pull around the corner and wait in their food but that's because all food is made to order. Never been to Culver's before. Heard lots of people talking about this place. Everyone said the frozen custard is BOMB!!! We decided to try it out with the family. I thought it was a sit down restaurant style spot but it's more like, order your food, sit down and they will bring the food to your table with your table number. I don't love the set up when you enter. There was a long line up to the door and it was blocking the pathway to the bathroom and the photo opp area. Such a weird set up. Not efficient at all. The photo opp was so cute but there is hardly any room to take the photo when there's a line because it gets claustrophobic in that area. I got the Butterburger with one patty and onion rings. I also upgraded my meal with a pumpkin shake and it was totally worth it. My son got the Butterburger with double patties and fries. We got our table number and went outside to wait for our order. Burger was just ok. The meat patty is smashed but it was dry. The bun is tasty but with one patty, the bun to meat ratio was not good. I will have to try again with two patties to see if it makes a difference and maybe I'll get a juicy burger next time. My husband liked his burger so maybe it was just me. The onion rings, fries and milkshake was delish! Honestly, I'll take a Steak 'N Shake burger and shoestring fries any day if I want a burger. West Coast for life! We flew in to Florida for a cruise tomorrow and got in late. Only thing open was Culver's. Disgusting burger that tastes like it's from a gas station. Cheese isn't even melted and patties look reheated multiple times. And to top it off, we ordered 5 shakes and they all came without labels so we had no idea whose they were. My on the go drive through salad run was well worth it! I was in need of lunch on the run and I decided to try this relatively newly opened restaurant. The menu selections were plentiful to include burgers, chicken sandwiches, cod sandwiches, shrimp platters, salads along with a variety of custards. This is a late review from their Grand Opening Day: My husband has been anxiously awaiting Culver's to open. When he heard that our niece had gone earlier in the day on their Opening Day, he wanted to go as well. We got there around 6:00 pm and the drive through line was crazy! We took a chance and went inside. There was a line inside but it wasn't any different than their Margate location. I'm surprised at how smoothly everything went. You wouldn't even know that it was their first day. Of course we got their butter burger and a concrete mixer. I love how the hamburger bun was so soft but the edge was nice and crispy. This is an update to our first visit: Service was a little slow today. They had a lot of employees behind the counter but only one on the register taking orders. I have been trying to figure out how to write this review, as they have only been open 2 weeks and I feel that based on that, they are doing a pretty good job....so I will share the positive first... - Although the line was long to place our order & the drive-through line looked insane - the people working there were friendly and didn't behave or look miserable. Now the negative: - The parking lot is a hot mess. The drive through wraps around where cars are parked, making it difficult to get in and out of the spots there. The handicap spots are not easily accessible for entry or exit. - the ketchup & soda area needs someone checking on it often. The 2 ketchup dispensers were empty & the sweet tea was also empty. The area was a bit messy, thanks to customers, but still needs more tending to. - garbage cans were FULL. All in all, we didn't hate it. We didn't love it. Currently open! It's probably best to go inside and order than the drive through at this time because it is popping! My first thoughts were this is a steak and shake that is White Castle themed. I tried to order things that they are known for so I went with the butter burger deluxe double. The pattys were small but charred good. They just forgot some of my toppings and lacked sauce. To be honest, nothing too extraordinary just felt like I was eating a plain burger. I also subbed my crinkle fries for their well known cheese curds. They remind me of mozzarella sticks but ball form. A good pairing would be some marinara sauce.. The custard takes it home though. Located in University Drive in the Shoppes of Monterra, this Culver's has dine in and drive thru. We took advantage of the drive through on this visit. I will say this was a bit of a different drive thru experience. First off, they only take credit cards in the drive thru (I had brought cash). Ordering was fine. Then I pulled up to the window to pay and had to wait for what seemed like quite a while to pay. There was someone there filling drinks and what not, but I don't think they were the drive thru person so no one opened the window and greeted us for a bit. Once we paid, we were given a numbered sticker to place on our side view mirror but it wasn't exactly made clear. After 3 different spot attempts, I was correctly guided to the right part of the side view mirror. I waited for direction on where to go wait as this was my first time and eventually had to ask after kind of staring at the employee for a little. I was told to pull up and around the corner by the blue lid garbage can. We then waited for another amount of time that seemed a bit longer than expected (my companion had done the drive thru before and confirmed it was a quicker and smoother process last time). However the lady who finally came out with our order was very thorough and sweet. She read back our order and even described what everything had on it (better than the menu board did). She also told us to have a nice day and drive safe as it was beginning to drizzle. Now for the food. The fries were good, some were warm and some were room temp right out of the drive thru. The sandwiches are definitely elevated from traditional drive thru food and had good flavors. The spicy chicken sandwich needed some type of sauce or mayo as it was a bit dry otherwise (the sandwich as a whole, not the chicken patty). The pub burger is seasonal and I would consider getting again. Apparently all the burgers on the menu are butter burgers as it has to do with the bun being buttered and not the actual burger. I've been a fan of Culvers for a LONG time so I was ecstatic to see one so close to my house! How I used to dream of butter burger, cheese curds and concretes! Well, dreams do come true!! We dropped in last weekend after the restaurant had opened a few days prior. The line was enormous but they did a good job in handling it quick and making sure it was orderly. I stepped up after a few minutes and placed my glorious order. Butter burger deluxe with bacon, 2 more butter burgers, chicken tenders, crinkle cut fries, cheese curds (2 orders), pretzel bites and sodas including that creamy delicious Culvers root beer! They give you a number and you go sit down and you wait for the goodness to arrive and when it does, it's like the music of the heavens is playing. My burger was perfect! Bread soft and warm, burger was thin and flavorful. Cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo... what else can you ask for? Fries were crispy and not. Curds were salty, crunchy and delicious. Pretzel bites were warm, soft and made even better with the cheese sauce!! Now on to the real show. The concretes! I didn't want mine to melt or waste it by taking bites during my meal so i waited until we were done and i went back up and ordered my perfect concrete. Vanilla mixed with butterfinger and Reese's cups. Yeah, I'm a peanut butter fan. This concrete BLEW ME AWAY! Every bite filled with those perfect flavors i was looking for. Food was alright, nothing special. Custards were goods, the only highlight. I wouldn't come here again tbh. It's not worth the time, money, nor calories. Unless you are coming for the custard, in that case, do come. It's pretty good. It was a good try-one-time type thing. Workers were very nonchalant but they tired so I get it. read more
