This time, however, the glass appeared significantly smaller--closer to 6 oz. We assumed it might have been an honest mistake and politely asked for it to be checked. We were surprised when we were told that the glass contained almost 10 oz, as it looked noticeably smaller than what we have received on previous visits. 've been here several times because I live in the apartment complex next door and really want to support the business. The service has always been friendly, and the atmosphere is one of the best things about this place. That said, The Garage is supposed to be known for its burgers, but something seems to be missing at this location. The burgers have consistently been dry and lacking seasoning, and overall the food tends to be bland. I've also tried the fish and chips, and they were underwhelming with very little flavor in the batter. It's disappointing because the restaurant has a great vibe and a solid staff. Ford vehicle themed burger and beer place. Tons of beers to choose from. Onion rings were good but the dipping sauces were on the weak side. They needed more flavor to them. We also tried their brisket burger and their estate burger. The brisket burger comes with a harp Cheddar, Bourbon BBQ Sauce, Hickory Smoked Brisket, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Red Onion, and Crispy Onion Straws on a Brioche Bun. Tasty but they should maybe look into a more robust bread. The estate burger comes with Smoked Gouda Cheese, Sweet Red Onion Marmalade, Arugula, Tomato, Crispy Onion Straws, and White Truffle Bacon Aioli on a Brioche Bun. I had mine without tomato which made it less watery. It was very good too. Sweet burger and the crispy onion straws added an additional crunch. Loved the fact that the hostess told us that a 20% tip is already included and it's not added secretly. You MUST check out the bathroom. The men's bathroom was very unique and fun. read more

Highly recommend the ribs here! The meat is fall off the bone tender and the house sauce is delicious!!! Fiancé loved his burger and we both really liked the Firestone Shrimp! First visit, we waited at least 15 min for the bartender to acknowledge us. Second time at the bar was a little better, but we seem to have the best service when seated at a table. Booked a 60 person Teacher Appreciation Week social at Ford's Garage and could not have been happier with the experience. Javier, the manager, was exceptional from start to finish. Since I had only worked with their corporate office via email beforehand, I honestly wasn't sure what to expect walking in with a group this large, especially a hungry and thirsty group of teachers on a Friday afternoon at the end of the school year but they handled us SO well. The food online looked like typical bar food, but the FLAVORS were exceptional. I was genuinely amazed. I wish I had gotten more pictures, but I was so busy trying to mingle and host. My personal favorite was the Firecracker Shrimp. The ribs and wings were awesome, the fries were great, and even the chicken tenders had really good seasoning. I'm allergic to dairy, but everyone around me was raving about the mac & cheese too. The pretzels were also so yummy. The bartenders and staff were fantastic, especially Alexia and Chloe. It was an especially hot day, so a lot of our faculty members were ordering frozen drinks, which I know can be time consuming for bartenders, but we honestly never waited long. I had the hibiscus lemonade and loved it, and my friend's Old Fashioned was especially good too. The space itself is spacious, inviting, and worked perfectly for a large group event. This is our second time coming here. The 1st was when they first opened around 2 years ago. We didn't have much luck on either occasion. The food was ok. But, once again, we had ordered items that were out and had to re-order again. Both times the entrees arrived at drastically different times. I'm guessing it's due to an original ordered item being out. The presentation for the onion rings was creative and worth the price. The servers on both occasions were not very knowledgeable of items on the menu. 20% gratuity is added to the check automatically. If it wasn't written in small print, we wouldn't have known. Came in with my husband for their awesome Happy Hour! We had an order of their loaded tater tots which were the perfect size for snacking and were super good! Oh Fords Garage where have you been?! This restaurant was lively, full of people, very thoughtfully decorated and overall a great experience. It was full inside when we got there but thankfully they had plenty of outdoor seating so we got to sit right away. Our server was friendly and I ordered the Model A burger that made this burger lover very happy! The bacon, fried egg, onions, and cheese on that very nice bun bridged the gap between food that tastes awesome and looks amazing. Capped off the night with a key lime pie which was surprisingly good. Definitely one of the better key lime pies I've had at any restaurant. Only downside to this place is upon entry, I was told of a mandatory 20% fee( also known as a mandatory tip). I am personally against this as a business model (especially with a small party) because I believe tips are to be earned not forced. It's to be worked for not default. My server was friendly but also not around as much. Made me feel like the tip was covered so why work hard to earn it? It also made me less likely to give more of a tip since I was forced to an initial %. Not a huge deal but just wasn't a good first impression. Not a fan of forced tip business models. My family and I went here for lunch on a Sunday. Seated within minutes. The ambiance was nice, especially for a laid back Sunday afternoon out with the family. Service was a bit slow that day. Server had passed us several times and took awhile before she checked in with us. I tried a honey Chipotle chicken bowl and it was really good! It could have used a little more chicken and rice, but tje flavors were good. I also tried a colada drink, but it didn't have the normal coconutty flavor, kinda had an orange and lime flavor. Visited Ford's Garage on a Friday around 2 PM with two girlfriends, right as happy hour started. There is parking available, but be prepared to walk a bit. First off, I loved the decor. The restaurant really looks like a garage. From the mechanic style uniforms the staff wears to the napkin wrapped around the utensils that looks like a mechanic rag. That honestly threw me off for a second because it looked old and dirty , but then I realized it was intentional and part of the theme. The place was very busy, which made sense since it looked like a lot of people were there for work Christmas parties. One thing to note about happy hour: food and drink specials are only available at the actual bar. In other seating areas, it's drinks only. Online it said "bar area," which was a little misleading because the section I was seated in looked like part of the bar area and was very close to it. The waitress clarified it had to be directly at the bar. As for the food and drinks, I started with a lemon drop, which I'd never had before, and it was so good I ordered a second one. Definitely a highlight. We shared the loaded chicken nachos, which came in a large portion. They were okay, but they had BBQ sauce on them, which I didn't love (my fault for not reading the ingredients). Also, having to pay extra for sour cream on nachos was surprising. What kind of nachos don't automatically come with sour cream? I ordered the bourbon wings and was happy that all flats were allowed. The wings were good, and the fries were solid as well. I totally forgot to take pictures of the wings, unfortunately. Overall, it was an okay experience. I liked this place! I go to plantation often and had lunch with my bf here. Service was good and I enjoyed the food! I got a burger that had fresh jalapeños, guacamole and pico de gallo in it and it tasted really good. Also got this guava non alcoholic drink that I liked too, it was refreshing. I'd come back here it's a good spot to hang out and talk. My only complaint is that they don't have Tabasco and only cholula which was a bummer considering this is like a traditional American restaurant I would like to think they would have something like Tabasco. However, the restaurant charges a service charges a flat 20% and gives you an option to add more tip. I feel this does not incentivize the waiter staff to go over and beyond. Service was just ok. The patron margarita was very sour. They forgot agave and I could not finish it. The vodka ginger ale was also not made well. We asked for medium cooked burgers and the burgers were well done. Ford's Garage is a burger and craft beer restaurant that opened its first location in Fort Meyers in 2012 near the Edison and Ford Winter Estates. When they opened they hadn't secured the rights to use the Ford name. When contacted by Ford Motor Company they expected a cease and desist letter and instead were surprised to learn the car company liked their concept and wanted to work with them. A deal was struck in 2014 that allowed the restaurant to use the iconic logo, archival images, and even have actual Model T's. They have now expanded to more than 20 restaurants in four states including this one in Plantation Walk that opened in 2023. . Ford's Garage is known for their cocktails and burgers. I love all the attention to detail like the gas pump door handles, tire sinks and gas pump handle faucets in the restroom, a craftsman tool cart used as a buffet, oil rag napkins with hose clamp napkin rings, old photos on the wall, Model T horn blaring, and actual car suspended over the bar. If you are a gearhead or Ford history fan like me you will love their decor. The gastropub style menu features wings, hot pretzels, nachos, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and comfort food plates. Dessert is lava cake, key lime pie, turtle brownie, caramel apple cookie skillet, and milkshakes. They also offer a weekend brunch. We arrived in time to enjoy the weekday lunch menu which includes the signature Chicken Henry and a soup and salad which I enjoyed with the French onion soup. Service was prompt and attentive. I've been to a Ford's Garage before while working in St. Petersburg but I only had drinks and an appetizer. I was invited to a Networking Event at this Plantation location. The restaurant is very clean and well laid out. Now with a name like Ford's Garage you make have guessed the it has an Automotive Theme. There are Cars, Tires and all manner of Garage items. And the Restrooms are not to be missed. Hint: there're a couple of Kegs inside. It was a great event but the food was even better. There was a preselected menu and I was a little indecisive about my selection but I managed to narrow it down to two. After a moment I asked one of the wonderful servers for his professional opinion to choose between the Chop Chicken Salad and the All American Burger. He replied " the salad is very good but the burgers are great!". So, I got the burger with no Garden, Medium Rare with Cheese and a side of Broccoli. The All American came in a decent amount of time and it was Perfectly Cooked and the Broccoli was cooked to perfection as well. I also ordered a Half and Half Tea which was great, and it didn't taste like a handful of Pixie Sticks dissolved in water. As stated before the event was great and the staff were wonderful. Drinks at bar review: This restaurant is located in the Plantation Walk with plenty of parking. They are known for their burgers and beer. The decor is pretty cool, they made it into a 1920s service station. We got drinks at the bar. The drinks were decent and the service was too. They have this model where there are no tips, but there is a fee added onto the bill. Next time I'll have to dine in and try their food out and come back with an update. read more
