I stopped in for lunch during the work week and enjoyed my meal, but was surprised with the cost. I ordered the #1 combo, which included a Char-Burger (added cheese) and plenty of extras that they offered & Frings (mixed fries & onion rings) w/ a fountain drink. The onion rings were great, but I would not recommend the fries. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was enjoyed, but I was surprised that American cheese was their only type offered. Overall a good meal at a classic local establishment--but I likely won't be back for some time, given the pricing @ $20 for the combo w/ cheese.

Food tasted good, but unfortunately we got sick afterward and are certain it was food poisoning. Sharing this so others are aware and in hopes the restaurant double-checks their food safety practices.

I haven't been to char hut in a while but wanted to have a burger so stopped through the drive thru. Everything was great! We had a char burger which you tell them your temperature for the meat and they cook it to order. We also had the frings which is a great way to have both fries and onion rings. The onion rings are my favorite so sweet and crispy!

This is hands down my favorite burger spot in South Florida! I've been coming to Char-Hut for over 20 years, and they never let me down. My only complaint is the higher prices...$27 for a burger combo feels a bit much.

Char Hut is a staple of south Florida if you want a super solid, char grilled, quality burger and quick. You walk in and with a quick scan of the menu, you walk up to the register and order. The gentlemen there today (Rui) was super polite and helpful with questions. Even made a suggestion that saved me some money! :) thanks Rui! Grab a booth or a table in the restaurant that has somewhat of an old school vibe and wait for them to call your number. We ordered 3 burgers, chicken tenders, mac n cheese, black beans and rice, fries, sweet potato fries and FRINGS (fries and onion rings in the same basket) They slap the burgers right on the grill in front of you and they cook the burgers fresh to order. (Got mine medium while my wife wanted it well) they time them out perfectly and they are sent down the line if you want toppings. I got lettuce, onion, pickles ketchup and mustard. All the toppings were fresh and crunchy! These burgers never miss on char flavor and with your choice of roll, it's always delicious! The tenders of which i thought were going to be standard frozen tenders, came out feeling fresh. Nice, clean, white meat with a thin breading. Nice and crunchy while staying moist. My youngest cleared the mac and cheese in about 3 mins. It was creamy, cheesy and delicious. Looked great! Rice and beans, shockingly flavorful. No disrespect to Char Hut, but with all the Latin restaurants in south Florida, i don't expect a burger joint to have seasoned rice and beans, but char huts were great! Lastly, the fries/onion rings . Perfectly cooked, crunchy, fresh and great portions. Onion rings/straws are absolutely amazing. Thin, crunchy, plenty of onion, THE BEST! Chat Hut just doesn't miss. We have been a bunch before and will be a bunch more!

This was my first time trying a Char-Hut. The inside is very old school diner/how McDonald's used to feel. You can tell the people who work there have been there a while. They were all kind. Okay so food. I got the Big Bite burger with cheese and bacon. They ask what temperature you want the burger and it was SO good. Like awesome. This review is only 4 stars because it's a bit pricey for the atmosphere but seriously good burgers. Also yummy onion rings! They were better than the fries.

Char-Hut is a small chain of fast service restaurants owned by the Cammisa family who founded Char Hut in 1976. The family started the business over 40 years ago when they opened their first restaurant in Miami after moving to Florida from Buffalo. The family closed the Miami restaurant in favor of moving to southwest Broward. They specialize in hamburgers and chicken. Unlike other fast food places you can tell them how well you want your burger meat cooked and you can customize it with different toppings. The food is cooked to order. This place is an institution and you can't hang around this long in the South Florida restaurant scene unless you offer quality food. I have eaten at Char-Hut many times through the years and if you go inside you come out smelling like the grill. It is a breeze to order from the drive though and that is what I usually do. This was my first time visiting the Davie location which opened way back in 2003. You can find the restaurant along the side of State Rd. 84. I ordered the Char-Burger with cheese, which is the original 1/3 lb steak burger and I added a side of fries and a soda. The service was super friendly here and the food was great which I always expect from Char-Hut. It definitely satisfied my cheeseburger craving. I love that this is the kind of place where you don't have to beg for ketchup. They cheerfully offer it without you even having to ask. Count me among the Char-Hut fans.

The food was horrible. It was stale. The buns were dry. I will never go back. The whole place is run down. Service was slow. The only thing nice about this place was the outdoor patio with old rusty chairs.

I passed this restaurant at least 100 times and finally decided to stop and try. This place is right on SR84. Walking in restaurant is like a time capsule. Original Decore tables /chairs. I ordered a regular cheese burger with fries. I was surprised the burger was cooked right in front of me. Followed by toppings setup like subway. This burger was very fresh along with toppings. What really makes this burger unique is the Kaiser roll. On the downside the fries was cold and was no where close to be paired with the awesomeness of this burger. Customer Service was very bland. This is more of a drive thru take away type of place. Definitely will be back to try their hot dogs and milkshakes. No

One of the few locations left & slightly off the beaten path of Flamingo road. Service is always great & friendly, food is always made to order & all of the items are delicious. Price are very reasonable for the quality. Today was grilled Italian sausage & grilled tuna steak. Location is clean & ambiance is pleasant.
