Wow... this was a completely unexpected gem. Disclaimer: I'm a Canadian living in the Pacific Northwest, and I've almost never found authentic Quebec-style poutine in the U.S. (with one exception). Finding this in Florida honestly felt like that moment in Ratatouille when the critic takes a bite and is transported back to childhood. That's exactly what this felt like. Food: 4.5/5 Hot Chicken Sandwich with Poutine (4.5/5) Shredded chicken breast between slices of bread, absolutely drenched in gravy, with peas on top and a generous side of poutine. Magnifique. I haven't had a hot chicken sandwich like this since growing up in Canada, and wow... this brought me straight back. Thick-cut fries were spot on, and the cheese curds were exactly how poutine should be. Only reason it's not a full 5: the chicken leaned a bit dry, and part of me remembers this dish more with dark meat than white. Popcorn Chicken Poutine (4/5) Crunchy, tender, and satisfying. Same excellent poutine base, which really carries the dish. Service: 4/5 Friendly and helpful. They even gave me a heads-up that the sandwich would be drenched in gravy... which, honestly, is exactly what I was hoping for. Ambiance: Casual and comfortable. Works well for small groups or bigger hangouts. Final Thought: If you're craving real-deal poutine or a nostalgic taste of Canada, this place delivers in a way I didn't expect to find this far south. read more

I can't bring myself to give a bad review because I've been coming to this place and as earlier location on US one in Dania since 1988. The ice cream is not even all that great but they have the best french fries in Broward County French Canadians come from miles around for the poutine, and the toasty hotdog are a guilty pleasure. However, today and last week, I was very disappointed when I came here because there's an item on the menu, spaghetti with meat sauce that I've been ordering as a takeout for ages twice in the world. It hasn't been available. The cashier confessed they haven't had it in a while. When I questioned him since the ingredients are not exactly blocked up in the straits of Hormuz, he said they didn't have the pasta noodles. There is one of the True bargains for food with super inexpensive pricing. The manager needs to send somebody's ass to the grocery store or even GFS and buy some goddamn spaghetti or they're gonna lose a customer of nearly 40 years. read more

Finally, a real taste of Quebec in Florida! The poutine here is 100% authentic--they use real 'fromage en crotte' (squeaky cheese curds) and the brown gravy is exactly how it should be. Close your eyes and you'll feel like you're back in a Quebec snack bar. Best poutine in the area, hands down! read more

We have only been to Dairy Belle for ice cream. The service is always friendly and the restaurant is super clean. We got two hard ice creams and a scoop of soft serve ice cream. They were just as ice cream should be : cold and delicious! Each worker was so kind and talkative, you don't find that much in South Florida. I highly recommend this ice cream shop. And it's super cute with its lights and patio seating. We did not try the food this time around but will be back for food + ice cream next time! read more

We love this place but their hours say they are open until 11 PM. We go at 10:44 PM and they say they only serve ice cream. They will not serve anything from the food area. We were recommended by our Uber driver to go here and get some authentic poutine. Unfortunately, the poutine missed the mark for me, but everything else was great. Looking for a hot dog place near Dania beach I came upon this magical place near by. I love it has indoor , outdoor seating. Upon entering they have a full ice cream section in addition offering hot dogs , hamburgers & more. The place reminds me of all the fun foods of yesterday a good shake & burger. We ordered the chili dog, toasted regular dog & the chicago dog... yummy! It has tomatos & onions, side pickle, all those flavors bursting together, surprisingly good! To top it off we ordered a black & white shake and I had the frozen coffee frappe, with a hint of chocolate syrup suggested by one of the employees, Wow soooo delish! By the way staff super friendly :). This is my new favorite Sunday grab a snack or lunch after a day at the beach. read more

Loved the "French fries and Gravy"! This place was awesome the gravy was super tasty and yummy. If your not familiar with Poutine it's a Canadian snack that you will want to adopt. They pour delicious brown gravy (poutine) over a bed of Fries and add tasty pieces of cheese! They have a bunch of Canadian favorites that are all drenched in gravy. I will be back The ice cream is home made and great after a hearty poutine meal. The only thing I did not care for was the Chicago dog, not real Vienna beef and I am not a fan of the sweet relish. Been a fan of Dairy Belle since their old place. Would brave the stifling heat for their ice cream and poutine. Waited and waited for the new place to open. I've been several times and enjoy the new space. Their poutine is amazing, having eaten this in Canada. A few other local places offer it here in south Florida but NO ONE compares to Dairy Belle. Their portions are super generous and often I will split a large along with their turkey club sandwich. Save room for dessert with an ice cream scoop or the soft custard. read more

We didn't feel like spending an hour in line at Jaxson's so at the last minute we decided to go here. Its definitely not as crowded, they don't make there own ice cream, and they don't have the same variety. But, they do have Nestlé icecream. They did have a pretty decent selection, except I wish they would have had butter scotch bomb. I did have peanut butter and vanilla in a waffle cone and I enjoyed every bit of it. Dint get me wrong, I love jaxson's, it was late and I didn't feel like spending an hour in line. So this was a good alternative and not nearly as expensive as going to Jaxon's. read more

We're locals and we love this place but Friday evening was disappointing. Place was not overly busy. Two hot dogs and two cheeseburgers took nearly 30 minutes? At the 20 minute mark I went to check on food and was only told they were making ours next. No explanation or apology. Another 10 minutes went up to get our food. Server verified our number/buzzer and said nothing else... Burgers were doused in relish and missing tomatoes. We ate them because we were starving at that point. read more

Visited after a Sunday trip to the beach. My partner loves soft serve and sometimes it's hard to find that. Dairy Belle had soft serve, hard ice cream, milkshakes and more! Their new location is very nice! They have an expanded menu and have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is part of their building and covered so you don't have to worry if the weather is bad. If you check in, you can get a free small ice cream cone which we got a vanilla cone with chocolate sprinkles. I got the Tornado (which is like a Blizzard) with vanilla ice cream and peanut butter cups. The ice cream was soooo creamy and I couldn't believe how much peanut butter cups were in there! Every single spoonful had a bunch of peanut butter cups! I realized almost halfway into it that I forgot to take a picture! read more

Visited their new location on Friday night around 930PM. I wanted to grab a late night dinner. They were open until 10PM and the kitchen closes 15 minutes before. I was able to order a chicken sandwich, fries and an oreo milkshake. The chicken sandwich was average and the fries had no taste to them at all. I wouldn't suggest coming here for actual food as in dinner but definitely a must go to spot for ice cream. My oreo milkshake was fabulous as always. The new location has lots of parking and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's a totally different vibe and I really liked it! read more

Since this restaurant moved to the strip center and is no longer in the old stand alone building, they really should start all their reviews over again. This is like being in a new restaurant, except for a similar menu. Everything is spanking new. They have inside seating and a partially open air porch area. You order food at one counter and ice cream at another. We only came for dessert -- and a cup of soft serve mixed chocolate and vanilla. You can only get cups now, because they don't want people wandering around without their masks off, as they might do if munching on a cone. That was fine with me -- I prefer a cup. The ice cream was great -- as creamy as ever, but I really miss the old building. I miss the camaraderie of sitting at big tables with all the French speaking people. I miss someone nearby eating poutine or a strange to me dish that I never would have tried had I not seen it. I miss the casualness of the old place. The restaurant reminiscent of childhood places growing up in New England. The rundown wooden building; the handwritten signs; the mix of cultures and people; the tourists and the regulars; the hub bub. I feel like something got lost in the translation of the move. It's probably still good food. But it's no longer unique and funky casual. It's no longer a treasured memorable Florida hangout... just another restaurant. read more

Checking out this place for the first time. Dairy Belle is a casual Canadian fast food and ice cream shop offering a variety of items such as: * Poudines (literally had to Google what that was) * Hot dogs & condiments * Burgers/hamburger steak * Club sandwiches * French fries * Guedilles * Ice cream (hard/soft in a cup/cone) * Sundaes/banana split/float/parfaits * Milkshakes/tornado/smoothies * Beer & wine/cold beverages The restaurant was pretty busy. It's large enough to accommodate groups. Social distance is enforced and masks are required to be worn by both staff and customers. Hand sanitizer is provided. The ordering of food and/or ice cream are separated. After overlooking the ice cream menu, I greeted a pleasant female employee and ordered two scoops of rum raisin ice cream in a cup. I stepped outside to enjoy my frosty treat which was tasty, creamy, and full of rum flavor. Would definitely stop by again. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Went here for ice cream this weekend and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it is inside. Three separate areas to eat, two inside, and one open to the outdoors. Furniture and decor are really fresh and modern. Staff here was friendly. We picked the hard Cappacino ice cream and a large chocolate dipped vanilla. Their ice cream prices are a bit pricey...over $4 for a single scoop, and over $6 for a large dipped cone...but the flavors were outstanding. Note: Be aware this is a business that verbally asks for tips when paying for your order at the cash register. read more

Dairy Belle - This place is so good ! Came here on a whim. Highly recommended! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Dania Beach, Florida

Je suis Canadienne. This is the worst thing that anyone could pass off as poutine. They don't use cheese curds. They use chopped up mozzarella. The grave is flavorless it was so disappointing I can't even begin to tell you. Even with terrible cheese the ratio of cheese to fries was way overwhelming on the cheese side compared to normal traditional poutine. The gravy was flavorless. The steamé was a cheap hot dog that you could do better yourself at home and the Chicago dog wasn't even close to the real thing. No one did a quality check to see how we were doing and how the food was. You can get better poutine in Vancouver. Or probably anywhere else in Canada. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money or your time. This is NOT poutine. read more

An unexpected find. I was vacationing in the Dania/ Hollywood area looking for a late dessert. I know all about Jaxson's, but didn't want to deal with the long line and high prices. I had a tornado with M&M's, and I'm glad I got the smaller size, since it was plenty big enough. The ice cream was thick and toppings were plenty.
