I am totally puzzled by the pizza I ordered, an 8 1/2 inch tomato sauce pizza with mozzarella, fennel sausage, chicken, mushrooms and spinach. It was the worst pizza I've ever had, and I've eaten lots of pizza over the years. The problem was there was something wrong with the crust. It seemed soggy, underdone, certainly not crispy. Did they not cook it long enough in their 900 degree oven? We drove 30 minutes to go to this place because the reviews are good and they seemed to be doing a good business. I was very disappointed, and don't understand what went wrong. read more

I really enjoyed the pizza. One pizza fed two people pretty well. Did not love the cannoli', would not pay $10 for them again. I felt like our server was rushing us a bit. Server would ask if we wanted straws then forget them. Would eat the pizza again. read more

Spinach salad with goat cheese and figs was excellent. We spilt a margherita. They use quality ingredients but need to make pizza crust a bit thinner to be crispier. The edges were too thick and soft and burnt. beer selection ok and good customer service. Update about 8 months after first visit: Had same large spinach salad and added chicken. Not worth it al all. Small amount of spinach with literally 2-3 half walnuts and maybe a tablespoon of goat cheese for $15.50. Ridiculous. My husband's Bianca prosciutto pizza had an overpowering taste of garlic. I do not like their beer selection. Ended up with a light Mexican beer that had no taste. Service was ok. read more

This place was so good! The caprese appetizer was probably the best Ive ever had and the pizza was great as well! read more

One of our favorite places for great casual food/pizza, after a long day of skiing!!!

Have never eaten at this restaurant but wanted to advise that it is on my 'to-do' list should I ever get back to Durango. What catches my attention while surfing restaurants on yelp, is noticing subtle little things which show the owner is legit and eager to go the extra mile for a customer and the prospect of return business, like the light dusting of fennel seeds over a sausage pizza that I noticed Fired Up includes in their production and employee training sessions. I bet they even give you extra mushrooms or jalapenos when ordered .. instead of just adding an up-charge to your bill and throwing the diff in their tip jar after you leave. Yeah, little things like that are what count in my book. read more

Service was top notch. Very attentive and friendly. Pizza was excellent. I had the Bacon Green Chile Pizza and added sausage. Crust was excellent. Not too thick and not too thin. Just toasty enough. We sat upstairs on the rooftop which was pretty cool. Nice little bar and atmosphere. My son had pepperoni, sausage and bacon and it was very tasty as well. Wife had ham and pineapple, again tasty and enjoyable. Finished it off with an excellent tiramisu. Definitely worth it for pizza lovers. read more

They offer unique and delicious pizzas that I can't get anywhere else. I love the sweet and sty pizza. The roof top patio is a fun experience as well. read more

Fired Up is fancy pizza and I like it. It's not a place I could go to everyday- its a little pricey for pizza, but I did enjoy what I got. Our server was very friendly and talkative. The food was good, I especially liked the pizza crust. We also got the cannoli and tiramisu, both were fantastic. Definitely recommend this place for fancy pizza. read more

On my second visit, tried their "Wifey" pizza. It really hit the spot. The girlfriend liked it, too, and the name kept making its way into our conversation... ;p We'll be coming back, but I wish the rooftop patio had been open that day like it was the previous time. The staff said it was "too cold" even though it was shorts weather. Original review: tried the Lemon Rucola pizza but didn't like how the toppings were loosely piled on top rather than integrated with the cheese and dough. read more

Fun cocktails and delicious pizza. We went during COVID so wait was a little long due to fewer tables and the upstairs patio being closed but we just walked the shops on the street while we waited. We went after the lunch rush mid-week so staffing may have been a little short as food took a bit to come out but once it arrived I'd give it 5 stars. Super yummy and fresh. They have cauliflower or GF crust, too. read more

Pizza was yummy. Large salad portions. Service was ok, could be better. All in all, would recommend.

Let me first say, I am not easily impressed with restaurant food, and being Italian, certainly not by just any Italian food. We were so pleasantly surprised by our experience; we have not had a meal this good in a long time! Our waitress Alexis, took such good care of us and since we had never been there before and were unfamiliar with the menu, we went with some of her recommendations; she didn't steer us wrong. We were in the mood for a basic all-around pizza, so we ended up ordering the Vesuvius (btw, a very clever name for a spicy pizza) which is kind of like a pepperoni pizza on steroids with much better Italian meats than you can buy at your regular grocery store. I also ordered the Wild Arugula salad; just a light refreshing salad, which I loved, my husband not so much...apparently too healthy for him! Our favorite part of the meal, however, was the stuffed mushrooms; I can't remember the last time I had mushrooms as good. My only complaint, I wish there would have been more, or that my husband didn't like those either so I could have eaten his share! Also, their basil lemonade (which we added vodka to) was delicious. We live out of town, but will definitely be going back next time we are in Durango. read more

The best pizza in town. Refreshing Hard Basil Lemonade Amazing Roasted Stuffed Mushrooms and Spinach and Artichoke Dip with homemade crostini appetizers. The the rooftop seating is wonderful. And, the service is always great. We plan do do our part and support this local gem by ordering take out as our restaurants have to close to in person dining, again. Hoping they are able to make it through these restrictions, again read more

Last couple of dine in days left for a while so I decided to stop in. Great wood fired pizza, Caesar salad, and wine. Ended up buying another pizza to take home. Look forward to trying to keep them in business by ordering take out when I'm in town. read more

The pizza here is exceptionally good. They source some of their ingredients locally, the staff is friendly and efficient. Definitely a go to for me in Durango. read more

Great food and service! The staff was super friendly and super quick. Loved the vibe inside the restaurant too. Pizza was amazing!

If you order anything with arugula, know that your food will be mostly arugula, with a side of the other ingredients.

For our first night in Durango last night, we were so happy with our choice to come here. We ordered the Fired Up pizza and chicken pesto sandwich to split, as well as a kids pepperoni pizza. Oh my goodness was this food good. We ordered our sandwich without onions, which they forgot about...but that was easy to pick off. Service was great too. Absolutely would recommend. read more

Soggy crust, no flavor, took forever, wished we went somewhere else. The waiter was actually really nice and great.

We ate here 2 years ago and it was great. We are not big pizza fans, but this place has the best dough. The wood oven makes it so crispy and light. We sat on the rooftop and just walked people walk around below. Give it a try! read more

Great pizza & beer. The roasted stuffed mushrooms are fantastic. Service was also top notch. Great setting.

pizza was great, we got the green chile and bacon. a little pricey for the size of pizza but the atmosphere was nice.

Loved this pizza. True Italian style crust with a sleek toon of unique topping blend. We had the sweet and salty with figs that was quite tasty. I'd go back there for sure. read more

Fantastic pizza and drinks. I would say that they could add more beer taps though as there wasn't a whole lot to choose from. The prices are also a little high, but the atmosphere is nice and the quality of food and drink is good. read more

The food is great and pizza straight out of the wood oven is delicious. I have been to Primus a handful of times- some with just my wife and others as part of bigger parties. Unfortunately every time I've been there someone in the party receives a pizza that is made wrong. If they can figure out your order you're in for a treat. Unfortunately, Fired Up often doesn't. read more

Heard good things but service was disappointing. I ordered an appetizer and salad and my brother ordered a pizza. Pizza came out in reasonable time but salad and appetizer came out 20 minutes later and the app was cold - had obviously been sitting in the kitchen for some time. Step it up guys, service and warm food are critical. read more

We stopped in here while traveling after reading the fantastic reviews. This place did not disappoint. We beat the dinner crowd and were able to secure a table on their outdoor patio. It was a fantastic atmosphere. We got the Citrus Salad that had a dressing so good that I dipped my pizza crust in it to secure every last drop!! We tried the mozzarella/jalapeno dip appetizer & the bacon green chile pizza and again, these did not disappoint! So very delicious. We also enjoyed their selection of locally brewed beers. Our server was wonderful. All in all a great dining experience. My advice would be to get there early, by the time we left the place was packed!! read more

Great pizza and great deal for kids pizzas. Also loved sitting on the roof top patio. one star off because of the many draft beers listed, they really only carried 2-3. read more

My pick for lunch, and thanks to Yelp, it was a winner. When we arrived, my uncle had that look that says "I'm not so happy about this pick," but he sucked it up. The place was empty, but soon filled up. It's a very small space, and you order at the counter. There were two gals working...one up front, one making pizza. My first sexist thought was that this was bound to be a failure. Was I ever wrong. That girl making pies totally rocked. We ordered roasted garlic for an app. I won't bother to tell you how good it was because how can roasted garlic not be good. My husband and I split the Diablo (red sauce, fresh mozz, roasted jalapeno, pepperoni, and parmesan). One of the best pizzas I've had. Perfect crust with that little bit of char. Fresh ingredients. And roasting that jalapeno first...genius. It was a little too hot for me. I would select the least seedy pieces, take the rest off, and give it to my uncle who was in love with that pie. Anyone up for a UYE road trip? read more

We were staying at the Strader hotel right down the street from this restaurant we were exploring the town and we happen to notice the fire at pizzeria so we were walking and it was a very nice pizzeria people greeted us and let us do our table the table was a little bit wobbly but otherwise it was amazing the food there is amazing. And we all loved the food and my uncle my aunt and uncle got a sausage pizza my aunt got a Bianka pizza I got a A traditional Italian pizza my daughter got a chicken pesto pizza and we all loved it food my only problem was the late service was a little bit slow. read more

This a review by a vegetarian 3.5 stars rounding up Though the Piazziolos here are far more deserving of a lascivious review than those at Dom Demarco's of Vegas, I'll keep it clean. They got the crust right here and I appreciate that the neopolitan-esque styles eschews the dreaded soupy center. However the pie is missing something, maybe many things. It might be a little salt, or some acid, or some sweetness. Sometimes one note isn't louder than the others because of balance and sometimes the volume is a little low. Roundup because of counter-ordering, good looking pies on other customers tables, flavored oils available, and open kitchen to see the big-ass bowl with all the dough read more

First visit, good impression. Quick kind service, cold beer, good salads and pizza. Reasonable prices. If you're hungry for pizza in Durango you might want to go here. They were doing a lot of to go business while we were there- a good sign read more

Our first time eating here and it was an excellent choice. We ordered a Caesar salad to share and a Chicken Pesto pizza. The salad was crisp with home made croutons and parmesan. The pizza was very flavorful with plenty of chicken and fresh mozzarella. Instead of a red sauce the Pesto was a great choice. Every thing was served in a timely manner. Very happy with our choice. read more

Fired Up Pizzeria - Top pizza is Vesuvius and bottom is the Bianca prosciutto. My two favorites. Cooked to perfection. - Pizza Near Me - Durango, Colorado

Thin crust pizza with good ingredients! My mother and I shared a pepperoni pizza which had very large slices of pepperoni and delicious mozzarella chunks! My niece ordered the BLT pizza, which had Bacon, lettuce and tomato. She thoroughly enjoyed her pizza. I also ordered a small Citrus salad, which had a spring mix, pine nuts, goat cheese, tomatoes, with citrus vinaigrette. Absolutely simple and DELISH! Definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

I'm struggling with writing this review. All I want to say is, "This is far and away the best pizza I've had in Colorado." But I typically like to put more detail in my reviews. Talk about what I ate, what I drank, the atmosphere, the service, etc. etc. What I ate was far and away the best pizza I've had in Colorado. What I drank was a red ale from a local Durango brewery. It was a tasty beer, and it perfectly complimented far and away the best pizza I've had in Colorado. The service was super friendly and helpful, and our waiter answered all of my questions about what turned out to be far and away the best pizza I've had in Colorado. So if you're in the area, and you're looking for far and away the best pizza in Colorado, you might want to wander into Fired Up Pizzeria and see what you can find. read more

Hooray for soy-free vegan pizzas! They even offer Daiya! This was a surprise to find in Durango, and we were quite pleased. Customer service was excellent, as they were able to answer any uncertainties about ingredients with confidence. Very friendly. It is a smaller place inside. You can see everything going on in the kitchen. We opted for take-out. It is a flat bread/thin-crust style pie. Their toppings were numerous and offered red sauce as well as a pesto. It was a really good pizza. There were 4 of us, and I think we ate about 6 smalls (see side note). It is a lighter pizza, ingredients were fresh. The price was good. Yum. Side note: there was a mix-up on our order (3 large), but they were able to fix it & hooked us up pretty well (6+ smalls)!! read more
