Visiting from out of town. Friends brought me here at 8:30pm. Cool place, pizza slices looked decent but I needed a change, so the meatball sub it was. Took a bit, but hey, a Renoir takes time. The sandwich was EXCELLENT with a great balance of parmagian and mozzarella cheese with balsamic vinegar added. I loved dipping in the lightly charred crust into the marinara. IMHO (and I make homemade meatballs, homemade bread, sauce, etc) one of the best meatball subs I have ever had. I found out it was made by this cute, super nice girl named Marisa, who only works Thursdays. I asked her about the sandwich, she said it took her a bit of time because, ..... "I made it with love" WOW!!!! WHAT AN EMPLOYEE!!! I could tell someone took pride in that meatball sub....it was just phenomenal. We were exhausted so we didn't want to go anywhere. I saw the awesome Yelp reviews and that Door Dash would deliver to our hotel. We ordered a large, pepperoni pizza. All four of us absolutely loved it. The pizza was delivered hot and the melty cheese was fantastic. The pepperonis were small and there was a ton of them. The crust was perfect, golden crunch. I am very disappointed to say the least. The wings seemed like a very small portion, and were pretty low quality. It seemed like a very small amount when charging $16. The pizza was also at its worst. For the pizza, the dough didn't seem like it was made or cooked right. There was barely an sauce on it. Use to love coming to this place. But as of the beginning of this summer the new bar crowd that comes in everyday around happy hour has been really making my friends and I choose other places to go. It honestly really unfortunate because we all live on the grid and use to really like coming in for a few drinks. We all either walk or ride our bikes the 2-3 blocks for our homes. This new group of "regulars" all drive here and have more drinks than one should and get into their cars and drive home. Which is really not good considering a lot of people around here have kids and pets. The one guys literally fell over trying to get into his car. My wife and her friends went and left because another one of the "regulars" made them feel very uncomfortable. I just think for a neighborhood hang that is family friendly homeslice as local own and original started by people that loved this community needs to actually have standards when it comes to what they let there so called "regulars" get away with. Just so you know, when you order one of their pizza options, they are premade. So, if you order, for example, their veggie pizza and want to add "Italian sausage", they will just throw some paper thin slices of sausage links on the pizza. So sad. If you order a "Greek salad " you will get a bunch of dried up bagged spring mix with a bunch of flavorless pizza ingredients thrown on top...for 10$. I feel like I am in a food desert. This restaurant group is part of the 3 poised to take over Durango and they couldn't be more worthless and lazy. I love this location, it was one of the first pizza places my cousins took me to. I was in town for the weekend and they brought me here. The pizza is amazing! The crust is my favorite. they also have really good salads. I've yet to try their sandwiches but I will definitely try them next time I'm in town. The staff is always super friendly and chill. We are visiting from out of town but a friend recommended Home Slice so we have to a try. The employees were all working hard and getting the food out and ready quickly. We had 2 slices each with added toppings and took them to go. They are generous slices of pizza at a very reasonable price with a good selection of standard toppings. This is an order at the counter when ready type of place and they have menus hanging in front just under one of the registers if needed. By the the name and logo, I expected a urban/sporty vibe but true to the mountain/mining culture of the area were met by a rustic/industrial metal vibe which was cozy. We ordered a 18" 1/2 Italian Job and 1/2 Garlic Chicken with an order of pepperoni pizza rolls and an order of the basic garlic bread knots. I hail from Chicagoland, one of the three pizza capitals of the US! That being said, I extremely enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the marinara sauce they served with the 2 bread sides that I imagine is also used on the pizzas with red sauce which had a nice lowley spice to it. I feel if this place decided to open up in Chicagoland it would easily compete with the top dogs in the area! read more

There is some parking behind the restaurant and maybe some around the other side but we didn't look there as we found parking. There's patio seating and some tables inside as well. We went in the back way where it looks like people come get their to go orders. There's a little bar area, an order counter and pizza slices and salads on display. We ordered at the counter - 12 inch pepperoni, mushrooms, spinach and half Canadian bacon. He got a beer and I had water. It took about 30 mins for the pizza to be made, during which time they got busy. The pizza was only warm when it came and the cheese was staring to congeal already. I was not impressed. The dough is between a thin crust and deep dish. It was average to me. He liked it fine. I felt like it was overpriced and I was not impressed with the service. It's a college feel pizza restaurant. I'll start off by saying the pizza is always delicious here. But I have to bring this matter up because I've never been treated like this in restaurant before. The waitress/bartender wasn't busy she had three people at the bar and the other table looked like they were finishing up. We had a party of 11 my cousin ordered 4 pies. We were patience pizza came out quickly but when it did she just threw them on the table while we're making room and told us do whatever you want with them and walked away. She wasn't really a waitress; this place you refill your own drinks and condiments are around the soda fountain but her attitude wasn't friendly at all. And after we ate my family went outside I went into the bathroom and I could hear here talking about our party. She was complaining and mentioned we had to have a birthday cake. She didn't even help with anything!! We had our own plates got our forks from the condiment area and we even cleaned up after ourselves. We come to place often and our niece is going to school here now so we'd probably be coming here a lot but sad to say we will not be returning. read more
