This is a great locals bar in downtown Durango. Really friendly bartender (Kale ) and owners - actual daughter of original owner and her mum. We had excellent cocktails and fun. I ordered a Jumbo Slice called 'the hogsback' It was loaded down with (pepperoni, Canadian bacon, ham& Italian Sausage). This pizza was the bees knees!!! Where to begin. I visited Durango CO for vacation and remember this amazing establishment from my past experiences. However, I will never return after this nonsense. I attempted to make an online pick up through the app this restaurant uses called, "Slice." After my selection I attempted to pay for my order and I was shown a screen that read, "Your cart doesn't meet the minimum requirements." It didn't show my order went through. I checked my account and there was no charge. Okay, so I called the store and proceeded to re-order what I attempted to order online ($46.00) for one pizza. After purchasing my order and twenty minutes later I receive a text from my bank letting me know I had two transactions through Father Daughter pizza. My brother who was there to pick up my order was given one pizza. I asked him to have them refund me my order and the owner tells him, "no" and that I have to go through the Slice app to get my refund. I call Slice and they tell me that the business has to approve the refund and they will have to contact them. While my brother was at the store, the Slice rep calls Father Daughters Pizza and the owner proceeds to tell the Slice rep that they will not refund me my money. The Slice rep then proceeds to tell me they will not refund me my money and ends our conversation. I text my the screen shot of the Slice App letting me know the order didn't go through to show the owner and he didn't care. My brother leaves with only one pizza. When he gets home, he didn't have the second pizza nor did he have my refund so I go the restaurant. I spoke to the owner and he asks me to step outside. Mind you he was intoxicated which I could smell the smelter from his breath and his lethargic, slurred speech. After going over the whole process he attempted to explain what happened and tells me I'm not getting my refund. After deliberating about my refund I then stop by telling him I don't want my refund and that I'll just take my second pizza so I can leave. He stood there and attempted to argue with me more so I show him my bank transaction of the two pizzas I ordered. He then tells me to wait where he walks to the back and returns a short time later to tell me that his staff threw away my pizza. He then tells me to wait ten minutes and he will have them make my second pizza. As he walks away he tells me to have a drink and gestures to his bartender / waitress to get us a drink (he really thought I was going to spend anymore of my money is this joint.. ha, I don't think so). After waiting almost 30 minutes he finally brings out the pizza and doesn't say a word and we walk out and leave. When I get home, I throw it away because I just don't trust that shit was made with perfection. This owner needs a reality check. After spending almost $100 for two pizzas I doubt it would have hurt to just refund my pizza. This owner needs to do more classes about how to run a business properly. He also doesn't need to drink while working because it degrades his morale as a business owner. It's too bad because I always looked forward to eating here while on vacation. I'm sure there is plenty of other pizza owners in Durango CO who will love our business. out! read more
