Bummer. I've been coming to this place for years. Back when it was called Diorios, then weed was legalized and you never knew what you'd get when you'd order. Then the place was sold, remodeled and menu changed...for the worse. The home made dressings and deserts were replaced with more poor service. The place is unbelievably disorganized. Too bad, because the pizza is really good. If you don't mind poor service, wrong orders, running out of pizza (no joke), and feeling dumber for having walked in, then you'll like this place. Ate here twice on a recent trip. If you're looking for good pizza and reasonable prices, this is it. Don't know what's up with some of the other reviews, the staff and owner were very nice. The owner was delivering food to tables and chatting with customers (some of whom seemed to be regulars). Went up and down main street multiple times, but this was the one of the only places giving off the kind of vibe I like (not a tourist trap). As far as I'm concerned this place is a hidden gem and I hope to grab another pie the next time I'm the area. read more

Update!!! Waited a full hour for the pizza and they had given it door dash by accident. Door Dash, the same folks I was literally told were more important than me. Still no pizza. I'm sure the guy in the back cares but nobody else does! Completely and utterly unacceptable the treat a local customer like this. Cleary the owners could care less about the patrons. Ordered a pie same way I always about month ago, 30 min wait,,, no problem,, I'll wait for that. Ordered a pie from at my house, drove into town to get it, about 30 mins,, place was completely dead,,, hadn't even started my pie. Was literally told Door Dash orders are more important than mine. Was a little hesitant to try this as I like a couple other pizza joints in Durango. We decided to try it and now it's my favorite pizza around. The crust is crunchy but not hard, the toppings are fresh and they seem to use real cheese. It's not all greasy and artificial tasting/looking. The menu prices seem a little steep on the specialty pizzas but you get what you pay for. They have a pretty cool bar and the drinks they mixed us were on point. Absolutely the most delicious pizza we have ever had. My 10 year old son ate THREE massive slices. Their salads are huge and the service is hands down the best ever. We visited Father's Daughters Pizza on a Saturday night. The vibe was chill and there were different games on every TV. The highlights of our visit were the calzone, the wings, and the drinks. First we ordered a calzone, you can pick your own fillings, we ordered pepperoni and bacon. Like Ben Wyatt I like calzones, and Father's Daughters has the best Calzone that I've ever had. Most places are cheap with the cheese, or the fillings, or both. There was cheese and toppings/fillings in every bite, and the calzone had a lot of flavor! I would definitely go there again just to get the calzone. I noticed that the locals next to me were eating BBQ wings that looked really good. Since the calzone tasted so great, I also ordered the BBQ wings. They were also good, and I thought they went well with my Calzone. They have a local craft soda company provide them with their fountain drinks, and I got to try every flavor because Father's Daughters Pizza offers free refills. Most of the flavors were pretty good, but I ended up liking the strawberry and the root beer flavors the best. They also have beer and alcohol. We sat at the bar so our server was the bartender Tyler. His service was awesome, and I saw him make a crazy impressive cocktail for another person while we were there. I highly recommend this place. I wanted to like this place, but I won't be able to find out, because we didn't get a chance to eat there. We ordered a pizza and calzone and waited. And waited. And after about an hour we asked about our order. It had gotten lost or something and btw we don't have your pizza dough size any more so how about a slice. We weren't offered a different size. When we said we'd rather eat elsewhere, we were still charged for drinks, even soda. I told them I didn't think that was the way to handle it and they still charged for sodas. We stopped at this spot after two failed attempts to eat at other places due to long wait times. We got seated right away here. We chose to sit outside because of a strong sulphur smell indoors. The wait staff was kind. However, we had to wait 15 minutes to order, then 25 more minutes until our food arrived. The salad i ordered came with the pizza, but the pizza was not ours. We may have just had the best pizza of our lives. I'll admit, I've been dieting, so it's been a few months since I've had legit pizza, but this was beyond legit. The slices are gigantic, and only around $7! My husband got the Texan, which was Chicken Bacon Ranch, and it was fantastic. I got the Wise Guy, which was meatball, carmelized onions, mushroom, and basil. And OMG. Every aspect was perfection. And the crust is the perfect vessel. But the NEW OWNERS have RUINED it with their baffling renovation & service changes! SERVICE IS IN A VERY SORRY STATE! Back when the place was DSP, you had a small pizza place. There were tables, a counter to order your food at, bus tubs, and a public bulletin board. It was the kind of low-key place where you could grab a beer, a slice, chill with some friends while watching Snowboarding flicks and get out in 30 minutes or less. Now for some reason the owners thought it'd be a good idea to switch over to traditional table service while getting rid of HALF of the seating to put in a bar with the least impressive liquor selection this side of the Mississippi. The end result is that it took THEM 30 MINUTES REHEAT 3 SLICES OF PIZZA IN THEIR OVEN! AND THAT WAS NOT ON A BUSY DAY! AND THEN WHEN THEY SCREWED UP OUR ODER, WE DIDN'T EVEN GET AN APOLOGY! It's safe to say that the Father sure knew how to run a pizza place better than the daughter, and now they've lost a loyal lifelong customer because of it. Totally redeemed! From last visit while the new owners were in transition it wasn't as great....but now! The pizza slices are flavorful (cheese) and they still serve local brewskies! Pinstripe goes well with a cheese slice and lots of red crushed peppers! They got classic rock playing and I appreciate the decor more. It's a comfortable atmosphere and good friendly staff. I am absolutely appalled by how the hostess/cook treated not only my party, but another group as well. A misheard food order is understandable. A hostess having a bad day isn't what we are mad about. When you push away customers, disregard every request, and give as little effort possible to tossing out an overpriced, piss-poor excuse for a pizza, I've got no other option, than to believe this establishment is the biggest waste of space in this town. (4 slices for $24... Seriously???) Please understand I am not trying to completely destroy a family owned local business through a yelp review... honestly this is embarrassing to even type. I don't know what was going on today, but it took my party of thirteen about 25 minutes to get three margaritas and about 50 minutes from ordering to get our first food, which was mostly pizza ordered by the slice. The price is pretty high for the poor quality of service. Are your staff all new? Or not trained well? Do they not have any incentives? We got here at 4:15 on a Sunday, not a busy time, and it took us an hour and forty five minutes to get out of here. We also had empty waters on our table for about half an hour before someone dropped off a pitcher. Would not recommend. Pizza looked good, though. I got a salad. It was okay. read more

Being born and raised in Jersey and working in midtown Manhattan for 27 years, I know good NJ/NY style pizza. Father's Daughter's is definitely spot on. The Sicilian and NY style pizza are excellent and I highly recommend it. Bonus points to the owner Dave, aka "Pops". Went in to sit down & order a piece of pizza and a coke. It was my first time to visit this place. It wasn't really busy inside.. others came in after me - and were served full meals before me. I asked where my slice of pizza was because the server said it would be out in 5 minutes after I ordered. The server said a few times .. I promise .. it's on the way .. it's on the way... just 2 more minuets ...but it never ever came. I waited more than 30 minutes! The server was a nice enough person. The actual service and promissory note that the food was coming was piss poor. Remember - when you read this, service is super important no matter how good the food may be. The worst experience while eating out in Durango in over a week! If I could give this place zero stars, that would be my preference. We walked in and the place had a few couples present, but certainly not busy by any stretch of the imagination. Anyway, we just ordered some slices of pizza for us and the kids. Others walked in and sat down sometime after us and after 45 minutes we still didn't have any food or even a clue as to when our food would arrive. Others that arrived after us received their food, but not us. We queried our waitress and she was apologetic, but said she wasn't sure how much longer it would be. I gave our young waitress a monetary tip since it wasn't her issue and the other staff said nothing. Pretty sad service by this business and obviously no oversight as to such issues by management. My favorite place for pizza in Durango. The portions are *very* generous and filling. The pineapple pizza was amazing. The waitress' are always friendly. The only complaint is that it feels very crowded, especially with the bar added. However, it was really cool how they had a little room for the kids with toys etc. (I've also seen them disinfect and clean it, which was a germaphobe's dream). Seriously love this place. read more

We came here on a SUPER busy Friday evening. The restaurant and bar was packed, but Tyler took SUCH great care of us. He was attentive, friendly, stayed very cool Calm and collected during the rush hour. He was able to joke around with his guests, while proactively communicating that their food was in the system and coming out soon. He handled the rush so well and truly cares about his customers.
