Really great Cajun Jambalaya. Located inside the Farmers Market. Great spices but not overpowering. Free sample and two size proportions.

We arrived to the patio bar first and had a great experience with the very informative bar tender. She was helpful and made recommendations for us to choose from for dinner. Patio drinks Jack and Coke double tall and Old Fashion. We were welcomed in with a "happy birthday" and seated promptly. Once seated, Katie came to the table with a bubbly and positive attitude (she was fantastic). She took our order quickly and stayed on top of the beverages. Now here is where the experience went from really good to top-notch--apps, dinner, desserts. Starters Caesar salad with spicy breadcrumbs was the best and most fresh tasting Caesar my husband and I have ever tasted... not too much dressing but very flavorful Truffle potatoes with truffle cream sauce and parsley powder came with a punch of savory flavor and a nice crunch wonderfully delicious. Only disappointment was there was not more! Mussels White Wine with freshly toasted local sourdough bread. The mussels were cooked perfectly and made with a perfect blend of citrus and garlic broth. Dinners Roasted Chicken Pesto Risotto was one of the most flavorful items of the night. Risotto cooked perfectly and the combination of ingredients matched perfectly. Pan seared Trout was the best dinner of the night, in my opinion. The corn and blend of dill and burre blanc was a magical pairing with the perfectly cooked Trout. So much flavor Dessert Cremeux olive oil cake was fresh and had a nice citrus flavor paired with chocolate cremeux and raspberries. Very unique but worth the try! Sticky Toffee Pudding So many flavors with this. This one was my favorite, but it was "if held hostage I would choose" situation because everything was so tasty! The server got the kitchen to make me a French Toast Bread Pudding even after the kitchen had stopped serving it for the day (brunch menu). All desserts are amazing! If you go to this hidden gem, prepare to have your tastebuds in overdrive! Wonderful service, amazing food and overall blown away experience! We will be back and will continue to support this local business that supports other local businesses!!!! Go see Katie and the team!!!

Didn't feel like I was right in the heart of bustling East Nashville - felt like a little retreat. The service was great and so patient with us as we were quite indecisive. Especially since it was a new menu and there were no pics online (then I totally forgot to take pics to help future yelpers not fall to my fate, alas!). I landed on the French Toast Bread Pudding. It was quite heavenly, but I do wish it was a bit bigger for the price... My friends both got the Avocado Toast and a few of us ordered sides of chicken sausage (and yeah, that was good and they were also a good size, plus 3 links were included in each order). We finished quite quickly but were in a deep convo about who knows what, but never felt rushed to leave (probs as it was kind of between service times, but still, appreciated). Def need to go back for Dinner and another little retreat!

Anything from the burritos to classics we enjoy. Today we had the banana Nutella pancakes and Big Rube - thoroughly delicious. I will say, the service fluctuates and the servers appear extremely overworked and exhausted which makes me sad. Expect a lengthy wait for a table (60 minutes this morning and they quoted 40 minutes), but know you'll enjoy the quaint welcoming dinning space.

Sheesh. Sky Blue has been one of our East Nashville staples for years, but our most recent visit…read moreleft us with a very poor taste in our mouths--not due to the food, food was fine, although probably spat in. We experienced a 45min wait which we were happy to go with as it is a small restaurant, and they usually do their best to accommodate as many people as they can. The difference this time than our previous visits is that we have had a baby since then. Clearly there was a miscommunication when checking in, as they were very demeaning when we asked for a high chair, naming that we claimed we didn't need one. I was not part of that conversation but it sounded like that was assumed rather than asked by the host/manager/dirty blonde white woman named Andie. When we asked for a high chair after being sat next to a table where the party was not taking up the whole table and there happened to be room for one, she proceeded to give us a lot of attitude saying that we said we didn't need one. We then asked our waiter (did not get his name, but he was kind and accommodating), he said he would try to get us some high chairs for the two babies in our party. We could overhear Andie saying to him, "they said they didn't need one but do whatever." Okay, not the nicest, but we were gonna let it slide. Then one of our party was scooting out of the booth after a group had left to go use the bathroom, and Andie walks over and says to her, "there's a party about to sit here." My friend says, "yeah, I'm just getting out to go to the restroom." She just assumed we were going to take up the whole table? Weird. Additionally, we were missing silverware, and when we asked another worker to bring us some, she came back and threw the silverware on the table knocking over bottles. And at the end, Andie had the audacity to ask us how everything was, and I responded that this was the worst service we'd ever received here, and her response was to look at the friend who signed up for a slot and said "sorry for the miscommunication but I was just going off of what he said". At the end of the day, we understood not having room for high chairs but it was all in the tone and attitude in which she responded that left us feeling like we were a burden to be there with our babies. We understand it's a small space, but had she just been kind to begin with, then things would have taken a much different turn. Needless to say, this is not a very family friendly restaurant so I urge young families to find somewhere else to eat. Hopefully management doesn't treat their employees as rudely as Andie treated customers, but I have a feeling that isn't the case. We won't be back. Editing to add the response they left on my husband's google review. Unless you like to pay to be demeaned and treated poorly, save your money and find another local restaurant who actually cares about their customers.

I will say - the staff was fantastic, so review is not on their direct service. The place looks a little run down and unkept. Especially the restrooms. We went at lunch but only 2 other parties in the indoor portion and tables that were used previously patrons were not bussed for a while so their trash was on tables. Ordered Guinness and it was being put in and warm so couldn't serve it. Makes sense BUT bummer because it's Father's Day and my S.O. couldn't get a Guinness during lunch on Father's Day from a Boston based bar..kind of uncool. Connecticut lobster roll was buttery and fantastic. The chips that came with it were good. My husband's Signature Fish wasn't that great. Rather greasy and didn't taste like our previous visits. Felt bad because took my S.O. chose this place for his day but food was just okay. We also paid $14 for parking (lot in front) - yikes.

Super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Their patio is such a great spot. Large and spacious. The reason for my less than stellar ranking is due to my fish and chips. I got the British style. I love beer bartered fish. This one just was a little too greasy and a little more fishy than I like. My friends tried it and agreed. We did like that you could order a singular crab cake, a few people got that. I would go back but maybe try a different fish. I would love to go back for drinks and the pretzel at happy hour.

Getting to finally try it on the company dime is a definite win. But my review will be as if I paid, trust me. I'm very ethical :) The appetizers were so fun. I'm not a dill fan, but I wiped off the cream freche and dill powder from the Chicken BcNuggets and without the toppings, they were pretty bland. I tried the steak tartare (my first time ever having it) and it was divine. My coworkers couldn't get enough fo the Whipped Pimento Cheese. The main courses were so good - I got the Nashvile Strip Steak without cheese (lactose intolerant) and it was so delish. The toasted potato blini was amazing. A few people got the Mediterranean Branzino and it was a little fishy (but that was the only dish that got bad reviews). There were a few Risotto and Chicken dishes and they were well received. The desserts were heavenly, too. The experience was just wonderul and the staff was so attentive (but not too much so). Highly recommend for special occasions, just skip the fish.

We opted for a couple of bottles and apps. For gluten free friends, their "Chicken BcNuggets"" are delicious and gluten free!! We also ordered the pimento cheese, which no one at the table loved. It felt more like a whipped cream cheese topped with sweet pepper jelly. Overall this place is great, but be prepared to spend!
