    - 24 hours smoked in a large grill with a smokestack - hickory wood - you can smell the flavor down the street - rich, sweet, tangy, smokey - ordered pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and a diet coke and thoroughly enjoyed - owner is super nice, been here for 12 years - very authentic, well-made bbq!

If you are on Lebanon Pike convenient place to pick up some barbecue for lunch.

Great place to stop to pickup barbecue for lunch if you're on Lebanon Pike. Great price and abundant of side choices as well.

Not great, as anticipated. I bought 2 lbs of brisket; Definitely a little short on meat. The flavor was ok but the meat was not cooked tender. Disappointed: all the way around.

First time me and my gf tried it out (recently moved to the area). WOW... this was incredible. Insanely better than the chain BBQ joints around Nashville. I got the brisket sandwich and she got the BBQ nachos. Coleslaw and potato salad were out of this world. WE WILL BE BACK!

Almost missed Constant Smoke because we were looking for a store front. Constant is in a good trailer. In a plumbing supply store parking lot. Glad we turned around. Great hospitality and best BBQ. We enjoyed the BBQ Brisket Sandwich plates. I picked baked beans and coleslaw. Decent sized lunches. I was hungry and wished I had paid the extra for the Jumbo portions. Constant has a small, covered deck big enough for a picnic table. Weather was nice so we enjoyed our lunch outside. For the owner of this gem of a BBQ stand, I'll give him a GO TITAN's.

We had the brisket sandwich with cole slaw and baked beans. Must stop, the brisket is sweet, smoky and tender.

That is surprisingly hard to find consistently in most of the barbecue places in Nashville. The pork here has great flavor good, but sometimes is a little dry. I love the beans and the potato salad here. The coleslaw isn't creamy, so it's not for me. I do wish they had bigger cups. They are hilariously small for a drink to go with flavor-filled BBQ. This place is not fancy. That's what is great about it. You get a free view of the marina, and after you eat be sure to visit J. Percy Priest Dam. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find out they don't serve brisket at all, and since I arrived at 4:00 PM, they were completely sold out of ribs until 5:00 PM. Not wanting to wait around for an hour, I pivoted and ordered the smoked chicken, baked beans, and french fries. Here is how the meal stacked up: * The Smoked Chicken: This was the star of the show. It was incredibly good, and I'm pretty sure they gave me a generous half-chicken. Not sure what type of seasoning they use but it's a pretty good dry rub. For a total of $20 for the whole meal, I think the portion made it worth the price. * The Sauces: I paired the chicken with their hot barbecue sauce, and it definitely has a real kick to it! I absolutely loved it, but if you aren't big on heat, they do have a mild option available. * The Baked Beans: Very flavorful and loaded with real chunks of bacon. Word of warning: they serve them piping hot. They were probably boiling when they went into the Styrofoam cup, and I almost burnt my tongue lol. I had to let them cool down for at least 10 minutes before diving in, but they were worth the wait. * The French Fries: The weakest link of the meal. You can definitely tell they aren't homemade - they seem like standard frozen fries that are just deep-fried and tossed with some salt. The Takeaway: If you're looking for a traditional BBQ joint with a massive variety of sides, sausage, and brisket, you might find the menu a bit limited. The variety isn't massive, but what they do do, they do well.

My husband and I came here excited to try some authentic Tennessee BBQ and everything was honestly so good. I got the brisket with baked beans and mac & cheese, while my husband got the chicken with green beans and baked beans. First off... the brisket was SO tender and juicy. It paired perfectly with the BBQ sauce and those baked beans? OH MY GOD. The baked beans were seriously the star of the meal for me.. sweet, smoky, flavorful, and completely addicting. I could've eaten a whole bowl by myself The mac & cheese was also creamy and delicious, just solid comfort food all around. My husband loved his chicken too. Super juicy, flavorful, and not dry at all which is always a win with BBQ chicken. I also tried the Tennessee Sour and let me just say... they do not play around with drinks out here It was really good, but one more and I probably would've been done for the night lol. The hospitality here was amazing. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and helpful which made the experience even better. Definitely a spot we'd come back to anytime we're in Nashville again. Thank you for such a great first BBQ experience in Tennessee! :)

We also got pecan pie and fudge pie. The pecan was ok, but the fudge pie was gritty and pastie. We also got a root beer which was flat. We asked the guy who brought our food if we could get it replaced and he just stood there like he didn't understand. Then said I don't know and walked away. Terrible experience. So sad.

One of the worst habits I have is I have pretty noticeable FOMO when it comes to bbq joints. After a fairly sizable meal of hot chicken and sides, and after a good-sized concrete mixer after, I should've taken it easy with a smaller dinner. I should've followed Toby's example and gotten that fried bologna sandwich here I wanted to try. Instead, my lizard brain kicked in and I went after the spare ribs and smoked chicken that I normally would've gotten had it been any other day. I just can't see myself going to a place known for whole hog bbq and opting for a sandwich. It's like traveling with a beautiful girl who's into you and choosing to just settle for walks to first. Nobody has that kind of restraint. Ribs are just too good. And Martin's ribs, like the other greats like Joe's KC, Pappy's, Montgomery Inn, and Fat Bob's is not something you give up on once you're there. And what's worse is that Martin's actually gave me 7 ribs with the combo I ordered. Add to that the smoked 1/4 chicken, the 3 bread slices, the kickass beans, and a decent mac n' cheese and you have a recipe for busting a gut in trying to eat most of your plate. The service was good, even if they didn't check on me as much as I would've liked. When I asked for refills and a box for the table, they were prompt and courteous about it. That's what matters. Not only that they offered the refills for the road like a good restaurant does so you can tell they care about treating their customers well in other ways. The ambiance was good. It definitely made me want to sit in there again. And maybe this time I get the fried bologna instead and Toby gets the heavier plate and sighs incredulously all night about how she's a dead woman due to gluttony. I don't know--I don't think it's a true bbq feast for the ages until someone one complains they might die happy due to excessive barbecue.

I rolled up to the drive-through window to be greeted by a less enthusiastic teenager who seemed to bothered I was even there. I told her today's my first time here what do you recommend... And she just looked at me and said what kind of meat do you want? She wasn't able to answer any of my questions, and she was not friendly at all. While I was ordering, she was staring off, not writing anything down and then when she told the cook, what my order was, she had to come back twice to ask me what I wanted again. I told her there was only two of us eating and I wanted to try a little bit of everything and she just stared at me so I just ordered a 2 pound meal that came with sides. I asked her if I could get half turkey half pork and she said yes. I ordered beans and potato salad and got a loaf of cornbread. I received the food pretty quickly, so that's a plus! About an hour later, I begin to prep the food for dinner and noticed it was all pork. So I called and said hey can I come back down and exchange this? I was supposed to have half pork half turkey.. The manager on the phone told me to bring the food and the receipt and I could get it fixed, so I drove down there and she tells me that it's going to be an up charge for the difference. It's going to be a little more than what I paid. Mind you I don't even have shoes on, I was in the middle of preparing dinner and jumped in the car to come down there to fix their mistake... So I told her I don't have my wallet. I don't even have shoes on, and the girl never told me there was a higher fee for that... Not to mention I just drove back down here because of your mistake. I was pretty appalled that they took the meat, typically if food has been taken all the other places I've been to have said just keep it. We can't take it back... But we'll get you a new one. Not saying I wanted free food or ask anything extra... But it did make me wonder what they were doing with the pork that had been to my house, opened repackaged and taken down there. So then I asked for more barbecue sauce because with 2 pounds of meat, they only gave me two little shot glass containers of barbecue sauce. She then asked me if I wanted to buy a jar of barbecue sauce, to which I replied, no I'd like to have more barbecue sauce for the 2 pounds of meat that I bought from you. Anyway, long story short, the turkey ended up being dry, the pork was good and the rest was just OK. I spent $73, so needless to say I was pretty annoyed that night.
