Stopped here on our way out of town. We were in TN for just a couple days and hadn't had BBQ yet, which needed to be resolved. Food was phenomenal. I had the brisket and rib combo platter with Mac & cheese, and grits casserole. Everything was terrific, I loved every bite. Service is up at the counter, and they give you a number and deliver to your table. Nice folks all around working here. They also do something I absolutely LOVE that most bbq places do not - ask if you want fatty or lean brisket. I have never been asked this before, I always have to ask for fatty brisket myself. Place inside looks how a bbq joint should - lots of wood, lots of TVs, and lots of tables. If you're heading out of town it's only like 8 minutes from the airport, perfect place to stop. read more

I gotta say.... I am way more impressed than I thought I would be when I first heard we were coming here. I am glad I was "brought" here because I may not have ever coon my own. I had heard of Edley's but had never seen one before. I do love BBQ so I am always down for some new versions of smoked meats I haven't tried. I might be a Nashville BBQ hater at heart, but I am trying to broaden my horizons and give people chances. This one is pretty damn good. I put them to the real test with a brisket plate on my first visit. They have better brisket than I can find in Memphis unfortunately. The trim was unique and I do not care for sauce on brisket (my fault for not reading), but this was some good BBQ. It's a typical setup for BBQ. You order at the counter, grab your drinks, find a table, and wait for the feast to arrive. They have all of the usual suspects. Brisket, pulled pork, ribs, burnt ends, turkey, and they have another menu with something they call "Nashville Style BBQ". I bet it's spicy, what ya wanna bet? I'll have to try that next time. I'll come back. I am curious now. I wonder if their sausage is any good. I guess I have to know now. See you next time, Edley's. '26 - 110 read more

Literally the best BBQ I have ever had. During our trip to Nashville, I knew we couldn't leave without trying Nashville BBQ, and we decided that we would pay a visit to Edley's! Almost a month later and I'm still dreaming about the food! My husband and I shared the platter where you choose 3 proteins and 2 sides. I wasn't sure what to expect, because up until this point I never really cared for BBQ. We got the most delicious brisket, it was so tender, and it paired perfectly with BBQ sauce. We also ordered the pulled chicken and pulled pork, which we also loved. And of course we couldn't leave without trying their banana pudding. As someone who loves banana pudding, it ranks as the best I've ever had... by far! After our visit to Edleys, I realized I never hated BBQ, I just hadn't had any good BBQ where I live. Take this as a sign to pay them a visit!! read more

Edleys is a Nashville staple if you want good bbq. It came highly recommended from a few locals and it did not disappoint! We ordered the family platter which was plenty for 4 adults. We had so much leftover! The cheesy grits casserole were a hit. I'm not a fan of grits but it was definitely a favorite. Brisket and ribs were so flavorful and delicious meat literally melted in our mouths. Everything was so delicious. We left with full belly's. Great ambience and service. Would definitely go back again. read more

Honest take-out review: On vacation I tried SC/NC/GA/TN BBQ the brisket here is the winner! 5/5 great sides too! Tap in below: Whether dining in, or taking out, this location has a dine in section and a take out section. Both sections were extremely nice and inviting: took mine to go but I can promise you it'd have been even more than a 5/5 if I sat down and had a meal there. Highly recommend!!! -Ribs and brisket platter: 5/5 Trying brisket in 4 states and 5 different styles I'll say the cuts I was given were well paired with sauce which compliments the brisket, but it honestly doesn't need it.... Collagen that melts as you bite into the fatty part and melt in your mouth tenderness that's just a smokers craft. Ribs were fall off the bone, flavorful, and just well done. BBQ sauce was well paired with it but would like to try some different sauces to complement it differently than the brisket. The potato salad was astounding, but the Cole slaw.... Probably tied for best slaw I had on the trip. Overall, THIS is the place you go for BBQ in TN. There's a ton of reviews for other places, but this is where the locals go. Donelson has a gem with Edley's here. I would venture to say that this location is a perfect spot for trying Tennessee style bbq first hand and loving every bit of it! Restaurant seemed to be lively and just a place you'd love to step into for a drink and a good meal! read more

Edley's Bar-B-Que - Ribs & Brisket platter - Barbeque Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

This is another respectable outlet of this local barbecue joint. The fried okra here is really good! And the mac and cheese is unusually intriguing with subtleties of maybe peppers and even something slightly sweet in the crispy breadcrumb topping. It's pleasantly complex. I think the best dish at the Donelson Edley's is the brisket. Some of those cuts have the perfect balance of a salty, fatty edge and hearty, smoky meat. The worst dish is certainly the ribs. They're extremely dry, even with barbecue sauce, and don't have a good flavor at all. But Edley's is a good addition to what was once a pretty desolate food scene in Donelson. Thank heavens they moved in! read more

Stopped by for their half-price Bushwacker special offered every Wednesday. Sat at the bar from the outside covered patio. Nice to see the restaurant busy! Fantastic service by the female bartender with the long dark hair. She was right on top of things! I'd guess parking may be difficult at times, yet we've never had a problem. Edley's Bar-B-Que - Bushwackers - Barbeque Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

Great Spot For Barbecue I stopped into Edleys on Lebanon Pike to try out some of their barbecue dishes. This location is close to BNA and hotels near the airport. Edley's has locations in Nashville and other areas of Tennessee. On this visit, I was looking for something different from my usual barbecue staple,s which are brisket, ribs and steaks. I ordered the Chicken Platte,r which comes with half a smoked chicken, a side of beans, coleslaw, corn bread and pickles. The chicken was very flavourful and was a very healthy portion, and I was almost unable to try the beans and the cornbread. Overall, it was a decent-sized meal that I was barely able to finish. Edleys makes great chicken, and I would try it again if I have a chance to go back. read more

So how this place works is you come in and You order what you want.. you have a seat and they bring it to you. They have a bar if you wanna have a drink as well they do have Happy hour during the week.! The ambience is like a family dive bar, but bigger! The food was definitely pretty good. I got brisket tacos, and fries..a turkey plate that came with two size and first I got grit casserole and banana pudding! Now everything was phenomenal. My only two complaint is the grits casserole. I think maybe the type of cheese that they use it has a very bad after taste or something. It wasn't very appealing to me and I think the basket of fries was kinda small for a basket and got cold REALLY FAST!!! I let them know that I wasn't a fan of the grits and they got me something else right away..I just kept the fries...i appreciate the sense of urgency on their end ! I definitely wanna say that Big Ali..He was great if you need anything taken care of, he will get it taken care of...he was such a great person to just talk..He's a gator pass holder so i definitely had to let it be known how good of a staff member he is to this establishment! Please give your staff a raise they really deserve it..This place is a 9/10 for me! Anytime I visit Nashville I will be here FOR SURE!! read more

My first visit to Edley's was fantastic! There are a few parking spots in the front for pickup orders, but plenty of parking behind the building. This location has a laid back, casual vibe with counter service and a full bar. I visited on a busy weekday evening, but the line to order moved quickly. After grabbing our drinks, it was only a few minutes before our food arrived. I ordered the smoked turkey plate with green beans, mac n cheese and cornbread. The turkey was smoked to perfection and was a huge portion. The mac n cheese had a great breadcrumb topping. I don't usually like coleslaw, but the small side that arrived with my meal was delicious!! Our group also tried the BBQ fries, which were incredible. After just one visit, I made sure to download the app -- I'll definitely be back! read more

Decided on Edley's BBQ on Lebanon Pike for Dinner. Ordered the Brisket Platter with lean Brisket, added 3oz smoked turkey for an up charge with potato salad & coleslaw. The Brisket came with a little sauce in it, but it was really good plain. Tender and melt in your mouth. Excellent Brisket. The potato salad was very good with large chunks of potato and awesome flavor. The coleslaw was different, but good. Not my favorite and kind of sour, a little different, but would probably go best with pulled pork. The turkey was an absolute amazing surprise. This was real turkey breast, not that pieced together lunch meat they smoke and slice. This was incredibly delicious and worth it. My wife also got the Brisket Platter with beans and potato salad. She loved everything. Unfortunately I found out the turkey is not the same at all the locations. That was incredibly disappointing. I would definitely return to this location. I did try another Edley's location and that experience was not good. This location had solid food and great service. read more

My go to for BBQ when I'm not wanting to take the time to smoke my own. The turkey is crazy tender & juicy. Best smoked turkey you'll get. Brisket is fantastic. The grits are amazing & I love the hot chicken salad. My favorite dish is the Tuck special sandwich with brisket. Brisket, fried egg, pimento cheese... perfect. But they have made some bizarre changes lately. I use to LOVE their cornbread. But they changed it for some reason & not nearly as good as it use to be. They also got rid of the ghost pepper bbq sauce. Still mad about it. It was my favorite sauce. The Nashville sauce is great. Very good. But damn do I miss that ghost sauce. I bought up every bottle they had left when I found out they weren't making it anymore. I've used it sparingly but I'm on the last bottle. Also, if u order for pickup, they randomly run out of stuff & don't tell you. I'll place & order online & when I get there find out they're out of something. Which is a bummer when you are ordering in bulk for several people. All in all though, still my favorite bbq when I don't want to take the time to do it myself. Definitely recommend it. Just miss some of the old stuff & wish there was better communication or updates online when things are out of stock. read more

Edley's BBQ - Lebanon Pike Stopped in for dinner and the experience was solid but not standout. The food overall was ok, but several items lacked the flavor I was hoping for. The brisket was tender enough but didn't have much depth or smoke. The ribs were nicely cooked and tender, but again, light on seasoning. Beans were good, potato salad was decent, and the smash burger landed somewhere in the middle. The ordering setup wasn't my favorite -- ordering before sitting down and having to go to the bar for a beer took away from the experience. Nothing was bad, but nothing really popped either. Good, not great. read more

We came here for a short weekend trip and had to get some good barbecue that is hyped up in this city! It was very confusing to order and the lady was pretty impatient with us so we got everything. We got the platter with one of each meats of ribs, brisket, pulled pork, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, corn, fries and banana pudding. My favorite was the pulled pork and ribs- both tender and flavorful. The brisket was a little fatty and tough which was not to my liking. For the sides the mashed potatoes and corn were disgusting (also not a fan of sweet potatoes and the corn was watery). The banana pudding was a 100000/10. I never had pudding before and that was life changing. The mac and cheese and fries were average. Overall for the price and quality this place is worth it! You cant go wrong with getting any of the meats here. We paid like $60 for everything and it was well worth it! read more

Highly recommended by multiple sources, we ventured from Opryland to Edley's BBQ prior to hitting the Grand Ole Opry. I know we are tourists, but we definitely enjoyed our time in music city, hanging with the locals and devouring some great food. Tennessee BBQ (ribs and brisket) at this joint is saucy, super tender, full of meat flavor and nicely coupled with some ice cold craft beer. Loved the coleslaw, collard greens and corn bread too. Pricing seemed reasonable, and although you stand in line to order, the follow up service was super attentive and all of the staff were pleasant. Southern hospitality charm coupled with great tasting generous portions, this place is a winner. read more

Went here for dinner last night and was pleasantly surprised. Being a Texan, BBQ on the road is sometimes questionable but Edley's delivered a stellar product. The restaurant feels like a typical BBQ house in Texas, great decor, good vibes and sweet smoky smell. I had the 2 meat plate, lean brisket and sausage and both were absolutely on point. The sauce had a good little kick to it making it the perfect compliment to the Smokey meats. The beans were called baked beans, but were more like good pinto beans with a sweet taste, they were very good. The service was good, there are no waitstaff, you order when you walk in, they give you a number and then a runner brings your food, drinks are self serve, so its hard to judge service so i will leave it at good. We will definitely return the next time we are in town. read more

Customer service was great. Was greeted when I entered and very friendly when answering questions. I ordered the brisket and jalapeno sausage dinner with grits casserole and green beans. It also came with cornbread. I also ordered a catfish sandwich. I love grits. Was unfamiliar with a grits casserole. It was good. They had a little kick but not bad. The green beans were very flavorful. The cornbread was okay. The brisket was okay. I appreciated that there wasn't a lot of fat on the slices. The barbecue sauce helped it which was sweet with a kick. The jalapeno sausage was good. I had never heard of the combination. The catfish sandwich was excellent. The catfish was fried perfectly and seasoned well. The tartar sauce was great. I only had one bite of each because it was late in the day. Leftovers were good. read more

I can live with the fact that there's no turb table service, but the food was poor. I had the pork sandwich. I'm glad I didn't buy the platter. It's very expensive for pork. That's as moist as newspaper. I don't even like the barbecue sauce and I want to putting almost a cup on it just so it would soak up enough so that I could eat it. I don't know if there's a mission barbecue around here, but maybe the people here should go see how they make their food read more

The lady taking the orders was initially not very welcoming, however, I had to understand that she probably has to deal with indecisive people all day. Our server was awesome though so it balanced out staff experience. The food was just ok. I did not like the mac n cheese nor the string beans. The brisket was tender but flavorless without sauce. I did love my jalapeno cheese sausage though. I tasted my friend's wing and that was delicious! I gave Edley's BBQ two chances, and unfortunately both experiences were disappointing. On Father's Day, I stopped by for a to-go order. There was no clear signage indicating where to place to-go orders if you're parked in the main lot behind the restaurant. After figuring that out, I ordered a chicken sandwich and specifically requested it plain. The order was entered correctly on the receipt. When I got back to my hotel and took a bite, I discovered it had pickles on it. I hate pickles. Unfortunately, it was late and the restaurant had already closed, so I couldn't return it. The next day, I decided to give Edley's another chance since it's close to my hotel. This time, I ordered a cheeseburger plain with cheese only. Again, the receipt was correct. I got back to my hotel, took a bite, and once again found pickles on my burger. At that point, I drove back to the restaurant for a replacement. The cashier seemed very nonchalant about the situation. I explained that my Father's Day meal had also been made incorrectly and that this was now the second day in a row with the same mistake. Everyone makes mistakes, but getting a simple plain order wrong twice in a row is frustrating. Based on these experiences, I won't be returning. I'd rather drive an extra 10 minutes to a fast-food restaurant than take another chance here. Update: As of July 7, 2026, I still have not received any response from the establishment after being advised to contact Mr. Gustavo by email which I did on 06/28. I have checked my inbox as well as my Spam and Junk folders, and there has been no communication. I also want to point out that this was technically the third attempt to resolve this matter and hopefully get things handled correctly. Unfortunately, this has been very disappointing. read more

Edley's will forever be on my Nashville to-do list, even on a Monday it was packed and people were standing in a long line, fighting the rain to get there. That was enough to get me inside without a plan for what to order. First, I have to say get a combo platter, I can't imagine only getting one type of protein since everything looked so good. I'm not sure which was better, honestly, so I'll have to get a combo on my next visit, too. For sides, my choices were even more confusing, I wanted them all. But, settling on green beans and mac-and-cheese was an excellent plan as they were both incredible. The green beans did have a substantial amount of pepper, which was perfect, but may not be suitable for everyone. Oh, the cornbread, don't skip out on the cornbread. I heard good things about this place, so I had to check it out. On Friday evening, August 14, I arrived just before 9 pm, and they had run out of brisket, ribs, and smoked chicken. I left but still wanted to give them a try. The next day, I had ribs delivered, and they were tough, chewy, and fatty...not much flavor. However, the grits casserole was great as was the coleslaw. Had it not been for those and the cornbread, the meal would have been a disaster. read more

It was alright , didn't really have any flavor, we had the combo platter -pulled pork, chicken, Brisket and added on the jalapeño sausage with coleslaw and Mac and cheese. Pulled pork was bland no flavor really, the pulled chicken wasn't bad, probably the best meat on the platter. Brisket was over cooked, and really dry hard to swallow. Probably should've came off the smoker a little sooner! The sausage seemed like it was just heated up on a stove top. Coleslaw was drowned in vinegar. Maybe we just tried the wrongs meats, but I would come back. Employees were nice and friendly. read more

First time here after seeing Edley's on Fox News but not exactly the same location this one was closer to our hotel. They have several locations to choose from. We arrived on Wednesday at 4:00 and it was 25% full. I ordered the burnt ends with Mac and cheese, was good a bit too much bread crumbs, the cornbread a bit dry, the burnt ends moist and tasty and the grits were good. I give my meal a 4. The wife had a juicy 1/2 chicken with delicious-collard greens and awesome green beans. The cole slaw was a tasty vinegar dressing that I loved. I gave her dinner a 4.5. Pretty good. The chicken came with barbecue and Carolina white sauce on top. She asked if they could redo the chicken without the sauce, it came very quickly. A great meal for under $40. read more

We came to Nashville for a concert and was told about Edley's BBQ and had to try it. Food: the food is average in my professional opinion for a bbq resturant. The greatest food is the ribs which is well seasoned, nicely bbq, and tasteful. The side or okay; the collagreens too oily, mac&cheese a bit bland, the fries are really good, and the cornbread is amazing. The drinks are nicely mixed. Service: the staff is high upbeat and friendly. The service is good with attention to needs and provide service with a smile and provide feedback to what's popular and tasteful on the menu. Ambiance: the vibe is very traditional style like a Texas Roadhouse. Everything is open seating and country wood style. The overall is a 3.7/5 read more
