Not good. The turkey should be pulled and or sliced. Too much fat on the turkey. No taste to the loaded baked potatoes. Like put some butter on the outside of the potato and crisp up that skin. Also shouldn't the the cheese be melted? The dish needs some acidity and crunch and the bbq sauce is just ok. read more

We stopped over at Firebrand BBQ while out running errands in Seward & they have a nice small roadside stand that will someday soon be a tradition in Seward!! We ordered the wrap, I got Brisket & Deb ordered the Pork. They were definitely packed with meat and sides that made a DELICIOUS MEAL!! Great BBQ in Seward and the staff were fast and friendly! My family needed a quick lunch and we stopped in for pulled pork and brisket sandwiches-so delicious. I saw that they opened early and had breakfast burritos with lots of meat choices so we stopped by the next morning before our glacier tour. Another tasty meal. We actually enjoyed the burritos so much that we picked up a few extras and my son devoured them. And finally we didn't want to wait in any crazy lines elsewhere so we went back to Firebrand BBQ for a 3rd day in a row and my wife and I had the "fancy eggs" breakfast. Boom. I want to start off by saying I absolutely love Firebrand BBQ! I don't think I've ever left a Yelp review (see reason below), but I want to leave one for this business because they deserve it! Firebrand BBQ, in Seward, Alaska serves the best barbeque on the Kenai Peninsula. My husband and I eat here quite often. Their food is always delicious! The staff and owners, Chad and Stephanie, are super friendly. As for Yelp I haven't been a fan ever since finding out from a friend, and business owner, years ago how Yelp deliberately hid good reviews of her business and told her they wouldn't make them "public" unless she paid them a ridiculous fee. In other words Yelp is into extortion. Which is criminal behavior, and should be punished accordingly. Sadly, I'm not surprised today to see that Yelp is still up to their shady business practices. Yelp has deliberately hidden six, 5 star reviews for Firebrand on their website. Those reviews can only be seen by clicking on "10 reviews for Firebrand BBQ that are not currently recommended". My husband and I came here for breakfast before our cruise, and we were quite happy with our choices. My husband got the fancy eggs with sausage, and I had the breakfast burrito with brisket. Both were well prepared and came out hot. The breakfast burrito was a little plain, but there is barbecue sauce on the tables that added the right kick to make it special. The burritos are also pre-made so they're ready for grab and go if you're in a rush. Overall good food and I would come here again. read more

Don't come here unless you want to take your chances of walking away empty handed. Not sure why they have set business hours yet don't abide by it. Came here 2 hrs before closing only to run into one of their employees who pointed to the closed sign and rudely said "read the sign" when I asked him if they were still open. I then asked if they're closed for the day (assumed they were low on supplies) and he again rudely and obnoxiously responded "read the sign." Side note. I had also came here the day prior, 30 minutes before closing, but saw the closed sign. So much for customer service from this business...the term 'customer satisfaction' doesn't exist in their vocabulary. read more

Chad, the owner, does all the cooking and is a super friendly guy. If you're looking for a great meal at a reasonable price with fast friendly service you can't go wrong with Firebrand I finally got to try one of Chad's pork belly wraps and it is even better than the breakfast burrito. It's wrapped up like a burrito, but it tastes like all the flavors of a BBQ (meat, coleslaw, beans and onions) perfectly blended together so you taste them all at once. I tried two breakfast burritos at this establishment. The breakfast sausage and the brisket. Both had great flavor. A little on the small side but they were still filling. Pulled pork was ok, the BBQ sauce was very basic and runny not thick. In my personal opinion the baked beans were HORRIBLE!!! I prefer a sweet baked bean or even the BBQ flavored baked beans. These tasted like pork & beans with a very small amount of flavor & zero brown sugar. My wife ordered a baked potato with brisket and received a baked potato with NO BRISKET. Definitely not my favorite or even close to reasonable. Everyone knows that prices in Alaska are very expensive so when you pay that much for food, you expect it to be pretty good and this was not!! read more

Got off cruise ship in Seward Alaska and such a nice small town. I checked out a bbq shack on the main road, Firebrand BBQ. Being from the south, I had to try it. The staff was very pleasant and the food was ok. While I am true to southern bbq, it was good, but it just doesnt compare to the South. Prices seemed a bit high, but as I went through Alaska, I saw that it is pretty spendy all over. I wish there was more brisket, as there were more sides but I guess it is expensive to get brisket up here. read more

We were in Seward and starving so I looked on yelp for something different to try. Firebrand popped up and I checked their website. Decent looking menu and not crazy prices. $7 for brisket sandwich seemed like a go. When we got the truck to order, the menu prices were $2 more than the previous year.( the menu photos and prices that were on yelp ) Ordered a brisket sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich. Cole slaw was an extra dollar so we ordered that as well. 5 minutes later and voila, 2 foil wrapped items appear. Opened them up and it was our sandwiches. My first sight was a sesame wonder bun. Took the top off and the coleslaw was on top of a very skimpy portion of meat. Nice smoke and taste to the brisket but lacked salt. $22+ tip was definitely not worth it. We were both still hungry when we left. Portions need to be adjusted to fit the price. Throw down and people will come back! read more
