The service here is amazing the manager really helped us pick some flavors since he saw that we were overwhelmed with the options. He also helped us out by telling us to go the cheaper way by doing the family pack instead of by the piece which we were grateful for. The food taste was spot on and super good, no complaints there. I stopped at Fire Wings for a late afternoon lunch and was excited to try this quickly-expanding chain. The restaurant itself is spacious and had a lot of seating. Further I was delighted to see they had many beers on tap (though I didn't partake). I ordered six Louisiana rub wings and seasoned fries. Somehow I ended up getting 12+ very small wings instead. I am not sure if this was a perturbation from the norm, or just how they do things, but worth nothing. The wings and seasoning were good, but on par with most large wing chains. The fries were good (slightly thicker than McDonald's or Wingstop) and well seasoned but nothing to get too exited about. I recommend Fire Wings if it is nearby but it was not drastically different than other wing chains so I cannot wholeheartedly say it is worth going out of your way for. read more

It was only a 15 minute wait and even when I got home, the wings were piping hot! I was a little disappointed by the tiny size of some wings, but the flavors were spot-on and delicious! Pretty nice new addition to all the eateries on Culver. I tried this place on Sunday for dinner and there was a quick line to order food at the front menu. A friend and I split a 20 piece bone in wings which comes w 3 flavors of choice and 2 dips. We got Garlic Parm (no spice), Lemon Pepper (1 spice), and Mango Habanero (2 spice). The Garlic Parm was my favorite and I was surprised by how spicy the Mango Habanero was given that the Lemon Pepper had a category of one spice but didn't taste spicy at all. We also got a Large side of Garlic Noodles to share which I highly recommend. The noodles portion was quite large and very filling. My meal total was $30 for 2 people which was pretty average. This place has a ton of beer options and the fancy Stubborn sodas too. There's plenty of parking and places to shop if you wanted to go somewhere quickly. The orders take about 10-15 minutes, depending on how much is ordered. Service is friendly and it's easy to order food over the phone or online. My absolute favorite is the salt and pepper. I don't know what it is about this, maybe the simple flavors, but it's just so damn good. I've had the boneless and the regular wings. The boneless chicken wings are pretty large-sized and I'm here for it. I got my husband Saigon street, original buffalo, mango habanero, and dragon. He inhaled them all. He did say that the mango habanero was his top choice out of them all but they were all tasty. It comes with various dipping sauces, which only enhances the overall taste. I couldn't eat what was supposed to be dinner. They really need someone to do a quality check on their food. Delivering undercooked chicken to customers is crazy! Nice to see a place that's open till midnight in Irvine! Many times the only options can be fast food chains but this was a nice option to have. They have lots of draft beers on tap for all the beer lovers, and they have the sports games to give you a sports bar feel. You get almost get a gastropub vibe here. My choices were 15 piece Salt n Pepper, California Rub and Lemon Pepper wings with blue cheese dressing. The wings were all very good! I'm glad it was cooked all the way thru as many wing places sometimes miss that mark. Usually the lemon pepper is my fav flavor but the salt and pepper and California rub were so good I might get those over Lemon Pepper next time. The only thing that was a little annoying was the sound of the seat dragging over cemented floor. It's not effecting the rating here but just a side note. I tried Fire Wings for the first time this past week and ordered their Original Chicken Sandwich. It took about 15 minutes for the food to come out after ordering (it wasn't particularly busy when I got there around 11:30, but it did pick up after noon). The chicken itself wasn't dry at all like some other places and was still crispy, but was fairly bland without the ranch (I was told it was the most popular of their sauces). The wings are solid, not leaps and bound ahead of like wingstop, but man did this place screw us on super bowl. We placed a mobile order, and the mobile ordering told us 30 minutes, wasn't till we arrived that it was an actual 2-hour wait - missed the entire game. And there was no organization, just pandemonium and chaos outside. The employees just kept telling everybody 10 more minutes, and it wasn't until one of the kitchen staff came out and secretly told someone on the side honestly it's not going to be ready for another couple hours. And icing on the cake, they forgot the drink. Lesson learned for next time, going to go to a place that can handle the rush. This place is originated from Sac and has a few locations throughout the Bay so I'm happy to see they opened a location in SoCal! I love Fire Wings because their wings are always crispy yet juicy at the same time regardless if it's saucy or dry rub. The best part of their menu is that on top of their basic flavors, they have Asian inspired flavors as well which I know are really yummy from when I tried it in SJ. At this location I stuck with the basics and chose Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parmesan, and Cajun. Lemon Pepper is mine and my sister's favorite flavor here, I normally don't order this flavor at other wing places but it's so citrusy and crispy here that you can't go wrong with this flavor. Garlic Parmesan has fresh parmesan sprinkled on top of the wings which I always appreciate fresh ingredients. It was my first time trying Cajun and it was good, but there are so many other good flavors here so I would try something else next time. We like to order our wings extra crispy and I would recommend doing this, especially if you're ordering takeout which is what we did after placing an order online. I normally try to not eat at places that I can eat back at home in SJ when I'm traveling but Fire Wings is an exception. Good but not exceptional were the Korean Kick and Peanut Butter. Pretty darn good was the Peking flavor. Exceptional was the Malaysian Curry Rub. It was really one of the best wings that I've had. I give this a 5 stars only because out of American wing places its got to be the top ( korean be a diff market). They're unique in their flavors and have a huge variety beyond basic wing flavors. Compared to other wing places the chicken is juicier not as salty, and a better value. Inside is huge, compared to the norcal location I was used to this definitely was like 3x the side and great for big groups. The workers were all friendly and nice~ Especially wanna applaud how chill they were even though there was a few highschoolers loitering around that left some white powder? on the table without cleaning it :(. I didnt get her name, but both of the female cashiers walked around when free to clean and check up on patrons. The bartender was chatting solid conversation with the solo man sitting at the bar. Bathrooms are clean but a little limited in space. The combo comes with a large soda ( they have those custom movie theater fountains), wings and seasoned fries/fries/ veggie sticks, and a dip. The seasoned fries are just more umami/salty? I suggest mango habanero, salt and pepper, garlic parm, dragon, peanut (spicy) and saigon Street. Their boneless wings tend to stay juicy while the bone in wings may be a little more oily. You don't normally need a dip with their wings because that's just how flavored it is. Some recommendations are to get a ketchup dispenser to save purchasing so many packets and to laminate the wing flavors + prices of combo either in portable menus or in front of the cashier since it can be hard to read tiny font. Very underwhelming! There was a little line when I walked up, however I noticed some empty seats at the bar so I took one. There's a register right next to the beer taps, yet it wasn't being used. I ordered 10 boneless wings with Saigon Street and Thai Chili sauces as well as a regular side of Chili Tots. From ALL the review pictures and menu shots it looked as if their wings would be drenched in sauce, however my boneless ones were hardly coated. I'd say B-dubs puts more sauce on theirs, and that's a pretty low bar. There was a group next to me who got bone-in wings and those looked much more saucy, so maybe that's the move. The tots were meh. Tater tots with hormel canned chili and nacho cheese sauce. Be great if you're drunk... but that brings me to the bar situation. There was no bartender. I had to order my beer with my food, and was not asked for refill or otherwise. There's a pretty decent beer selection too, very disappointing. The one saving grace was the friendly service at the order counter. Guy who took my order informed me to get the combo rather than the individual items I selected, which saved me a couple bucks! Unfortunately, most of the big chain chicken wang places like Buffalo Wild Wings only have okay wings. I didn't know what to expect coming here. Looking at the menu, I felt overwhelmed. So many choices. I needed some guidance. The cashier server helped me narrow down my choices. I went with the Saigon Street wings and the salt and pepper wings. And I'd be foolish not to try the Seasoned fries. I was happy to see a decent selection of beers on tap. I went with the Space Dust. The Saigon Street wings were a perfect mixture of sweet, salty and crispy. The saltiness comes from fish sauce. This is a very common source for saltiness for Asian dishes. I'd definitely order this flavor again. The salt and pepper wings were also crispy and similar to salt and pepper pork chops at a Chinese restaurant. Both flavors of wings went really well with the Space Dust IPA. Next time I'll have to try the spicy flavors. I love heat, but went with the umami flavored wings this time around.
