    Lamb Kebob plate
    Judia L.

Had the lamb kebob plate, large, for take out. Came with all the sauces, white, red, and green. Food was delicious!! Flavorful rice with meat grilled to perfection. Everything came together so well. Though I'm not sure I received the right size for my meal, I ordered the large but my plate seemed small for the price paid.

The food was good. Dry without the sauces but I guess the sauces need to be eaten with the platter. A little pricey but food was good.

My group of 6 came here after walking around the Christmas house decorations in Dyker Heights and the name of this place was no lie. This place was fire. Service was incredible and the food was better. We ordered a large plate of 1/2 Lamb and 1/2 chicken as our entree, an order of the meat sambusa, and an order of fries. The sambusa and fries came first which we ate with the 3 incredible house made sauces. The sambusa was crunchy on the outside and filled with a delicious well seasoned meat on the inside. That paired with the green sauce was delicious. The fries were also great although in the future I'll try either the lentil soup or the Kurma. Lastly the plate, again, was fire. The chicken and lamb were very flavorful and tender, which was a joy to eat. Served on a bed of rice and a salad, it all paired so well together with the juiciness of the meat, the crunch of the salad, and the rice. It all came together for an incredible flavor mixture which was even further expanded upon with the sauces available. Each adding a novel and delicious combination. I'll be back!

I decided to finally give this place a try after eyeing it for quite some time and it definitely did not disappoint. I like how they keep their menu small to really focus on the quality of each item. It also made it easier to decide what to order. We went with the potato sambosa, lamb and beef kabob plates, and the eggplant burani. To start, the potato sambosa had a nice light crispy exterior and the filling was like a well seasoned hash. I can imagine this would be great with a meat filling as well so I'll be sure to try it next time. The lamb and beef plates were great. I would lean towards the lamb a bit more as I found it more tender and juicy, although both were very smoky in flavor. As good as the kabobs were, the rice definitely did not lack either. That rice was so fragrant that I could order that on its own. Lastly the eggplant burani. Reminds me of a baba ganoush except it's served warm and is made with more spices. I actually prefer this over baba ganoush so if you love mashed eggplant I would definitely try this dish. Overall it was a great experience. Food was great, the owner was very welcoming, and I can see myself being a regular here.

This place is good so far. I had the shrimp kebab plate. The rice was very well flavored and the shrimps were juicy and grilled to perfection. And very delicious. I will be stopping by again soon.

It was around 4:30pm and when we arrived, it was empty which was perfect for us. Space is big and spacious and their tables, plating, and decor really stood out to me. Seemed fancier than other Chinese restaurants! Ordered a variety of dishes and they were all really large portions and well-prepared. None were overly salty or sweet, just right. My favorite was their chicken, eggplant and salted fish claypot dish. It's one of my favorite dishes in general and they made it very well. The meal includes geoduck sashimi, jellyfish & mixed appetizer, soup, steamed fish, crab & lobster with sticky rice, abalone, steamed shrimp, noodles, and veggies. Some dishes were bigger than others. Both times I came they didn't have abalone so we substitute the dish for garlic scallop (which I prefer). The menu also says it comes with house special dessert but we never gotten any. For any seafood, it's market price plus they add a 30% processing fee, which is strange to me. For a Chinese restaurant which usually does not charge tax if you pay with cash, they charge tax here whether you pay by card or cash. The restaurant is pretty big and spacious. They have pretty large tables, suitable for parties and celebrations. There's a private space upstairs with 3 large tables for parties. The restaurant is pretty slow in the afternoon.

Rude hostess/manager. Seems to overbook and makes you wait 30-40 minutes even with reservation…read more I want to preface that this review post is not related to our actual server but instead with the hostess/manager. We made a reservation about a month in advance for a party of 16 which was confirmed by the restaurant. As we were on our way to the restaurant, they called us asking if we were really going to be a party of 16 which we thought was odd. We get to the restaurant and I let the hostess know that we were there for the 5pm reservation and it was about 5:05. She said that the table is still not ready. Then about a few minutes later the manager comes over and says it'll be about 2 more minutes. At this point it's about 5:15. Then the manager comes back over and says we're getting your table ready outside (which also was set up outside where it was no longer part of the actual restaurant which makes no sense) - it's much cooler outside than it is inside - does he think I'm stupid or naive? It's literally sweltering outside at around 90 degrees meanwhile indoors it's air conditioned. At this point I'm starting to get very annoyed as I see the hostess and the manager conversing with each other and then glaring back at me especially the hostess giving me nasty looks. Her job is in customer service - if she doesn't like her job then don't work there and maybe do a better job at managing reservations. Then the manager comes to me and points to the room behind the hostess stand and proceeds to tell me that the table is reserved for a party of 30 and in my head I'm like I literally made a reservation a month ago. He tells me that if we want to sit inside we have to wait 30 minutes - seriously? They definitely overbooked and didn't know how to handle the situation. Then he comes over to tell me that they have a table but they need it back in 1.5 hours and I said fine - so dumb because if they had originally given us the table at 5 we would've been out of there by 7 but instead we didn't get done til close to 7:30 because of their ineptitude. As it's nearing 7pm the manager comes over and asks how everything is and unfortunately one of our party guests still didn't have his meal - guess they forgot to put the order in so that also took longer - they needed us to get out by 7 to turn the table over. After a while the manager comes back and says to us "Are you happy now?" What is that supposed to mean? If you're going to ask like that then NO. This is absolutely unacceptable. Then as I walk out of the restaurant I see the party that must've had the reservation at 7pm go "oh this must be the party." Yea you can thank the manager for your late seating. We will definitely not be returning as this was terrible experience and the food wasn't even that great. After reading another yelp review from 5 years ago, it seems like nothing has changed with the hostess/manager and reservation seating.
