This was a great experience for my friends and I as we all didn't have to choose a restaurant with 1 cuisine. This restaurant is sort of like a hibachi place where you put what you want in a bowl and then they cook it on the grill for you. The variety was huge from several different types of pasta, noodles, rice, vegetables, sauces, etc. You can basically have every cuisine in 1 sitting if you wanted. It was unlimited per person also. First I got pasta made with bow tie pasta, several veggies and a mixture of Alfredo and marinara sauce. It was really good! I then made a mixture of lomein noodles and vegetable fried rice which was also good. I love spicy food and there was a variation of different spices to use as well! We all were happy we chose to go here! read more

FIRE = Huge round grill upstairs ICE = All the booze! And uh. The ice surrounding the food items keeping it cold I've been here several times: the more I come here, the more reasons I find to not to in the future. Food is served in a buffet-manner: You are able to pick out what you want from meats, seafood, vegetables, noodles, fruits, sauces and spices. The sauces range from sweet to spicy to somewhere in between, with little cups lingering to sample them before having the chefs mix it all in for you. You are allowed one bowl each time you go up. After you're satisfied with your selection, you bring it up to the massive grill area, stand, wait, and watch as your food is prepared by the chefs. PROS: - Great place to come to if you're with a larger group. It's always entertaining to see what the chefs are going to do to prepare the food. They're particularly fancy with hamburger buns. - For birthdays, they'll make everyone around the grill sing happy birthday to you. Consequence: No singing? No food. - Also, for birthdays, they'll occasionally let the birthday guy/girl behind the grill to cook. - College kids get an awesome discount on Monday nights for $9.95. Bring your ID! - Great alcohol selection. Don't see what you want on the menu? No worries, more likely than not, they can whip it up. My friends ordered both the Fire Bowl and the Ice bowl which they enjoyed - While waiting, they can shoot you a text to alert when the table is ready. - The ability to customize what you eat is pretty awesome. I always stock up on the seafood: more expensive! - If you're a vegetarian/vegan or have a food allergy, tell the chefs, and they'll bring it to the back where they will cook it for you. - After you're done with your plate, leave it on the table. By the time you get back from round 2 (or 3!), it should be gone. - Our waiter was very attentive, was seen often, and made sure that we were happy with everything. CONS: - The wait can be crazy long! Even with a reservation for a designated time, there's still limited seating space, and therefore, you can be waiting for a while: Example, we had a reservation for 8:00 and didnt get seated until 8:30. - The waiting area, downstairs, is awful. A lot of the tables/chairs were taken up, and people were found cluttered near the doorway either standing or sitting awkwardly on the floor - Parking, like anywhere else in the city, is awful. I happened to be in luck and found a spot right outside of Fire and Ice - The salad area and salad dressing selection is pretty weak. - If it's not a Monday night, and you're not a college student, paying $17 is a bit too pricey for the quality of food you're receiving - Watching the chefs scrape all the gunk from the grill, then spraying it with tons of oil, as well as watching a guy remove the dirty dishes without gloves, gives me the heebie-jeebies. - There is no guarantee that whatever food you choose will still remain yours by the time it's finished cooking! I've found stray pieces of pepper and missing pieces of bacon from my meal! - There is also no guarantee that your food will get cooked to perfection. When I got back to my seat after waiting for 10 minutes at the grill, my potatoes tasted far from being done. - They automatically add on an 18% gratuity to your bill if you have a large party. - The seating is so cramped! Each person would have to weigh like, 110lbs to fit comfortably in the area we were in - which is impossible after eating so much at Fire and Ice! - Their Fondue plate sucks. Don't get it. SUMMARY For an entertaining night with a good group of people, Fire and Ice is a great place to go to. With enough alcohol in your system, anything can make you feel like you're having the time of your life. Otherwise, save your $17 and go elsewhere, which would leave you with a happy stomach and more money in your wallet. read more

If you want typical Mongolian BBQ, stay away from this place. For those who do not know what that is, here's a brief synopsis. Grab a bowl, go through a food bar and put all the items into the bowl. First, the meats or seafood. Traditionally the meats are shaved thinly, often still slightly frozen to preserve freshness. There should be pork, beef, chicken, lamb. Some places have shrimp, fish, and others. Then you add all the veggies such as cabbage, onion, celery, carrots, etc. Finally, there is a plethora of spices and sauces. There are usually recipes posted for the novice. Fresh ginger and garlic usually in water. Soy, oyster, hoisin, and many more. Then you go to the cooking station where your bowl gets emptied and all is quickly stir fried by chefs who wield two giant round sticks with which they toss the food up in the air. The process is pretty fast. Fast forward to Fire & Ice. The place is a very venue, attractive, and our waitress, Cece was a doll. (That's why I actually gave it three stars rather than one.) I was instructed to put the the sauces in a separate bowl. When I looked at the meat available, I was immediately disappointed. There was a supply of shaved beef, but it looked sorry. Most of the other meats had already been marinated in diverse flavors with Mexican or Italian leanings. And they were fairly large chunks. In the veggie section, I missed regular cabbage. The bok choy bowl was almost empty. I did finally find some carrots in the salad section. Now to the spices. I found only a couple that appealed to me. Most sauces appeared to be the type you put on after cooking. (Unfortunately that did not clue me in!) I then proceeded to pick a few including fresh garlic and ginger. Now to the cooking. The chef took the bowl and spread the food out lengthwise with the meat toward the center of the donut shaped cooking service. There it sat and sat. Rather than huge sticks, they used two spatulas. The food was occasionally flipped and finally my spices were added and within 60 seconds all was plated. As a result of this cooking method, I ended up with overcooked, tough beef, almost raw vegetables with raw garlic and ginger. Veggies need some liquid to cook, take more time. Meat, especially beef, cooks quickly and does better dry, so it doesn't boil. I have to add that our server offered a new bowl which I declined. As a clarification, it is only the sauces, not the dry spices or things like garlic and ginger that should go in the separate bowl. That was my misunderstanding of the instructions. If you are not set on Asian flavors, this place might actually please you. Amendment as of 03/03/2015: I was impressed by a note from the management team of this restaurant inquiring if they could make our less than stellar experience up to us. Now that's great customer service! Thank you, Zach! read more

I've eaten at this restaurant since it opened in 1997. The service is attentive, the food is salivating, and it's an overall great experience whether you're out with friends or family. The best advice I can give you is to bring your stomach. That is, be hungry to take advantage of the all-you-can-eat buffet price and to go the grill more than once. I suggest you start with salad. Then, when you're ready, load the bowl with veggies or pastas on the bottom and meats on top, pick one or more sauces (I like the teriyaki), and watch your meal being made. read more

I returned for a FRIDAY NIGHT, and found my service FUN & FLAWLESS! FOOD: All You C.an Eat...Everything... Meat, Fish, Vegetables, Fruit, Bread, Rice. Make a stir-fry, a burger, a burrito, or all 3! SERVICE: Our waitress checked back with us every other time she passed by, so we wanted for absolutely nothing. Our cooks let us do a Cheese Toss at the grill, offering us a Free Desert if it landed on our burger. They joked with us all & the cooking time flew by. NOTE: We did not know where to stand at the grill. Should we stand at the beginning? Is it a line? Eventually, a staff member guided us to the middle. I saw MANY customers struggling uncomfortably with this. SUGGESTION: Post a SIGN at the grill entrance, encouraging customers to join the circle anywhere. THE DEAL: Since it's All You Can Eat, LUNCH is the BEST DEAL, as it's cheaper. BUT...I don't think the Lunch atmosphere is as much fun as the dinner one. read more

I'm not a hibachi fan, so didn't come in with high expectations. I can't say I was disappointed in the overall experience since this met my low expectations, but I thought my meal was just so so. They have a few different stations- one for vegetables and proteins (chicken, red meat, etc), one for vegetables and seafood, one for sauces, and one straight up salad bar. You grab a bowl and fill it with whatever ingredients you want them to stir fry together on The Grill (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/fire-ice-boston?select=eslq-CSJFLZdKkVHNd-oBg#eslq-CSJFLZdKkVHNd-oBg). They don't have a consistent process- sometimes there is someone to direct you where to go at the grill, sometimes you just find an empty spot to wait at. My first plate was a Customized Noodle Plate (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/fire-ice-boston?select=Lyz-bKo4IfGyjDedfKvl0w#Lyz-bKo4IfGyjDedfKvl0w), and that was ok but managed to be on the bland side even though I had a cup full of sauce that they used. The worst part was that my proteins were super overcooked and extremely dry, but there was barely any flavor. It is a good deal for lunch though, since it was only $10.99 for all you can eat. However, since it takes time to keep grabbing ingredients to make your dish, then having to wait for an open spot at the grill, then waiting for them to cook your food (takes about 10 mins), you get full pretty quickly. They have a small selection of fruit for dessert, or you can opt for ice cream and access to their toppings bar. It cost $4.99 for 2 scoops of ice cream and unlimited toppings. You can choose from Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate, Cookies n Cream, Coffee for your ice cream. I liked the Cookies n Cream, but not really the Coffee. Toppings included: Rainbow Sprinkles, Chocolate Fudge, Caramel, Marshmallow Fluff, Whipped Cream, Cherries, Crushed: Butterfingers, Oreo Cookies, Reese's Pieces. I probably wouldn't order the ice cream again, but then again, I wouldn't come back to Fire & Ice either (I just really don't like hibachi!). The worst part about eating here is that you smell like stir-fry after. Our server was nice at least, and very informative. Parking in this area is difficult during work hours, and parking spots downtown are pricey and limited. read more

Fire & Ice is a great interactive eatery. My recommendations and observations are as follows. Best time to go is opening on Sunday, that way you get Brunch. It is $15.99 per person all you can eat. Drinks, Desserts & Appetizers are ala crate. It's also not to crowded. At Fire & Ice the Place is clean, Staff is friendly and helpful, & Prices are on Par. This is a 2 floor Restaurant with a Bar on the first floor and the eatery grill on the second floor. Fire & Ice is wheelchair accessible wheel right in. there is a very small rickety old elevator to get to the restaurant floor. My Observations are this: Get there early at opening. This place can fill up quickly. Go with a group of people who are Adventurous "No Duds Allowed" Food is Fresh but changes daily. if eating here for lunch don't expect higher ticket meats like Steak, Shrimp, Crab that kind of thing those are reserved for the Dinner crowd. Prices are as such: Sunday Brunch $15.99, Dinner $18.99 Drinks Soda & Coffee $2.50 free refills. Fire & Ice is a great place to eat for the adventurous foodies out there... One of the places where you would just go for the experience but not the taste and quality of food. They have redefined hibachi but clearly fail with their hospitality. Space - Tables are cramped! There is no space to walk within the restaurant. Even their staff cant walk clear and hits your table now and then. Also, the tables are wobbly! Hospitality - The restaurant really needs to step up on their staff. We had to wait 15 minutes to get a glass of water and another 15 to get our drinks which were terrible. One of my friends had an allergy. His meal was prepared separate (Which is amazing !!!) the person who got it to our table just walked by slid it on the table and walked without acknowledging it! Cooking - They really don't do much with your food! The Chef who cooked my meal never did anything, just threw it on the hot pan, let it sit, gave it a little mix and it was done. Cutlery: The bowls on my table had water spots on it, knives were sticky, there were no napkins on the table. It took me 10 minutes to find someone to help me get another set. Plates have cracks and so do your water glasses. Good for Students on a Monday night for $10, but I would not go again to pay the full price. A one time experience, but that's about it. read more

I'm not sure how to really feel about this place. The best way I can describe it is Dave & Busters (décor) meets Benihana (concept). In theory, this place is fun- but I ended up not really satisfied with my food. And it felt like the fun of a sit down restaurant (leaving the work of creating and cooking a dish to the establishment) is kind of blurred here. After being seated, you are given a large white bowl. You are instructed to gather meats, starches, veggies, and a cup of sauce from buffet style stations. After gathering your ingredients, you bring it over to the cooking area. At first I thought I could be super creative, and really make something tailored to what I like, but as mentioned before- I wasn't happy with what I chose (and quickly realized I'd be a terrible chef). For the creation part of this dining experience, I really wish they offered some guidance- perhaps some recipe ideas and suggestions posted around the buffet stations. Once you head over to the giant cooking area, knowing what to do next was hectic and super confusing. My friends and I went on a Sunday night, and the area around the cooking area was packed. We ended up just kind of standing around, not knowing what to do. There really should be one person stationed there to help people find a spot. Once you do get a spot, you wait for the cook to take your food. At any other hibachi style restaurant, there is some entertainment to go along with watching them cook. This is lost at Fire + Ice. There are no tricks, nothing that makes you go "oooh" and "ahh". It was so lackluster, I left my food with my friends to go sit down at our table- because there was literally nothing to see. All I remember is the cooks yelling at each other, playing fighting here and there, and talking sassy to guests. All things I can see on a NYC subway ride. Boring. The two saving graces were awesome giant drinks and an ice cream sundae bar. Despite not being thrilled overall, I would go back if it was with friends. Now that I understand the layout and flow of things, I might be happier the second time around. read more

Made reservations for two for my birthday. The online reservation request asked if I needed anything special and I simply replied that I would be celebrating my birthday. When I got there, it wasnt crowded but the hostess sat me at a raggedy table right next to a couple who was eating. She tells me that my server will be with me in a moment. I noticed the leather seats were torn/busted wide open and dingy looking, so my partner asked if I wanted to move our seat away from the couple and to a better seat- I declined ( I was hungry). Mind you, as we are debating over the seating, the hostess and the waitress are over in the corner looking lost and confused as to why we are stalling. No one comes over to ask if everything is alright, are we happy with our seats, this special request could have kicked in, but no.. Once we sat in the crappy seats is when she decides to come over to ask about our drinks. Mind you, the last time I came to this funky restaurant ( several years ago), I promised to NEVER come back because they had horrible food back then. But hey, it was my birthday and they offered a free meal. There were hardly any decent selections. The fish tasted like dirt. They had 100 bowl of bullcrap (pineapples, peas, garlic, sausages, frozen baby fake meatballs, PRE COOKED wing dings, shrimp that shrivels into nothing once the heat touches it- ALOT of WHACKNESS). Anyways.. It was a free meal. I got noodles, shrimp, broccoli with pineapples and some funky, spicy korean sauce. The server constantly came to the table asking if we needed anything? She see I'm boo'd up, tryna set the mood and everything, but she was blocking and all up in our face. It's one thing to check in on your guests, its another to borderline stalk/harass. Am I being rushed? Is your shift over? Whats going on here? Terrible service. Terrible food. Stank atmosphere. Just NEVER AGAIN!!! Forreal this time. I knew betta! They did have these garlic creamy butter cubes which I thought was cool. I was too mad and dissatisfied to go make another plate, so I didnt try it, but it looked aight. Thats why I gave a 1 star. read more

Sigh I really don't get when people review a place knowing fully well it is not their type of atmosphere or type of food for that matter. Thats like If I went to review a womens only gym and gave it crappy reviews because they would not accept men. Yes I'm talking about everyone that reviewed this place poorly. Every review read was barking at the college atmosphere or the way they cook the food. Granted I don't like college students either despite being one, but this place screams college students all over it, its pretty obvious. If you know what your doing at this place, it can make for some good food and flavor combos. Of course if you don't know what your doing, chances are you will probably hate this place. If you don't like the idea of having your food sit next to someone else while its cooking, then no not for you. If you don't like stir fry, no way is this for you. If you have severe allergies to anything (although I do with shrimp, but I never had issues), then no way is this for you. But if you like custom stir fry, your willing to wait 10 minutes per bowl, and like buffets, then this is the place for you. Its getting 3 stars, not 2 or 1, because it targets the audience they are going for, yet not a 4 or 5 because I'll admit they do not accommodate for everyone walking in. read more

Some coworkers and I were really excited to try this place out when we heard they had $2 taco Tuesday's. We called ahead to see if there were any time limits and if we could take it to go and they said it was all day and of course we could do take out. There was a sign that advertised it would be quick so we thought we made a great lunch time decision. Boy were we wrong. The woman who was the bartender/waitress was rude and took forever to get us menus and take our order at the bar. We asked again to confirm that we could take it to go and she confirmed we could. After putting our order in we waited 30+ min and still no tacos. We had ordered 8 of them and the guy behind the bar was assembling them there quickly - for everyone else. People coming in after us were getting served before us and the bartender continued to ignore us. We ended up cancelling our order and going to get something down the hall. If you don't want to serve the deal for take out then don't. And that is no reason to be more than unpleasant to customers. We will Most definitely not be returning for this place or Fire and Ice since the staff serves both. read more

I don't know what if is about this place, but I love it. I think it's the idea of a buffet because buffets have a little special place in my heart. I think it's knowing that I'm stuffing my face, but it's okay because so is everybody else. Yay! I love lunches because no one's really there so I can just eat to my heart's content and not so many people will be in the way. I love dousing my food in the sauces that probably carry more calories in a single drop than the quarter cup of oil they use to fry your food. Ooo... I know that as I'm getting older, I should be watching my weight since my metabolism is slowing down, but man! I just can't get myself to do it when I get here! I personally think that it's an awesome place to bring kids because they love picking out all the junk that they wanna eat and nothing makes me happier than bringing people from out of town and seeing their faces light up when they see that huge grill! Don't tell anyone, but deep down, it makes me a bit excited too. read more

Meh... I was unimpressed with the quality of food and for the quantity I eat I will not come back unless forced by friendship celebration or being out voted by a group. I'm one who follows portion control so for me that means I actually want quality not quanity. Noodles with broccoli, vegetables and sauce for almost $30 dollars not including alcohol we could have done a lot better considering the area. I'll be making the group reservations if this place comes up as an option again. To their credit, the staff are nice and they do have a gluten free menu but that isn't enough. I think the ice has finally sizzle the fire! read more

Thank you for treating veterans nicely. I enjoyed the experience. It was pretty unusual and fun. In the beginning it was a little overwhelming, have to think fast about the combinations of what you are going to mix. I had 2 servings of whatever I mixed. The first one was great, second was meh. 2 guys - cooks were rocking. As it was getting busier I was feeling compassionate for them: hot grilling job on the line while being on the attention spot for hours. What would be great: if they had suggestions of combos. I think the place like that definitely deserves attention. But whether you are going to like it or not is pretty suggestive. read more

There's nothing spectacular as far as food and its flavor go. I really like their concept. And I find it really fun. Although I am Japanese and don't eat big and fast like Takeru Kobayashi, I am still a big eater. Hence this place serve my need and descent taste. Also, I really like their sauce bar. This is a casual place to dine, and can be fun if you're with large parties having a celebration. Beware - there can be long wait times due to the one grill and sometimes limited workers. The food isn't amazing and I wish they offered a wider variety of sauces, but it will fill you up with no complaints and their brunch options on the weekend (pancakes, waffles, and omelettes before 3 pm) are yummy and fresh. Try the shaved steak and lemon garlic sauce as a pair! read more

Food and service were great. Just one thing skeeved me out. When at the buffet, a couple dropped the tongs for noodles on the floor. They said nothing and put the tongs back in the noodles. I took it upon myself to let a worker know and luckily no one ate those contaminated noodles with the dirty tongs. I can't imagine how many times this happens and gets left unsaid. My advice is to have a designated worker monitoring the buffet station at all times in the event this happens, and maybe changing the utensils out every few uses just to be safe. You don't know if other people are as sanitary as you are. Maybe stringing the utensil to the dish would be helpful to avoid it dropping or even cross-contamination. Luckily I was there in that moment. read more

I feel as if I should be more snobbish about Fire & Ice, but I just can't be. $17 all you can eat buffet with decent quality ingredients cooked to order. That's not a bad thing. Definitely a MAN's place. All you can eat meat....mmmmmm. Good for a Group of GUys. The concept is pretty unique. I'll give em that much. You go and pack a bowl with pasta, meat, seafood and give it to a chef that cooks it for you basically in front of you. Overall, the food is A-OK but nothing more than that. It's up to you to be creative about what sauces to put on your meat and whether to put it over rice or pasta. What makes my rating a two, however, is the service. TERRIBLE. 1. I hate waiting. So sometimes the wait for the chef to cook your food is RIDICULOUSLY long because everyone goes at the same time. 2. The Chef Burned my food because he was too busy mingling with some of the other customers 3. The Waitress overcharged us and then the manager had to come and he had to debate the fact that the waitress charged us for 18 people when there was clearly 16... and yada yada yada. There are two locations in Boston, the one near Harvard and this one on Berkeley and St. James in Boston. Both are about the same experience wise. It's almost hibachi style dining except you stand and watch them cook your food and then go back to your table. An extensive selection of noodles, meats, seafoods, burgers, salad. You're paying $19 for buffet style, but you're leaving full from good quality food. So many combos of meats/noodles/sauces, you will tap out before you try them all. Udon noodles with chicken and shrimp plus some fajita sauce? My stuff right there. I find the guys working the grill here to be far more interactive than the one near Harvard. I can think of one guy in particular who is loud and fun. Love it when he works. This spot has a slightly different layout with a bar downstairs at the entrance and the actual dining area up a flight of stairs. Not sure if there's an elevator at this one (there's not at the other), but there are bathrooms on both floors. Servers are as attentive as you want them to be. That ranges from not at all to a decent amount of visibility. Delicious deserts and drinks, well worth the visit for the good food alone. They had an offer for a free app and dessert with the purchase of 2 entrees. Done! Turtle cheesecake? I made room in my stomach for that and gladly waddled out after. :) read more

Closest thing they had to mongolian grill plus they offered a brunch including eggs, crepes and a ton of other stuff. Don't splash all the sauce on your food before its grilled. Our server was running around like a chicken with his head cut off but he was just so darn nice you can't help but like the guy. Poor thing, he was so busy. I love the concept of this restaurant. You create your own plate, choosing from meats, grains, seafood, vegetables and seasonings. It pains me to say this but I was pretty disappointed in my visit here. I came here 8 years ago with a friend and it was literally THE COOLEST restaurant I had ever been to! I loved it so much I even started referring to it as the "best restaurant in the world." I've been raving about it for years, especially since there were never any near me, which made me want it even more. Granted my first visit was to the other location (not the one I'm reviewing) but still...you expect consistency, right? All I can say is don't bring anyone here if you plan on talking to them. I visited Boston for 24 hours to see a former dance student of mine perform in the Radio City Rockette show, and we went here after the show for dinner. Not only was the music SUPER loud, but it seemed like everyone at every table around us was drunk and screaming! Granted it was a Saturday night, yes I understand that, but this was semi-out of control. I especially don't recommend bringing kids here. At least my former student is 14, so she didn't seem too phased by it, but I certainly didn't appreciate having to shout to be heard. Also, the food wasn't nearly as good as I remembered! I'm still a big fan of the concept - put all your own meat, veggies& sauce together and watch it grill on the world's biggest Hibachi - but it just didn't deliver like I remembered. Maybe I should have gone to the other location, but given other Yelp reviews, it seems like this place has really changed in the last 10 years, which is too bad. It really used to be awesome. And don't go here if you don't like singing Happy Birthday AT LEAST 5-6 times per night, because that's what you're forced to do while standing at the Grill waiting for your food. At least 4 of those people were lying. Really, when I think about it, this place really only deserves 2 Stars. I guess I'm just giving it 3 for the benefit of its legacy in my own head, which I'm still having trouble letting go of... read more

The food is very good, but the drinks are overpriced. My last waitress wasn't the best, but she got dealt with accordingly. The burgers are surprisingly awesome! read more

We had our end of the year senior high school trip on Tuesday May 31,2022 in your Boston location.I wanted to express some concerns that our group encountered. I just wanted to bring these issues up because each above point was very frustrating and quite frankly avoidable. We really enjoyed your food concept and the kids had fun but at this point I would not be recommending this restaurant to next year's group. The manager at the Boston location was not very helpful and did not want to take the time to help rectify any of the above situations which was unfortunate. We made a reservation for a party of 71 for 6pm. Our point person who made this reservation was asked a few months ago if we could change our time to a 6:30 arrival of which we told them via email that this change simply was not possible since we are doing back to back events. We arrived for a 6pm check in and were told our reservation was moved to 6:30 after speaking with the manager and showing him our confirmation email for 6pm he simply said well it's 6:30 in the system so it needs to stay at 6:30 - definitely a  very frustrating start. We luckily were seated by 6:20 so it did not impact our next event all that much. We had purchased your platinum package with a description of ice cream with topping for $33.00 per student. The ice cream was a very ungenerous scoop and no topping accompanied the ice cream. It wasn't until one of our chaperones asked if we were getting toppings did they appear. The topping appeared 20 minutes after the ice cream was served and obviously none of our students were able to put them on their ice cream because at this point all the ice cream was eaten.Again spoke to the manager who then confirmed with the general manager and were given the information that we had to pay for the premium package regardless of toppings or not. Disappointing to pay for something that you did not get. Lastly when I went to pay for the bill the staff insisted that I had to pay for the original booking of 71 students. We had 62 guests upon arrival. Several students had to drop out last minute due to illness ect. I again questioned this and was told that there is a 48 hour cancellation policy and I had to pay for the original booking amount. They handed me the receipt for the 71 students. It wasn't until we reached our final destination that I noticed as I was paying for our final event that they did go in and correct the charge to reflect the 62 students. read more

My daughter and I were so hungry after walking Boston in the extreme heat. We are not from the area and had no idea where to eat. We looked up restaurants near Newbury St where we had been shopping and this restaurant looked interesting. Had no idea what to expect. Well, it was great! All you can eat - you fill your bowl from the many options of foods (steak, chicken, seafood, burgers, hot dogs, different types of noodles, rices, veggies), choose from a wide array of sauces (asian, italian, etc) and they cook it right in front of you on this huge grill. They also have a salad bar. Then you can go back and get more bowls as much as you like. The drinks looked delicious and were huge. Definitely a fun, different way to do dinner! All for $25pp! Highly recommend but go hungry! read more

I took a group of 7 women here on a Friday night for a bachelorette party and they all loved it. While the bride to be waited for her food at the grill, the staff sang "Going to the chapel" at her. If you haven't been to Fire and Ice before, actually listen when the staff takes you on a tour to show you how to bring your food to the grill. DO NOT pour your sauce on your meal because those of us in the know will laugh at your burned mess. Fire and Ice is a fun place for something out of the ordinary, but still a casual atmosphere. read more
