I've come here for brunch I had the chicken and waffles you have the option for wings or boneless and a couple of different sauces. I went for the wings but those were a disappointment as they were super tiny not even big enough to call wong dings and I asked for hot honey and got sweet chili. My friend got the same but boneless and i don't know if he had chocolate waffles or regular cuz they looked over done they weren't cihocolate lol. They had scrambled eggs that either came out first or last because they forgot we added another. Our server wasn't as attentive as he should have been, My other friend had the biskoff french toast and it sounded good but he also said nothing to rave home about. I'm done. This restaurant used to have great food, but unfortunately it's no longer the case. The time before this I had to literally toss the food. My husband went out tonight with his friends and I decided to give it another shot and I wish I hadn't. Charging $17 for wings like this is ridiculous. The sauce was literally just thick honey, with the lightest tasting jerk seasoning I've ever had. The chicken was extremely dry. At this point, it would be better to remove the item from the menu than to diminish your brand by serving low-quality food. I went to Fete in Boston and had a really good time! We ordered meatballs, BBQ chicken wings, Rasta pasta, fries, and the burger which, by the way, came in a briefcase. When it arrived, we were confused at first, but then they opened it up, and it was full of smoke and lights. Such a cool presentation! The burger itself was juicy, and the bread was toasted perfectly. For drinks, I had the St. Patrick's Day special margarita and a mango margarita, both were good, but the mango one was my favorite. They do offer Tapas options. The vibe was exactly my kind of scene. They played dancehall and Afro beats, which I love. If you sit toward the back of the restaurant, you can really feel the music. We started back there and loved it, but our group ended up growing, so we had to move to the front. The music isn't as loud up front, but it was still a good time. Our server was friendly and overall patient with us, especially with the seating shuffle. There's street parking around, but it looks like it might be tough to find a spot, so I recommend parking in a nearby garage instead. Customer service was friendly and overall good, though I did ask for my wings "wet" (extra sauce), and they came out dry. A group of friends and I came here recently for a sort of afterparty, after playing darts at Flight Club. It came together really quickly and we did not have a reservation, but I was so grateful to our host, Mina, for taking the time to look through the reservation log and figure out where they could squeeze us in. Fete had a lot of bookings that night, but Mina and our server Alexis accommodated our large party, which made the birthday girl happy! We express ordered since we only had an hour at the table, but that worked! LOL. The jerk lamb and teriyaki wings were great, as were the cocktails, which came out quickly. The waitress was kind and answered all of my questions as it was my first time. Now what you've been waiting for the meal review. The food here was the best food we've had in Boston. Everything was delicious. The biscuits were crispy yet fluffy, sweet yet salty, and perfectly warm. I got the jerk chicken bowl and my partner got the Rasta pasta and both were incredible. So flavorful and delicious. We each got a cocktail that was tasty as well. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Our only little bit of disappointment was that the coconut cream donuts were not filled with coconut cream at all. They were still very tasty but we did wonder where the cream was. We might have opted for the butter cake instead if we had known there would be no cream in the donuts. But, you live and you learn. The service was wonderful from top to bottom. Everyone was attentive and friendly. Our waiter recommended the jerk chicken bowl to me and I'm so glad they did. It was a highlight of our trip. The table we were at was a bit loud as it was very close to the speakers, but it wasn't ear splitting. I would suggest if you want a more quiet vibe, to sit in the front of the restaurant rather than the back. But the back is definitely more fun if you don't mind the noise. Overall an extremely enjoyable experience and a much needed food win for us on this trip. If it wasn't for Fete, I would have deemed Boston's food scene to be severely lacking. We were here on a Friday evening around 7 and the place was empty. We know this place is known for its late night beats, but we were here to check out their "appy hour" (half off appetizers until 8pm). We got pretty much everything on the menu. And my god the food did not disappoint. The lamb jerk chops - a little spicy but that jerk sauce - yum. The meatballs did steal the show. The seasoning was just perfect. We got two rounds of wings, our favourite were the Hennessy flavoured ones. The drinks were also nice, they have a decent menu of unique mixes. The service was fast, friendly and attentive. The general manager also made the effort to come check in on us. The music was bumpin and it did start to get busy later around 9-10pm. Good music, great people, and delicious food. I visited Fete in Boston for a friends birthday dinner. We had a very large party (about 24 people), so they sat us in the back room. I was surprised to see the food come out as quickly as it did having only one waitress. She was great. The lamb chops were AMAZING. The boulet (fried Haitian meatballs) tasted just like they were made in my mom's kitchen: delicious. Unfortunately, the fried pork was a bit dry and came with a lot of fat that could have been trimmed off. Around 10pm, the music got louder and it was Kompa night. Another great spot if you're visiting Boston. The ambience is very welcoming. There is a dj in the restaurant and after 9 o'clock, it turns into a sort of lounge where people are free to dance and just hang out by the bar. Was debating whether I should write a review of this place or not since me and my friend came here for the lounge part instead of the restaurant part. We got here at around 11pm on a Saturday night. Apparently this restaurant turns into a lounge during late hours. One of my friends was hungry so they offered us a late night menu, which with all honestly was very limited. She opted for their chicken wings (unfortunately I did not get a picture of it). She didn't really liked them, she stated they were on the salty side. The main thing I can review about Fete is the lounge part. I really enjoyed their music as it was very diverse ranging from rap, dancehalls, throwback and Afro beats. The place is not very big and on that Saturday night I think it was very packed in there and at times it was hard for me to make my way to the bathroom due to the amount of people standing around. We decided to get some drinks from the bar, which had a good selection. The average for a drinks was around 18$ which I guess is very common around Boston. This has has to be the best restaurant I visited this year. The staff were great from the start with the security who checked my ID upon arrival. I was seated immediately for my 7:30 reservation. From outside I was not expecting the restaurant to be spacious and aesthetically pleasing. I believe there were two bars and I loved the red lighting. There were tevelsions and a dj. From reading other reviews I was worried the music would be extremely loud, however, I was to carry normal dinner conversation. The music selections ranged with a cool mellow vibe until about 9pm. That's when I notice a shift in music which was pop/hip hop. People started singing to the music so it appeared loud but honestly was a vibe! I feel like my table ordered the whole left side of the menu! The tapas were so good we a second round. My favorite was the honey garlic shrimp which was sweet, spicy, and had nice char on the shrimp. Not far behind was the salt and pepper shrimp calamari. This dish crunky and flavorful. I was completed amazed by the vegetable ragoon. Jerk Lamb Chops were tender and juicy. The jerk flavor was good with a manageable spice level. Itwas just enough to be jerk without being overbearing. Crab cakes were delicious. I appreciated the amount of sauce that was provided. Our waitress Steph was patient and made great recommendations. I was there celebrating a friend's birthday. Just when I thought my waitress forgot about the birthday celebration the music changed to a birthday song proceeded by the staff making an entrance with a birthday dessert as if it were bottle service. The experience had clear highs when it came to the food, but several service issues left a less-than-great impression. The Jerk Chicken bowl I ordered was flavorful, well-seasoned, and satisfying, though I do wish there had been more rice. Sadly, we had moment of us all placing in an order at the same time to then have our server bring out our meals expect for one, because they can't make what she'd ordered. So we had to waiting for her to get her meal in order for all of us to eat. Overall, My friends enjoyed their wings, truffle fries, and salad--everything was delicious and well-prepared. The ambience was stylish and lively, though a bit loud and dim. We arrived around 10:20 PM, just before the kitchen closed at 10:45, and felt rushed to order. As the night went on, the space shifted into a more nightlife-type vibe--not ideal if you're looking for a relaxed dinner. Service was the biggest downside. While our server was kind, she was slow and inattentive. We waited too long for water and to receive our check. Given the automatic 20% gratuity, the service fell short--but they did remove the charge upon request. We also had an uncomfortable incident with the payment. My friend used her phone to pay for the bill. As we assumed we were all set, we were then surrounded by multiple staff, including security (protocol we understood) entailing that the card declined with no proof of a transaction on my friend's phone. In that case, we will be inquiring a receipt from the restaurant to state the transaction that supposedly states a decline. Otherwise, the tone and delivery felt unnecessarily aggressive. One female staff member in particular was rude and judgmental in how she looked at us, despite us being calm and cooperative. It was disappointing, especially since some of the staff seemed intoxicated, which is unacceptable during customer-facing duties. The issue was resolved, but the way it was handled felt unprofessional and accusatory. Despite this, I'd still recommend Fete for the food and vibe--just be mindful of the service and late-night transitions. Do not go I have been wanting to go here for maybe over a year because of their advertised $1 oysters on Thursday's. Went in around 5pm to get half a dozen and one drink, I didn't leave until 6pm... It took them 40+ mins to shuck 6 oysters and the only two people in the restaurant were me and another woman. Other than that plenty of staff walking around. I asked the bartender where the oysters were from and got the response "I don't know" refused to try to find that information and said assumed they were from the wellfeeet area. Welll let me tell you i've had plenty of cape cod oysters and this was not it... and if it was they were months old.... The oysters were in the worst condition i've ever seen, had dirty water and smelt very fishy. I was scared to even eat them thinking I would get very sick. I always throw these back and these had me very skeptical. They only give cocktail sauce and lemon. No vinagrette. Honestly though the board of health should probably check this place out because those oysters were not ok to serve and make me never want to trust $1 oysters again. Some of the music they were BLASTING was alright, otherwise very trap in the club kind of music. Even if I had stayed for karaoke they would have kicked me out because it wouldn't have been their vibe.
