Overcooked delmanico
I G.

We were seated promptly, and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, operating at about 70% capacity. However, our waitress could have been more attentive, as our service was slow. I ordered the Delmonico steak cooked medium-well, but unfortunately, it arrived well-done and was overcooked. It would have been helpful if the waitress had checked in to see how the steak was prepared. I didn't even get a chance to have it remade. I ate a few parts that had more fat since that wasn't dry and overcooked. After dinner, we were eager to look at the dessert menu, but after waiting a while, our kids decided to venture next door for ice cream at the coffee shop. It seemed the waitress may have been busy with other tables. Ultimately, we opted to pay the bill and leave. On a positive note, the drinks were fantastic, and the restaurant is very family-friendly, offering various kid-friendly options even for entrées. Overall, this could be a delightful dining experience with more attentive service.

I came in with a big group, left traumatized. I ordered the lox & bagel, first of all it came out with onions and i'm allergic to them. I made it known i was. The salmon smelt so bad i had to have him take it away. It was grey in color and my waiter was nice and all but did nothing about it. He just told me that's how it's supposed to look. I'm a waitress and salmon does not look or smell like that.

Loved eating dinner here tonight! Arrived thirty minutes before close, fully prepared to be turned away, but the host greeted me warmly and sat me immediately. My waitress was very attentive and offered plenty of suggestions. I enjoyed the peanut butter chocolate martini, baked brie with sourdough, the lamb chops, and the s'mores fondue. Definitely more than I had an appetite for but everything on the menu sounded great so I had to try it! Will have to come back with friends to try more of the shareables.

Nothing special over priced for what you get. The charcuterie board was a major disappointment $21 and looks like the kitchen just dumped everything on the board. Lollipop lamb chops had way to much pepper. Beef short rib was ok the polenta was the star of the show. The food had potential but missed the mark. Will not be back.

Any time I'm in Hershey from out of town I have to come here for their happy hour 4-6 ANY day of the week, even Saturdays. They have $7 martinis and half off apps. I love the martinis because they are classic Hershey flavors and they put a mini hershey kiss or Reese's at the bottom of the glass. Not to mention these martinis will get you buzzed very quickly. The staff behind the bar is always super nice and overall it's a chill atmosphere.

It wasn't quite what I thought after reading the website. Open floor plan much like a diner is set up but with longer tables accommodating bigger parties. Our server, Mandy, was perfect. The food delicious. The portions were perfect. Not to big or to small. The menu has a variety of small plate and entree options along with dessert. It's upscale food with great flavor. If I wasn't trying to cut back carbs, I could LIVE on their bread! I had the porcini tortonelli, hubs had the crab flatbread, and my friends had short ribs and seafood pappardelle. I had salted caramel cheesecake for dessert. The restaurant is directly inside The Lodge. It's handicap accessible. Have fun! Can't wait to read your review!

So I have never come to dinner here...but their HAPPY HOUR is amazing. The drinks range from 7-11 dollars depending on the drink. The bar is very inviting and comforting to sit at. The bartenders are very attentive and make great drinks. The food was also VERY yummy! My favorite was the Fig and Prosciutto flat bread.

We came here for a conference at the Hershey Lodge and ended up grabbing some dinner at Fire and Grain. We got a table in about 15 minutes, but opted out to eat at the bar and watch an NFL game. The service was really good. The bartender/server was attentive and friendly and split our checks with no problem. We got some flatbreads. They were awesome. My buddy got a buffalo chicken and I got the Crab. We also had buffalo chicken meatballs.

Located in the Hershey Lodge, it would be a convenient spot for guests staying there but I was not a hotel guest and just stopped in for happy hour. The man at valet was so friendly and instructed us where to park. Happy hour starts at the bar at 4pm but since it was full we had to wait until 4:30 to be seated at a regular table which I thought was a bit strange that the bar opened before the restaurant. We waited comfortably in the lobby until we could be seated. Service was good but I felt the food fell a bit short. We had the meatballs, buffalo chicken flat bread, prosciutto & fig flat bread, and baked goat cheese. All were just alright, nothing spectacular. I did really enjoy the blueberry lavender mojito on the happy hour menu! I tried the Reese's martini because why not when you're in Hershey! It did taste like a Reese's but it just wasn't my taste in a cocktail. A decent stop for happy hour if you're staying at the hotel but I wouldn't go out of my way to get there

Came here with a large group last weekend for dinner. Drinks were great and our server was very friendly. Food was good but a bit expensive for what you got. My husbands pasta with bolognese was over $30 which seems a bit too pricey. However it is in a convenient spot especially if you are staying at the hotel.

Blueberry lavender mojio

Here for a work conference. I can't review the food, but the happy hour is amazing great wine for a good price and a very yummy blueberry lavender mojito.

Don't ever pay full price here, better yet, make a better option elsewhere unless you have to come here. The food is woefully average and even at happy hour pricing I was disappointed. Drinks were tasty but weak at $7 cocktails and ~$5 beers. Apps were disappointing. The meatballs were 3 for $6 and the hummus was standard with pita chips and Brussels. I can't imagine paying double that price for the quantity and quality served... Also- some shenanigans happened with the host/seater and wait times. The restaurant was pretty empty during happy hour and we wanted to get a table, ready at 4:30. We check the bar and come back within a few min and the table is now ready at 4:45!? Mind you, restaurant still empty and nobody had made additional reservations. Their text checkin system doesn't tell you when a table is ready, so you might as well just hang out around the host because it's essentially their mood that determines when you'll be seated. We checked well before our 4:45 time and were seated, but was never notified at all that it was ready. Highly unprofessional host service. Though our server was great and friendly. Just go to a different happy hour / restaurant on Chocolate Ave.

The appetizers were well worth the price and were served pretty quickly! I had the Ahi Tuna Nachos and my husband had the Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts. Both were delicious and the right amount for a heavy appetizer for a Sunday afternoon! To top it off, we also had some drink specials that included the Frosted Strawberry and draft Blue Moon. We topped off the afternoon with the recommended pineapple upside down cake and didn't turn back. It was decadent and the prefect size for two. The staff was pleasant, but I felt should have been more attentive for a sparse bar. The restaurant was unique in design and trendy, and had a nice flow of customers for a Sunday afternoon. All in all, would do again for the happy hour specials! Quality of food: 5/5 Service: 3.5/5 Overall cost and experience: 4.5/5

My wife got the same Chicken Salad sandwich again, it's still a winner, seafood chowder was satisfactory to good according to her, she took the balance back to our hotel & she had it in the morning as she had a early morning meeting & we had a microwave, she changed her opinion to great , saying it tasted even better in the morning I guess from it being dehydrated. Pretzel was great, I had a chicken pot pie which I though was ok, it was basically a chicken stew served with a puff pastry in there instead of the stew in a puff pastry, It tasted clean & light lacking body so I ordered a side of lime rice which worked for me. The star of this place is really their custom brews, I thigh think the food here is 4to 4 1/2 star but their brews make it a 5 star restaurant. Their birch beer & bourbon ginger are perfectly balanced flavor & refreshing & I also bought a bottle of their express Old Fashion to take home, 10/10 satisfaction. Even in you are not a alcohol consumer, the Location, atmosphere & quality of service coupled with good , clean food makes this a great restaurant. A definite must visit in Hershey.

A visit to the brewery provides fresh pours of the classics as well as a host of specialty brews (e.g., bourbon barrel-aged Mad Elf Grand Cru, which is nothing short of magical). Many of these brews are high-octane. Handily, Troegs also serves food - and it's not the typical compliment of fried bar nibbles. The menu offers a wide and changing variety of dishes of all sizes that are damn near gourmet (e.g., braised short rib, duck confit, crab lasagna). The Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese is an obvious must. And I like the way they do payment. After you sit down, a member of the wait staff will find you, take your name, credit card, and (first) beer order, after which you can just give your name to the bar or snack bar and they will add order(s) to your tab. Also, epic gift shop (that sells beer and all related things).

You give a credit card to your server and that opens the tab. You go to the "snack" counter to order but drinks are brought by a server. Water is self service. After you place your order you get an alarm square (like Panera) and then you pick up your food and silverware and water. Two of us ordered the BBQ brisket sandwich. It came with cole slaw and Bbq sauce and a side of fries. Dining partner really liked the brisket and said it was so tender. I asked for the bbq sauce on the side and I'm glad I did because it was a vinegar base sauce. I didn't like it at all. I found the brisket to be a little too fatty and not well seasoned. The slaw in the sandwich wasn't seasoned either. I was disappointed. Both of us thought the fries were meh. Not hot enough and not crispy. Mine were kind of soggy. Diner 3 got grilled cheese. It was a sandwich in thick bread and came with a side of marinara sauce. She said the sandwich was good. Diner 4 got the Mediterranean plate. Hummus, tabuli, zucchini fritters and tahini. She graciously offered me tastes. The tabuli was really good and the zucchini was prepared like felafel. They were ok. The pita triangles looked good. I didn't try anything else. The other diners all ordered sodas which came with twist off caps in small bottles. They liked the sodas. Overall, the food was ok. There is a gift shop with a variety of merchandise and lots of beer for sale. I asked if the beers and 'cocktails' were available as singles rather than 6 packs. And I was offered a taste. I chose the freaky fruity cherry limeade cocktail. It had too much of the taste of hops for me. The server said it's not made with hops but on the same equipment and although it was tasty, I couldn't get past the taste if hops. Not something I like. The place is nice looking, people were very nice, the menu just didn't work for me.

The menu immediately caught my eye with its local flair, and it did not disappoint. They happened to be hosting trivia night, which was such a fun surprise and gave the place great energy. There are two of these in the area, we weren't quite sure which one to hit, so we opted for the one closer to our hotel in Hershey. We arrived just as they were opening at 11:00 am for lunch. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bartender and the server. They were the only two working up front, but it was fine; our entire time there, only one other table came in (this was on a Friday). The inside was nice, and we were seated by a fire. The only gripe I have is that the chairs seemed to be the wrong size/height for the tables. But other than that, the place looked good. My wife ordered a beer flight with an assortment of sours and a wheat. I went for the Annville IPA Bold Cask. It was a really, really good beer. Smooth, fully-bodied, and with a good amount of hops. Plus, it's 9.8%, so if you ask me, that's a great way to start off a lunch! The beer flight was decent, but more my wife's thing. Now onto the food. There were a lot of great choices, and we were starving, so of course, everything looked good. We always order for our six-year-old first so they can eat while we relax. We ordered him the hot dog and tots. For our apps, we ordered the Tator Tot Nachos: house cheese sauce, fresh pico, scallions, jalapenos, cilantro lime sour cream, and chicken. And also the smoked wings with hot sauce. I'm always a fan of tator tots, maybe it's because I never had them as a kid, or they really are that good. But these were perfect on a cold day in central PA when you're hungry. The right amount of salt on the tots, crispy exterior and creamy inside, plus the toppings (I love fresh jalapeño). The wings were okay, but this was to be expected. They're smoked, and as much as I love smoked food, you never get the skin crispy (especially on wings). They had a slight smoke flavor and a good sauce, but I'm a "well done" wing guy, so these I would pass on next time. By the time we were going to order lunch, my wife realized she was already full, and we still had a decent amount of food left. So she just picked at the appetizers. I was getting there myself, but I wanted to try a burger. I ordered the Pub Burger: 8 oz, Cooper Sharp, red pepper-bacon jam, dill pickle aioli, lettuce, brioche, and fries (because who can resist more fried potatoes). It came out perfectly medium rare as I ordered and seasoned well. I was apprehensive about the red pepper-bacon jam; I'm not a fan of sweet, but in this case, it worked. It was a great burger (although I only ate a quarter of it). The service was good, and she was very personable and polite. But one thing that was strange. She was on the phone almost the entire time we were there with whom she said was the owner (or maybe a manager). We heard her discussing the reservations and large parties coming in. This was a long call, and while I know there wasn't a lot going on in the restaurant, we felt at times we needed something, and she was busy talking. I'm not blaming her; if it were the owner or manager, they should certainly know better and keep it short. But when she was there, she was great. All in all, a great recommendation from a friend that we are happy we stopped to try. We will be back again, maybe sooner than our annual trip to Hershey!

I enjoyed the pulled pork grilled cheese: the chocolate barbecue sauce reminded me of a lighter molasses-based sauce so it worked with the barbecue. We had the Ferris Wheel appetizer which was mostly a win, but the items could have shown up on a TGI Friday's menu. The next day, to escape the millions of middle schoolers in the park (I have a whole travelogue brewing for that) we came back because I wanted one of their gigantic milkshakes.
