She seemed very nice. During the session it felt like more pressure than I realized until I got to my car. Because I have glasses I couldn't see it from the seat to the mirror and she didn't hand me the mirror after she finished. But when I got to the car, I checked and I saw how I had cuts under my eyebrows. Very disappointing.

I just left. I'm disappointed I ever paid for this. I knew something was wrong when the thread kept breaking. I've never had my eyebrows swell or my upper lip. She was aggressive and what annoyed me was she lifted my head when it was over and did not hand me a mirror like everyone else before me. I had to ask for it. I would not recommend at all.

Quick and easy local business in the North Pasadena area for all your eyebrow threading needs. Did I mention it costs less than $10! Like with any threading studio, it's important to communicate your wants and thoughts upfront. Don't be afraid to ask for adjustments! I went for a more natural and brow clean-up, so she did a great job of addressing my concerns after the first round when I felt like my eyebrows were still uneven. I had one slightly thicker eyebrow, so she did a great job of taking out only a thin line to give me a more defined arch. They clean and sanitize the tools and chairs after each client. Plenty of street parking in the surrounding neighborhood area.

So I'm updating my review because apparently this place is hit or miss. Apparently some of the workers don't work during the week and only on weekends. If anybody knows the name of the older woman who is here weekends please let me know. I couldn't come back Friday or Saturday so I explained what I wanted and how they just needed to be cleaned. I was so upset from the results that here I am crying at home trying to figure out how to fucken fix my one chola surprised eyebrow. See for yourself. The saying goes that eyebrows are sisters not twins but holy shit this isn't even getting close to cousins.

My new favorite place! I had never gotten my eyebrows done before, so I decided to try threading before leaving for college. After searching for threading places on Yelp, I decided to try out Fiona's because of its highly positive reviews and low prices. My sister and I got there at around 11:30am and luckily for us, there was no one else in the shop so we were seated immediately. The shop is really small so we had a bit of difficulty finding it, and the area isn't the best but oh well. The daughter helped me with my brows, and the mother (I'm guessing she's Fiona) did my sister's. I was pretty nervous because I had heard horror stories from friends who'd had bad experiences with threading. However, the daughter was really nice and patient which helped sooth my nerves. The experience honestly wasn't that bad and I know this'll sound weird but it was like a good kind of pain LOL. Kind of like scratching your skin really hard or something..do I sound like a masochist? Haha the entire thing took maybe 10 minutes and I really love my eyebrows/upper lip! They're so much cleaner and defined than before, and my upper lip is now mustache-less yay lol. And the best part is that the total ended up being only $11!! They also give out stamp cards with free threading after 9 purchases I believe. I love love love this place--very kind and skilled people and affordable prices. I'll definitely come back when my brows start getting out of hand. Support local businesses!

CASH ONLY It is a small place with about 4 chairs. I went in the weekday afternoon with a very little wait. I'm not sure of the lady's name that did my threading, but she was the only one there at the time, which I believe is the owner. She was very nice. I told her I wanted a clean up and not too thin and she did just that. Afterwards, she puts on some lotion which felt nice. The eyebrow threading was $7 which is a pretty good price. She also has a stamp card.

I have another lady I go to for eyebrow threading (for the past 15+ years), but occasionally she's out of town so I'm always on the lookout for a comparable back up. This place is LEGIT! Seven dollars for eyebrows, and a lovely eyebrow/forehead massage afterward. Best part, she knew exactly how to shape my brows. She was extremely gentle and precise. I'm already raving about this place to my friends. Neighborhood is what some people may call "sketchy", but hey, you can't beat the price and service. I've tried other eyebrow threading places like Vinita's (several times, with different "threaders"), and I was never satisfied. I would usually have to fix them when I got home. With Fiona, nope. Left more than satisfied with my eyebrows. Pros: Everything. Cons: Neighborhood. Depending on how many people are ahead of you, expect to wait about 10-15 min per person. (Not sure yet if she takes appointments). read more

Very gentle meticulous work here. Super inexpensive ! 7 bucks for brows . She even gave me a forehead massage after ! Nice clean salon. Not much parking available on streets nearby. Watch out for signs pasadena quick to ticket. read more

I've been coming here for over 2 years now and they never disappoint. They always leave my eyebrows on point and looking nice every time! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone that needs their eyebrows done. It's also $7 (cash only) and street parking only. For $7 I shouldn't complain. BUT the lady rushed thru the threading without touching the top of my brows. I looked at the mirror & she had hardly cleaned up anything. I asked her to clean the top & she gave me an attitude. Did the top in about five seconds. Didn't put any gel or cream after. My brows were not even & didn't look like anything was done. Also, FYI they only take cash. Overall, I will not go here again. I'd rather pay $20 somewhere else to have them look good. read more

Great find!!! I was looking for a place not to expensive and Fiona was it! She was very very nice and caring. I do have to admit that its not in the best area of Pasadena, but it was worth it and the 7 dollar ticket. She did a good job, and I will be going back again. read more

After moving to Pasadena from Long Beach where I used to go to iSalon, I had some trouble finding a similarly inexpensive threading salon. But then I found this place. $7.00 for eyebrows, Cetaphil lotion (great for my sensitive skin), and a nice forehead massage afterwards. Also comes with a card for your 10th service free. Overall I was quite satisfied with how my eyebrows looked, but the best part was how friendly and nice my threader, Jasmine, was. Will definitely be a regular here. :) read more

Just like another reviewer, I used to live in Long Beach and go to iSalon. You can't beat the prices at iSalon... But at a place like Fiona's, you get consistency... and a forehead massage. The price is still great compared to anywhere around, at least that I've seen.Plus, the person who threaded my eyebrows was really sweet, and it was one of the most painless threadings I've gotten. read more

I came here for the first time and I will definitely be returning, both ladies working at the time were very nice. My brows looked 10 times better when I left! Very cheap, very quick. I would recommend this place if your in the pasadena area. Although I am a bit of a eyebrow snob so I do have a certain woman who doesn't work here do them. I had my upper lip and chin worked on here and I have no complaints. read more

Small shop hidden in between a few other shops on Orange Grove. Found street parking a block and half away. I stopped by around 4PM and was the only client there. The person who did my eyebrows was super fast. I was in and out of there in minutes. read more

I love everything about this place, the service is always good. They leave your eyebrows really nice. Ruby does really good job, she is just here in the weekend. If you are in a hurry don't come expecting to leave fast, they take their time doing your eyebrows. read more

OK so I Tried this place based in the reviews but I wasn't happy!! it was a last min resort I really needed to get my brows threaded its in the hood of Pasadena and its kind of hidden. So I go in there 2 or 3 other girls are there so I figured that's sign of regulars, umm noo!!!! it was my turn and let me tell u its hurted like a motherfucker!! I usually get my brows threaded and it never hurts like it did this time!!!! And then she done and one brow wasn't as arched or had any shape felt like it was more of clean up also i forgot to Mention she didn't ask even ask how I wanted them, I had to tell her ! Then after I asked for my lip to be threaded she said No! Were already closed next time ! Ummm yea unprofessional!! like lady I'm sitting n the chair already, really??!! I jus said OK that's fine paid and I still tipped her cause im nice!! but I won't be stepping foot in there again!!! read more

I believe it's a mom and daughter team...i will say mom is not that great. she ruined some lady's eyebrows right before i was up- guess that should've been my cue to run! but i didn't. anyhow, she didn't ruin mine but she didn't do a good job. after she was "done" i had to ask her to do some more cleanup and really shape my brows. i was afraid she was going to over thread so i didn't have her do too much, but definitely wouldn't trust her with my brows again. read more

I was attracted by the high rating and low price but ended up sorely disappointed. She did not take her time, and she completely skipped trimming on my left brow. Even worse, the location isn't the best neighborhood, and there was no parking lot so we had to park on the street a block away. If I do come back, I will make sure my brows are done well before I leave. read more

This place is so good!! My boyfriend and I came to get our eyebrows done & they came out really nice. There was a bit of a wait but I didn't mind since we did come just before they were closing-@7pm. I've been going to this one place in eagle rock mall my whole life and I hated it honestly! Snobby Armenians that ran the little booth and had the worst customer service ever. I am definitely coming back here and this will be my new spot! Loved it!! read more

I was asked to sit at one of the stations and then I told the person that I wanted them to be cleaned up and shaped but to leave it on the thicker side so I can continue to shape them in the future. Well, she cut some of the hairs, which is standard. Then she threaded lightly above the brow only to clean it up and not shape it. Then she barely cleaned up the arch area and asked if I was ok with the service. Honestly, I could have cleaned up with tweezers, but whatever. So then she does the same thing on the other side. And that was it. She didn't thread them to the point they were shaped, they looked barely cleaned up but there was no finesse to them. I don't think I'll go back. I truly wanted to like them. I went there because I saw the pictures so I figured they'd do a decent service. It was meh or sub-par at best. 3 stars because of the business cleanliness and sanitation practices.

The 4.5-star rating is unfortunately misleading. I respect the hustle, but I left with eyebrows that looked more like distant cousins than sisters--completely different shapes. Fiona used her fingers to wipe away hairs mid-threading instead of a tissue, which was my first red flag. The second? She didn't offer me a mirror when she finished. At $10, I guess I got what I paid for, but still... the beauty industry clearly isn't for everyone. Do yourself (and your brows) a favor--please go elsewhere. read more

I have been to Fionas Threading Studio Pasadena again and done my eyebrow and full face threading it was so cool, the lady who thread me was so good and professional, i m really happy with her service. the price is also very good, juss 6.99 for eyebrow.
