Cheap ($11 eyebrows $6 upper lip) but not worth it!! I was tearing up and flinching from how aggressively she was threading. They put way too much pressure and even break the thread multiple times. She never even stopped to ask if I was ok or needed a break when I was continuously wincing. When I got up to pay (they don't even offer a mirror to check after your service) I had tears welling up in my eyes and my eyebrows and lip were red and irritated. She seemed very nice. During the session it felt like more pressure than I realized until I got to my car. Because I have glasses I couldn't see it from the seat to the mirror and she didn't hand me the mirror after she finished. But when I got to the car, I checked and I saw how I had cuts under my eyebrows. Very disappointing. read more

First few times I went here things were fine, but my last two visits killed it for me. They're very nice and my brows do turn out well, but this is one of the most painful places I've been to for eye brows. I end up with cuts on the side of my eyebrow every time and I get super stressed because she's always pressing down the thread against my eye. My eyes have gotten more sensitive lately so the sensation makes me really nervous. Whatever they put on my brows before getting started is so heavily scented it bothers my eyes. Sad to say I won't be back the results do look good and the prices are reasonable, but the pain and stress are not worth it. If you have less sensitive eyes then this place should be fine, but I can't anymore read more

I just left. I'm disappointed I ever paid for this. I knew something was wrong when the thread kept breaking. I've never had my eyebrows swell or my upper lip. I've been cleaning my own brows because the brow places near me are $20-30. But cleaning my own brows can't compare to getting them threaded. So I'm updating my review because apparently this place is hit or miss. Apparently some of the workers don't work during the week and only on weekends. If anybody knows the name of the older woman who is here weekends please let me know. I couldn't come back Friday or Saturday so I explained what I wanted and how they just needed to be cleaned. My new favorite place! I had never gotten my eyebrows done before, so I decided to try threading before leaving for college. After searching for threading places on Yelp, I decided to try out Fiona's because of its highly positive reviews and low prices. My sister and I got there at around 11:30am and luckily for us, there was no one else in the shop so we were seated immediately. The shop is really small so we had a bit of difficulty finding it, and the area isn't the best but oh well. The daughter helped me with my brows, and the mother (I'm guessing she's Fiona) did my sister's. I was pretty nervous because I had heard horror stories from friends who'd had bad experiences with threading. However, the daughter was really nice and patient which helped sooth my nerves. The experience honestly wasn't that bad and I know this'll sound weird but it was like a good kind of pain LOL. Kind of like scratching your skin really hard or something..do I sound like a masochist? Haha the entire thing took maybe 10 minutes and I really love my eyebrows/upper lip! They're so much cleaner and defined than before, and my upper lip is now mustache-less yay lol. And the best part is that the total ended up being only $11!! I'm not sure of the lady's name that did my threading, but she was the only one there at the time, which I believe is the owner. She was very nice. I told her I wanted a clean up and not too thin and she did just that. Afterwards, she puts on some lotion which felt nice. The eyebrow threading was $7 which is a pretty good price. There is little to no wait! I just walked in and told the lady that I want my eyebrows to get reshaped. I don't have much hair to begin with and she seemed very concerned and kept saying, "yes, you don't have much hair." Don't worry about me, I'm not already self conscious of how thin my eyebrow hairs are... She got rid of the unruly little hairs and trimmed the edges of my brows. She only took about 5-10 minutes max and applied some lotion to soothe the redness. She also offered me a stamp card. I believe you have to go in 9 or 10 times to get a free thread. Love love love my eyebrows. After a very long trip in Mexico my eyebrows were horrendous and desperately needed threading. I usually go in Azusa (even though I live in Pasadena) because I found a spot I loved out there. Well after a long flight the day before I didn't feel like driving all the way out to Azusa to get my eyebrows done so I ask a few friends and they recommended Fiona's. Anyone who threads their eyebrows KNOWS how precious it is. I mean if you mess up my eyebrows I have to wait forever for them to grow back out fully to reshape, so trust is very important. Yelp had a good rating so I went in. Parking was a bit of a hassle (street parking only). The shop itself was small. I was helped by the owner and she did a great job. My eyebrows came out amazing. Horrid customer service & experience. I just left with a welt mark & small amount of blood on my right brow. I felt a harsh amount of pressure during the threading & didn't think much until I felt the sting of the alo, looked in the mirror & noticed a welt like mark & blood. I originally only went to Vinta's studio on Colorado Blvd but due to my last visit I decided to resort to Yelp for help. I found Fiona's business and just had to take a leap of faith. The location is actually pretty difficult to locate but it's literally across and Estrella tacos on Orange Grove. The location doesn't have a parking but there is residential parking all over so hopefully you're lucky enough to find something close. I walked in to no wait and a lady nicely greeted me. I informed her that it was my first time at this location and she promised that I'd be fine (imagine my nerves, lol). This was the best eyebrow service I've ever gotten. I loved it!
