She's really skilled and was able to analyze my brows and find THE shape ideal for my eyes and to frame my face. She sees eye shapes all day, the woman knows her stuff! She's also super sweet and kind. Highly recommend!

Fabulous service, would recommend Mahro's! I got an eyebrow and upper lip threading. The salon is clean and quiet. She checked in several times while shaping to make sure it was what I had in mind. Threading itself is never fun to experience, and I have sensitive skin and always seem to end up with some nicks and abrasions, but Mahro was so gentle that didn't happen AT ALL here. Prices are about standard for the area, $20 for brows, $10 for upper lip. She was able to take me in as a walk in and was so pleasant to talk to. There's a decent sized parking lot right in front of the shop. She's moving next month down a few blocks and I'll be sure to look for her there! read more

I'm so glad to have found Mahro! I really like that she listens as far as wanting to maintain the thickness of my eyebrows & how I want them shaped. They had gotten uneven (too much tweezing on my part) & she has helped them get cleaned up & look better. She does a great & clean job! read more

I am always so happy with my results after I visit. I love coming here! She always makes it very friendly and conversational. She is very thorough with my brows and allows me to be apart of every step. She will stop and ask me if it looks okay or if I need something else. She is very gentle so the pain is minimal. I'm never going anywhere else for my brows! I was in Pasadena and needed my brows done - stat! I like to have threading done as it always lasts longer. Looked on trusty ol' Yelp and saw Mahro's Brows nearby with amazing reviews. The reviews are legit! Some reviews mention it being less painful here than other places and I concur. I was being threaded thinking wow, it really is nearly painless here. I'm impressed. I parked in the garage (free with validation), walked in and was warmly greeted! It must have been the owner taking care of me as they were so detailed oriented and amazing. We chatted a bit, they got to know me, it felt like a nice and personal experience. They even were giving me advice on best practices to keep myself looking all sorts of amazing. Not gonna lie, the compliments she bestowed on me didn't hurt. Flattery gets you everywhere with me, lol! Prices were a little more than I'm used to at other spots, but it was money well spent and I'm really happy with how it turned out. For anyone wondering- Mahro's is open again! I have been coming to Mahro ever since she had her cart in Paseo, and she is the only person I trust to do my brows (conservative, thick, cleanup). After a year of stay at home, my brows were in desperate need of grooming for an upcoming event. She got me cleaned up and looking like my pre-lockdown self. The lady does good work but that's only when she decides to show up to work. Her hours are Tuesday - Sunday 12:00pm to 6:00pm but in the last six months has never opened on time when I have come. I'm always stuck waiting around for a half hour or so. Better to find a more reliable place to do your eye brows. read more

Expect, my eyebrow threader was on her phone a lot, before and after she saw me. I was there a few months ago but, I do remember she was a little too quick doing my eyebrows, it felt very rushed. After she was done, she left to go to the bathroom and didn't come back. My friend was still finishing up her eyebrows, so soon after I went to the bathroom as well and walked past my threader. She was sitting in the back somewhere on her phone again. At this point, I still haven't paid. It would have only been annoying, but later I realized she messed up one of my eyebrows and took too much off. One was thinner than the other. I eventually went to another place and there, they lined them up better, correcting her mistake. It wasn't worth the money and trip, if this is the service we may get.

There's plenty of parking, but it might be crowded due to nearby businesses (e.g., Food 4 Less). The inside is usually clean. For the few times I've been there, only one lady (Sally) has been there working. So depending on the time and day, you may be waiting more than what you expect. However, Sally is pretty efficient without sacrificing quality in her work. She pays attention to the details and usually follows through with what I ask of her. She takes her time and kept making sure that my eyebrows were balanced and the same shape. This took approximately 15min for my threading (eyebrow was $12 and upper lip was $6). It would be nice to have package/combo deals but I think they compensate for a stamp card system (if you go 9 times you get your last threading service for free). Convenient for those living in the area. Get your eyebrows done while you're out running errands.

I mentioned it to her and asked if she could correct them a bit, and while she did try, they still didn't look right to me afterward but I paid and left. I felt I could shape them better at home myself. The friend I had brought with me pointed out that they looked different from each other. Individually, they weren't terrible, but together, they just didn't look balanced or well-shaped as a pair. Don't get me wrong I wasn't expecting perfect symmetry because brows are naturally sisters, not twins, but for a $150 service from someone with such a strong reputation, I did expect more attention to overall shape and balance. What disappointed me the most was what happened over the next few days. My brow hairs stayed extremely dry, stiff, and brittle well past the normal timeframe. By day three, they still felt very dry and I started noticing actual breakage and kinking in the hairs. After researching it online, it really seemed like my brows were overprocessed. I reached out to her because I understand mistakes happen and everyone can have an off day. I simply wanted to let her know what was happening and hoped she would at least respond or offer some help. Unfortunately, I never heard back from her at all, and honestly that part spoke volumes to me. I truly don't understand how so many people had such amazing experiences while mine was so disappointing, but this was genuinely my experience and I wanted to share it honestly.

Major's is open and fully operating at the Paseo in Pasadena. I tweezed my own brows and didn't come close to the great job Mahro's does. Not only do they do a good job but they're so nice. You can make an appointment or walk in. I highly recommend them. read more
