I came to Rashell because of all the amazing Yelp reviews and honestly thought there was no way I could go wrong with someone rated 5 stars across the board. Unfortunately, that just wasn't my experience. I went in for a brow lamination and shaping and explained that I wasn't into the super thick, trendy brow look. I wanted something more natural and balanced. After the lamination process, she started shaping my brows and when she showed me the results, I immediately noticed they looked uneven and lacked symmetry and thicker than I had wanted. I mentioned it to her and asked if she could correct them a bit, and while she did try, they still didn't look right to me afterward but I paid and left. I felt I could shape them better at home myself. The friend I had brought with me pointed out that they looked different from each other. Individually, they weren't terrible, but together, they just didn't look balanced or well-shaped as a pair. Don't get me wrong I wasn't expecting perfect symmetry because brows are naturally sisters, not twins, but for a $150 service from someone with such a strong reputation, I did expect more attention to overall shape and balance. What disappointed me the most was what happened over the next few days. My brow hairs stayed extremely dry, stiff, and brittle well past the normal timeframe. By day three, they still felt very dry and I started noticing actual breakage and kinking in the hairs. After researching it online, it really seemed like my brows were overprocessed. I reached out to her because I understand mistakes happen and everyone can have an off day. I simply wanted to let her know what was happening and hoped she would at least respond or offer some help. Unfortunately, I never heard back from her at all, and honestly that part spoke volumes to me. I've been seeing Rashell for a little over a year now and let me tell you she is the best in brows! I always leave her chair shaped to perfection, and on top of that she is a sweetheart and so professional. Be sure to also purchase the two products she sells, the brow pencil and brow gel. I use the pencil every day, which is angled in such a way that makes application easy to "map" out for your ideal brow shape. It's a no-brainer when I use her pencil. The brow gel I use when I'm going for a more polished look, after I use the pencil. It keeps the pencil on and my brows in place, even after being at a work conference all day and evening. Services: Brow Lamination + brow tint Honestly, I'm pretty picky with my brows. I have quite unruly, stubborn asian brows and a lot of technicians don't quite know what to do with them, so I've been mostly disappointed up until recently. Going to Rashell was definitely the right choice! She was very accommodating, despite a little hiccup I had with parking and being a few minutes late. Once I got there, I went over what I was unhappy with from a lamination/tint that I got from another technician, and thankfully Rashell was able to give me highly individualized advice and service from there. Brow lamination/wax was quick and perfectly done. Rashell is definitely notably detailed in her work! Brow tint will usually fade drastically within a day or two, but I often have to meet a lot of people and don't wish to be self conscious about having sharpie brows for a day, so I prefer to just go easy with it. She was perfectly willing to work with a much lighter hand than normal, so long as I knew how that would affect the longevity of the results. I generally feel awkward about speaking up and changing things more than once or twice, but with Rashell I was able to be honest about my preferences and leave super happy and well-informed. Needless to say, I love my brows and I love how easy she is to communicate with! I truly cannot complain about a single thing. Her prices for brow shaping/lamination/tint combo are SO reasonable given my area, and her volume of work really does speak for itself. Rashell is currently one of the only people in my area that I would trust with my brows, especially given my preferences.
