It even smelled amazing. Even the bathroom felt luxe and thoughtful, which says a lot about the care they put into the space. My esthetician was wonderful. The whole experience felt pampering and soothing, even the extractions (yes, you read that right!). My one teeny tiny wish is that I would have loved more explanation as she went along about the products and steps being used. I would have happily splurged on skincare to take home if I had known what was on my face. That said, my skin was absolutely glowing when I left. It felt refreshed, hydrated, and just happy. Dehydration is usually my main issue, and this facial hit the reset button. Other little details I appreciated were the super convenient parking structure across the street. That's always a plus especially in Old Town Pasadena. Bottom line: if you are into self-care and skincare, this is your spot. I will definitely be back for another facial, maybe even to try a different treatment next time.

My skin looked glowy for the rest of the day, but I woke up to no discernible difference. I'm not looking for miracles, but facials I've had in the past I can see the after effects of for at least a few weeks. Some turn-offs: -I could hear someone having a word-for-word, extremely loud conversation nearby the entire time -the neck/shoulder massage portion felt rough. I wasn't asked how the pressure felt once. -after the facial, I was immediately upsold to purchase skincare. I had to ask about the prices. I was also gently pressured to sign up for a monthly membership immediately, which is kind of wild for a first-time experience. I'm definitely looking for an aesthetician to form a regular relationship with, but I don't think this place will be it.

I used to hate wearing false lash strips, because I could always FEEL them. With lash extensions, I do not remotely notice that anything is there. Taylor is meticulous, tasteful, and light handed. She is a licensed esthetician, and has extensive lash extension-specific training. Her touch is so gentle that I have fallen asleep during many of my appointments lol. She offers customized lash extensions ranging from natural looks to high volume. I opt for a light volume style with a subtle cat eye, which I find to be natural yet glamorous. I took an involuntary break from lash extensions from March to July due to the pandemic. Lash fills are needed every 2-3 weeks, so of course, all of my extensions eventually came off during that time. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my natural lashes were unscathed and looked the same, if not better, than before I started getting extensions. I currently drive 2 hours round trip to get my lashes done by Taylor-she is THAT good. Do yourself a favor, and make an appointment.

First, I feel she could've been kinder when she missed my messages over a five day period. I never received an apology and in person, she was not the warmest person. Second, I thought it was incredibly uncomfortable to sit in a chair with no back support for the entire duration of my brow appointment, which was close to an hour. When I found out that Emiko did bottom lash extensions, I was overjoyed and was even more pleased because she was in my area. During my consultation, I mentioned that I just previously had top eyelash extensions put on so she went ahead and took a look at the job. Shocked at knowing that a few of my lashes were glued to one extension, I knew that there was some damage made. I allowed her to remove some of them (an extra 20 bucks-such a waste of money and I hate that), so she could apply one extension to one eyelash. There was even a top eyelash that was applied to a bottom lash from when I visited Bylle Breaux... terrible. http://www.yelp.com/biz/bylle-breaux-make-up-and-hair-los-angeles-2 Emiko took her time (1 hour 45 minute application) applying the extensions on my top and bottom lashes with her own concocted glue from Japan (zero odor and no irritation). What a huge difference!! The lashes were softer, more defined and natural looking, and weren't clumped together with huge spaces between them. They really made my eyes pop and enhanced them beautifully. Emiko was gentle and made sure I was comfortable the entire time... I actually dozed off twice. Everyone there was very kind and welcoming making my visit an amazing one. If you are truly looking for quality eyelash extensions and specialists that handle your lashes with love and care, definitely come here. I'm excited to go back and get a full set from Emiko. She doesn't half-ass her work and you can count on her to help continue caring for your lashes as they grow out. I'm very confident that her technique is non-damaging and I highly recommend her.
