I was craving some American food and have been dying to check Finneys out. We came around dinner time on a weeknight and it was pretty busy. The restaurant itself is very big and unique with an outdoor patio. Our server was super nice and explained the menu and his recommendations. I got the smash burger and it was really good with truffle fries. I think i would get it again but without the pepper. My husband got the buffalo wings and enjoyed it as well. This place had such good vibes! I came here at 8pm on a Tuesday and the place was pretty empty. I brought a dog and they allowed me to sit outside. The outside patio is so cute and has heat lamps to keep you warm in the winter. The waiter was kind and asked if we wanted drinks right away. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower which was awesome. It was crispy and the sauce had a great buffalo flavor that went well with the garlic aioli. I also got the beyond meat smash-burger which was amazing. The grilled onions were perfection and the patty was super tender. We were even able to get it lettuce wrapped which added a nice freshness. The sweet potato fries were crispy and a great portion. Our group of 4 came to Finneys last week and sat at the bar. It took forever to be greeted and to order drinks. As we waited for our drinks, which took over 10 mins to get (the bar was half full, as well as the restaurant), we smelled a horrendous sewage stench. There was an automated air freshener (i believe it was battery operated, set on a shelf, facing the right side of the bar) spraying toxic, awful floral smell into the air. Other patrons were complaining about the sewage stench, too. We decided to not eat there, paid our bill and left. We go to restaurants all around the Circle of Orange and have never encountered such a horrible sewage scent. The Health Department needs to investigate this restaurant as I dont know how safe it is to eat and sit in a restaurant with sewage AND air freshener spraying non stop. read more

This place has a great variety of food, such a great happy hour too. The staff is awesome I really like coming here mainly because the food is delicious but the staff and management is awesome. Had a small issue with my food and it was taken care of well where I feel More comfortable here. Our server McKenzie has been really accommodating and fast! We waited about 15 minutes to 20 minutes to be seated place looks clean and spacious. I enjoyed the vibes as we ate outside, which I noticed people with kids were seated outside maybe by coincidence. I was desperately craving gastropub food (fried pickles, tater tots, that sort of thing), so we had to check out Finney's in the Orange Circle. I scanned the menu before going and was fully enticed by the fun appetizers - they were delicious! The only slightly disappointing detail was that the fried pickles weren't disks, they were tiny slivers cut from wedges, deep fried (I think). Each piece was very, very thin and there was nothing uniform about them. Still tasty... but my itch wasn't totally satisfied. Everything else came out how you would expect. I live and work in Old Towne Orange, and Finney's has been a family favorite since it opened. We brought family friends this evening for dinner who hadn't been. Tonight, my child accidentally spilled her meal, and our server kindly told us it was no problem and replaced it - the level of customer service that has set Finney's aside from a few less family-friendly establishments around. At the end of our meal I started to pay on the tablet and noticed we were charged twice the $14 for my kid's meal. I called our server and asked if this was meant to be the case, that I was under the impression she had replaced it for us. I was told the manager told our server she was not allowed to give us a replacement for free because it was "your kid's fault," that there was nothing else she could do, and she walked away. The adults at the table were dumbfounded. For the price of a small portion of pasta and chicken I will no longer be recommending Finney's as a family friendly restaurant or be taking out several time a week. read more

We stopped here on a Saturday and only had to wait about 45 mins, which is pretty standard. We sat on the patio, which has a great vibe with outdoor fire pits, games, and TVs to view football. Our server Devin was such a nice guy, and provided great service throughout our dining experience. We had the Hawaiian Poke Nachos - which we didn't finish. Feels like they're missing something, almost like another sweet sauce? Not sure. We also ordered the mango habanero wings, which were definitely spicy with a hint of mango. I don't understand why the reviews are so high, the food was ok, I ordered the Cajun wings, it not enough seasoning and I've had better. The service was awful as our server hardly came to our table. My bill came to 62$ for just myself. Which was not in my price range, to be fair I did order some alcoholic drinks, which can add up, but 62$ dollars is crazy work. Also we asked if they can turn off the heaters and the server said no even though it wasn't even cold outside. The ambience is ok, that's really what you're paying for is the vibe. Shoutout to the food runner, she gave us more service than our actual waiter, I don't recommend unless if you're getting drinks maybe as they're reasonably priced. read more

There were 6 in my party and our wait time was about 35 min. We got seated outside at first, but it was way too cold due to the cold windy weather. We then asked to be sat inside & were able to fit somewhat comfortable and snug inside a booth. We made it work. Many of is ordered different items: Mini Ahi Poke Tacos, California Cobb Salad, 2 Mediterranean Salads (one with honey & the other with chicken); 2 Chipotle Chicken Sandwiches. My friend got it lettuces wrapped and the other with bread. This time I had ordered the Chipotle Chicken sandwich which was delish! And it came with their homemade potato chips. Tasted really savory. I added some Tapatio sauce to them which enhanced a spicy flavor to them. I love the flavors that come through every time with the chips and the sandwich. I was so hungry I forgot to take a photo of it. The pepperoni flat bread was good but a little bit greasy for my taste. Definitely an entree to share. The shrimp tacos were not our favorite. Shrimp was over seasoned. There were a lot of veggies and a bit overwhelmed. Anticipated a baja style taco but turned out to be more southwest style. Overall Definitely coming again! We've eaten here multiple times and we've enjoyed most of their food!! We've had the fried chicken sandwich, lobster rolls, spicy tuna with crispy rice and those had to be our all time favorites. Our server, Ms. Sam, made our first Finney's Crafthouse experience very memorable. Clean restaurant with tons of TVs to watch sports. Plenty of tables inside and on the patio; picture an upscale backyard cookout. Games (skiball) and even games on the table iPad. Sam checked on our table periodically which was very much appreciated. The deviled eggs topped with candied bacon and chives were over the moon. The Finney burger medium paired well with the French fries. I couldn't get over how the flavors of the burger danced in my mouth. Compliments to the chef. The whole meal was perfect split between two. Came here for my best friend's birthday on a Thursday Night. We came with 9 people, and our wait time was 50 mins - 1hr. We checked in at 6:30 PM, and got sat at 7:17 PM. The vibe was so great here, a little crowded but we were able to grab drinks at the bar and wait outside for our table. When we were sat, We did not have to wait long for the server to greet us and to start taking our order. The food was delicious and came out very fast! There were absolute no complaints. Would come here again for the food. They even brought out an ice cream sandwich with a candle for my best friend to celebrate, so thank you for that. HOWEVER, then comes the bill. My boyfriend and I decide to catch the server away from the table and put $100 towards the bill. We did this secretly because we did not want my best friend's dad to pay for the whole thing. When the check was delivered to the table, her dad did not notice the amount that was deducted, paid in full + tip in cash. Things were going great, until our server pulls me to the side as I was exiting the restroom, and tells me that her dad tipped on the amount that was on the check, AFTER the deduction. He stated "Although he was very generous he did not tip based on the FULL amount prior to the deduction. He only tipped me on the amount after the $100 deduction. And how "tip out" works at the restaurant I would have to tip it all out. And I would be losing out on money, if i did not ask." Now, I have no problem tipping servers because I was one myself, and I know how the industry works. I ended up tipping the server the difference of what he was "owed". But I do think that it was very distasteful & unprofessional that he approached me to basically tell me " we didn't tip him enough. " The food was great and we had a great time. I was in the area and was craving a burger and decided to try Finney's. I got here on a Friday right before the dinner rush and it was already busy. But, they will give you a text once they are ready, so I just wandered around downtown Orange until my table was ready. The server was pretty prompt. I opted for the Finney's burger and truffle fries and ahi tuna poke nachos. The food came out pretty quickly. I was disappointed that the food was average/below average. The burger was slightly dry (but it was the best item I had). The truffle fry had a weird nutty flavor that I did not like and the ahi tuna poke nachos was not good at all. The tuna was slightly fishy and the items that came with the nachos did not really mix well with the nachos (probably my fault for ordering ahi tuna nachos at a crafthouse). Maybe I ordered the wrong things, but the food was definitely a miss for me. That being said, I really did enjoy ambiance of the place. It was loud, but cozy. Perfect for a Friday night bite. I wanted to mention the parking here. It is in Downtown Orange, so there is quite a number of cars around (especially on Friday when I went). There is a small lot behind the restaurant, but it was pretty packed. I actually found street parking a block away. There were plenty of residential street parking (even for Friday night). read more
