We dined here 8 mts ago. And I gave them a good review despite the fact it took a while to be greeted. Again we made reservations and requested a booth we were early and didn't mind waiting. We were seated pretty quickly, maybe the waiter wasn't aware of us ? Like last time we waited a while to be greeted. The waiter was friendly but seemed rushed. The food was not like it has been in the past. We walked out thinking that it was just not up to standard compared to the last time. We both ordered petite cut prime rib. The slice was very thin and I don't think it was 10 oz. The green beans were very good but the mashed potatoes were over whipped and starchy. The meat was a bit chewy. We both had med rare and that was right. The cost was 46.95 per dinner. It also came with Yorkshire pudding which was also delicious. I ordered a carrot cake ( my favorite) to go and the frosting was very thin. It used to be thicker. The inside is still nice but our booth seat needs some TLC. read more

Great Prime Rib sandwich! I was meeting a friend for lunch. I selected this restaurant due to the good reviews on Yelp. It did not disappoint. I ordered the Ultimate Dip & Clamchowder Cup. My friend opted for a Spinach dip and a Prime Rib sandwich (regular). Total for the both of us was ~ $96.00. Service by Matthew was very good. He waited for us to dig into our appetizers before placing the sandwich order. His timing was spot on. He refilled soda and water regularly. Food was delicious! Au jus was warm and container it was brought out in was sufficient enough to dunk the sandwich! Prime Rib was melt in your mouth. Clamchowder was hot and tasty. I have to give a rating of 3 stars for my visit to Prime Cut Cafe. I came to try their OCRW menu. I ordered the filet mignon stroganoff and carrot cake and my husband ordered the prime rib and sorbet. I would say the food was 3.5. Not terrible but nothing mind blowing. I also got a pomegranate lemon drop martini and it was so horrible. Tasted like cough syrup. I had my husband try and my friends sipped a bit and they all agreed. I had to send it back and I got a different drink. The worst part of the experience for me was finding out that they use peanut oil in a lot of their cooking. As a parent of a child with peanut allergy - it was stressful to say the least. Pretty much all of the kids menu was cooked with peanut oil because a lot of the food is fried. I will probably not come back due to the peanut oil. read more

The food is excellent. My Top Sirloin, Maine Lobster, and mashed potatoes with green beans were sinful. The mashed potatoes are absolutely delicious. A squeeze of lemon and a slight dip in the butter had my Lobster popping with flavor in my mouth. The Top Sirloin was prepared just as I requested. I wish it would've been one whole piece instead of 3 nuggets. The medium cooked Prime Hanger Steak was delicious as well. Just wish they would've let it rest before slicing it and serving it with blood surrounding the plate. Those mashed potatoes I would come back for! It's been a few years since I've been to Prime Cut Cafe and it's still as good as I remembered. I was in the plaza to watch a movie at the Cinemark Theaters next door. We came for an early dinner around 5pm and it was already pretty crowded. I got the petite cut prime rib with garlic sautéed spinach side. The prime rib was cooked perfectly at medium rare, the way I asked for it. My friends asked for medium and well done, their orders were cooked to perfection too. The meat was juicy and tender with the au jus being flavorful but not salty. The garlic sautéed spinach tasted very fresh and flavorful. We had to rush to catch our movie so we didn't get a chance to try other food or desserts, I would love to try it next time. The restaurant is part of a big busy shopping plaza, there is free parking but when it's busy you will have circle around to find parking. The wait staff was very nice and attentive. read more

We experienced such great service from the time that we walked in until the second that we left. The host (he gave his name, and I forgot what it was, sorry!) and server, Matt, were very welcoming. The restaurant was quiet although there was a good amount of people there enjoying their meals with family/friends. I was able to see the baseball game on the TV in the bar from where I was sitting in the main dining area. Anyway, on to the food! We were told about the current specials, we were offered meal suggestions, and were advised that happy hour was still happening. We didn't partake in any of those offerings, but it was great to know that they were available. We decided on the Devilish Eggs to start with, and the Prime Cut Cheeseburger (with no tomato) and the Bacon-Blue Burger. The burgers come with the most delicious thin cut fries, fried in peanut oil. I asked for a side of bleu cheese dressing as my dipping sauce for my fries. It was a great bleu cheese, very chunky, just how I like it. The burger patties are freshly house-ground Angus chuck meat. This review is between 4 and a 5, as I had no complaints. I laughed when I saw previous review as now it's 3 for roughly $60 plus some meals are a little extra. Josh was our server nice and attentive. Made a couple of minor switches for us. I had 2 House Old Fashions good and a reasonable price. My husband had a glass of the Pinot Grigio also priced reasonable for our times. I had the Apple salad which I usually have and my husband had the butternut squash soup, which was quite good. We both got the Sea Bass, crab (just a little bit) and Shrimp Oscar. We ate everything with no complaints. Both came with vegetables s and potatoes. We took carrot cake to go but ate it later. Ordered the spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer while we waited for the rest of the guests to arrive. Stayed with the restaurant week menu, starting with a Cesar salad, prime rib for a main served with yorkshire pudding, creamy mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, Horseradish, and au jus. I REALLY was looking forward to dinner with my son and wife. I should have taken note of the "cafe" in the name. I think it's possible that lunch may be a better option. This is not a steak house and a "wine bar" is a stretch. We ordered several menu options including, Ribeye, Hanger steak, Jumbo shrimp, ultimate french dip, green beans, onion straws, glazed carrots (glazed? With what and undercooked), au gratin potatoes, crème brûlée, chocolate torte, carrot cake, and cookies and milk. Honestly the only things that were good were the potatoes and carrot cake. The French dip was decent, not quite as disappointing but overall this was a major disappointment. We had one drink that was good, espresso martini. The server was nice but he got our order wrong to start. He forgot his order pad so he said "it's okay I will do it by memory" I recommend he take the time to get the notepad. My son's dinner didn't come until 10 minutes after everything else. No apology. There are several other options for dining in the whole center and I would recommend trying something different. This place is a disappointment. Service was bad when the place wasn't busy. We had an empty soda cup throughout our stay and kept on reminding on we wanted a refill. He kept on passing our table. Our waiter was super friendly, pleasant, and funny. I wish I could remember his name so I could give him credit for his amazing service. Our food took a while, but I do not fault them as it was super busy. The kitchen forgot my mashed potatoes, and when I notified our waiter, he was super apologetic and immediately got me my potatoes. At the end of the night he also brought us a slice of carrot cake on house as an apology for the slow service and forgetting my potatoes. All-in-all, we had a great Valentine's Day dinner. Dang! I was craving prime rib and found this place near the Honda Center. We were in town for the Usher concert and mentioned it to the waiter. He was able to get us the food quickly. Tried a "half bottle" of Justin Cab. It's actually just a smaller bottle. It was the perfect size to share for two without having to drink a full bottle. I ordered the Akaushi Beef Prime Rib Special - Henry Cut and it was the best choice of my trip! The flavor was outstanding. I didnt even use a single shake of the extra seasoning they set on the table, it was that good! Had the mashed Idaho potato potatos and opted for broccoli instead of spinach. The house roll was light and delicious as well. The ambiance is nice inside. The noise level was low to moderate, i think due to the volume of people getting ready for the concert not too far away. There's plenty of parking in this area since it is next to other restaurants and a movie theater. It tasted really good with the mash potatoes. I am so glad they did not serve it with rice. The prime rib that they serve is very tasty and has good flavor. They only serve it after a certain time of the day and until they sell out. So it's best to go at the beginning of dinner. It was soft and melted in your mouth. We ordered it with the au gratin potatoes. This is right near the Ducks Stadium so it gets really busy on nights that they play. I ordered the salmon chowder and Parmesan crusted salmon. Both were incredible, especially if you love salmon. The soup had a good amount of salmon chunks, rich flavor, and wasn't too salty. The Parmesan crusted salmon was probably one of the best salmons I've ever had. I love the juxtaposition of crunch of the Parmesan with the softness of the salmon. Each bite was flavorful, juicy, and just incredible. I don't typically like salmon skin, but my plate was wiped clean. The green beans and potato's that accompanied it also paired perfectly well together. The salmon was a highlight, but the entire dish itself is worth coming for. The carrot cake was my chosen dessert and I love the different textures it had. The frosting was really a bit too sweet for my preference, but the cake wasn't just cake - it had nuts, carrot bits, and various textures that made each bite fun to chew on! read more
