3.5 stars. Our server, Lauren, was phenomenal!! Besides the cute decor, she was the absolute highlight of our lunch. She could not have been nicer or more helpful. All that being said, unfortunately, the portion sizes are teeny tiny. The French dip sandwich is the smallest French dip I've ever seen in my life. If you want to split an entree, do not let the restaurant know, they charge $3 just to put half the tiny French dip on a second plate. The French dip desperately needed Salt and Pepper and the au jus had no flavor at all. It literally tasted like water. And its $20. It's too bad because the atmosphere is absolutely adorable and the service was stellar! I wish they would do something to improve the seasoning and portions of food because I would love to come back. read more

Oh how I love love love Finch! I hate to admit I don't come here often, it truly is a hidden gem. I got engaged on 11/11 of this month the plan was for me to get ready for a nice lunch. When the time got to 11:11 am, my now fiancé proposed and we actually had no plans for lunch. Through all my happy bliss and tears I did a search for somewhere to eat and when Finch popped up, I knew it was the place to go. The whole vibe and energy is a beautiful thing to be around. From the service to the food to the mocktails, everything was perfect. We shared a bean soup I wish I could remember the name of, the creamy seafood carbonara and to end, we got the ube cheesecake. Won't Atempt Again Tried to make reservations, locked. Called and was told I didn't need them. Drove 25 minutes to be told they were short staffed and only one server, who was also the bar tender. Stated they could seat us with the other 8 people in the restaurant, but it would be a 30 min wait at minimum. The Hive across the street was able to seat us immediately even though they were busy. Provided great customer service and an excellent meal/ drinks. We won't be returning to the FINCH. read more

Wide and I went to Finch for Valentines Day. Old Pecan and wine for drinks. Both were delicious. 9/10 Brussel sprouts for app. Excellent. 9/10 Paella entree. Disappotment. Tasted bland and lacked depth of flavor. 4/10 Fried chicken curry. Good flavor. The chicken was dry and was slightly burnt. It's really spicy! 7/10 Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. I have been to Finch several times and enjoyed it. However, Tonight was an exception. We had a party of 9, our waitress Alexis was not attentive at all. In fact, every time I looked for her she was talking to staff or leaning against a wall The food arrived luke warm. I had to send back my potato as it seemed it had been sitting out for an hour. I was shocked to see I was charged an additional fee for returning it for a fresh one. When I pointed it out to Alexis she argued with me. So much for the customer is always right. If the tip wasn't already included in the bill, I wouldn't have left one. Unfortunately, I will not return. There are too many other great places with accommodating staff. read more

My family celebrated a wedding one Thursday afternoon with about 20 of us in the dining room. The staff was prompt and attentive, keeping everyone's drinks filled was a must. We ordered off of the regular menu, nothing set, and everyone enjoyed their meals. Did not hear of any issues. I don't know how service might differ on a busier day/night but our experience was great and definitely made the bride and groom happy. Plus the food and drinks were tasty!! read more

After being seated we were ignored for 15 minutes, hubby and I debated leaving but realized it would be even longer to get lunch after driving around so we stayed. Our server showed up with profuse apologies for ignoring us. It appeared she had three tables in total so I couldn't figure out the delay. Our food was excellent and the place is eclectically cool in decoration. No utensils or napkins were provided until the food was delivered and I had to ask for them. Music was a tad too loud but not beyond conversational level. After delivering the food we were abandoned again. No checks to see if we had any problems with our orders. Perhaps our server was having an off day- IDK. The Finch Dip and Pork Belly noodle dish are highly recommended. We will definitely return and hope the service is better next time. read more

If you are looking for a fantastic resturant away from the parking nightmare in old town Temecula, this is your place. A friend told me about this resturant and I have to say it was fantastic. Amazing craft cocktails and parking available w no issues. Located off of Clinton Keith Rd and I-15 it's close and easy to find. My companion had the Heirloom Chicken that was juicy and mouth watering. I had the Filet which melted in my mouth and was perfectly cooked. The presentation of both entrees was fantastic. This restaurant is Nice but please do us and your business a favor... clean the table properly and update the chairs... they are heavy bulky and all beat up, looks like they were picked of the street (not all but many of them). Our last visit was for my husband birthday, and the table was visibly clean but extremely sticky and that's not very pleasant. Wall pendant light with a glass cover are all covered in dust. Yes, these might not huge issues but it's the small things that make a place stand out from the other restaurants. A place where food is served should be top notch and pristine. Food is good although prices compared to local places are up there. I will be going back and I hope to see some changes in a good way, needs better upkeep for sure!!!! Also can you please invest in a coffee machine... Literally the biggest drawback.... Brunch and deserts but no delicious coffee options other than drip. Would give more stars if the place was cleaner with more comfortable seating and nice coffee options. read more

I was in town visiting my friend and she found this place. She's been there once and said I had to go. Upon entering, you could feel the positive energy There is indoor seating as well as outdoor. There's a mixture of regular tables as well as high top tables. We were greeted right away and sat quickly. Our waitress was able to customize our drink, because we wanted it less sweet. The waitress was also able to accommodate a picky eater and provide an option. Staff was very friendly. The food was great. The only downside is it's mostly breakfast and brunch. The restrooms are clean. The ambience as well as the the aesthetic was great. Good for Instagram posting. The bar is very cute but small. The parking lot is very small so you'll have to probably park on the street. I recommend a Thai salad and the Caesar salad with shrimp or chicken. Chicken pesto sandwich is phenomenal!! I was a patrient at Finch restaurant yesterday, with two of my family members for brunch.. The restaurant host at the front door wasn't a warm greeting. We were shown to our seating ten minutes later. Upon being seated. We waited an additional thirty minutes for a server to come over to greet us and take out orders. But no one came to our table. My husband then went up to the employees who were standing around and ask, why haven't someone come to greet us. Minutes later, a server came up by the name of lauren. She was extremely apologetic, friendly, warm and pleasant. After taking out order, I request to speak with a manager. Supervisor by the name of Sarah came to the table. We explained to her what took place. She apologize for the employees oversight. And said she would be addressing the issue with them. With that being said, I would like to say kudos to Lauren! She check on us several times to make sure everything went well with food. As she was taking care of other customers, she make sure our table had water refilled, and any other condiments we need it. Lauren make up for the like of good customer service we experience at the arrival of our visit. At the end, Lauren made this a great customer experience with the restaurant. Took my mom here for Easter brunch. Parking was easy, and we lucked out and got a handicapped space since my mom uses a walker. We were seated at a table, but the music was so loud, I asked to sit outside. Why do places blast music so loud, you can't hear each other talk!? Fortunately, it was a beautiful day, and we had a nice view of the mountains. The chairs are not the best and not vey comfortable and I had to hold the chair steady while my mother was seated. We started with the brussel sprouts. They were Delicious and I loved the crispyness of them and the aioli was incredible! I highly recommend. We decided to split the quiche with short rib and cheese. It was over cooked and as dry as a bone. We sent it back. Our waitress was nice about it and we decided to try the muffuletta. The French fries were so salty we couldn't eat them. I was hoping our waitress would bring us new unsalted ones, but she didn't, even though we complained about them every time she came by. The sandwich was just ok and I would not get again. We decided to try the tiramisu and I have to say it was one of the best I ever had. So 50% of our meal was wonderful and the other 50% was blah. I'm not rushing back anytime soon, but, I would maybe give this place a try for dinner. read more

They close at 9pm and turned us away at 7:30pm. Said they just closed the kitchen because they are having a slow night. We just watched a group walk out as we walked in. We would have been done eating and on our way by 8:30pm if we weren't left standing there waiting to be recognized. They would have had time to clean up. Very cozy-chic vibes with a menu to match! I've only been here for lunch and dinner with my lovelies but I hear they have a wonderful brunch menu too. Indoor and outdoor seating available as well as reservations for larger parties. You can even sit at the bar. Finch is classy without being uncomfortably classy. Service is great. Food can take a bit of time but easily looked passed once it arrives. Nice classic comfort food-like options with a fresh twist. I would highly recommend anything on their menu. read more

Came here to have a drink with my co worker and had Lauren as our server. She was so sweet and so attentive and gave us good history about the restaurant that we appreciated. It's been a long time since I've had service that good. I always reward good service with a good tip so she got 35%. We got calamari and Buffalo cauliflower that was tasty and our drinks were good. My friends and I went to Finch last night to celebrate a birthday. What a wonderful experience. The service was awesome and the food was delicious. They have a wide variety of choices. I chose the Salmon with risotto and it was fabulous. We also ordered the hummus plate as an appetizer and it was very tasty and plenty for the three oof us. The place is dedecorated really well too. The Finch is a very nice neighborhood restaurant. One of the best options of the area where it's located. The food menu has good choices for everyone and is good tasting. During several visits I had the porcini pasta, dumplings, hamburger and a chicken thai salad. I normally drink just wine but their drink menu seems to be good too. I stopped by Finch for the first time tonight, and I've never been so frustrated by a service worker. When we first walked in, Lexi was behind the bar, but instead of acknowledging us, she was busy talking to a guy we decided to sit next to. It took about 5 minutes before my husband had to walk to the other side of the bar to order from Vince, who was fantastic, by the way. Vince killed it. It was hard to watch Lexi's coworkers work so hard while she spent the night flirting with a customer at the bar. She repeatedly went back to chat with him for long stretches of time and never once checked on us. At one point, she even left the restaurant to walk this guy out, leaving her team and customers hanging. I'm writing this review to bring this to management's attention. It's unfair to her hardworking coworkers, and I can't imagine this hasn't caused issues behind the scenes. Lexi needs to step up and pull her weight because her lack of effort was glaringly obvious. read more

The Finch is a really cute restaurant, and I was hopeful that it was going to be amazing... The cocktails were really great and we were able to take advantage of their happy hour prior to ordering dinner which was awesome. The only issue I have is that there are no food items on the happy hour menu that seem like a happy hour. Everything is priced $16 and above, which seems Like not much of a deal. I ordered the salmon with risotto and beet purée, for $31- which means I should have enjoyed every aspect of it. I can tell you that the salmon was cooked perfectly! My only non-favorite part was the risotto and beet purée, it seemed like too much sweetness, along side of the salmon. I needed the risotto to have a little bit more of a savory flavor to it for that sweeter beet purée to work. My friend loved her pasta and I think that I will try that next time instead. The restaurant seems a little pricey, but overall everything is delicious. I guess I would give five stars if they had a better happy hour menu with some food options at a better price, and if the salmon was paired with something besides the risotto and beet purée. Overall, service is great, and I would definitely check out the Finch, at least once, to form your own opinion. If nothing else, at least join them for their happy hour drinks! read more

Came here today for brunch with my cousin. We were sat quickly and I was pretty excited about their food and drink menu. We ordered their Neon Cactus and Gun Powder cocktails. Both were very tasty. We ordered seconds of both. We ordered their calamari, french dip, and wagyu beef sliders. The first thing I noticed were how freakin' TINY the portions were! I kid you not the calamari had 13 pieces of squid pieces (I counted!). The french dip looked like it was from a kids menu! The kids sized sub sandwiches at Subway looked BIGGER that their french dip!!! The wagyu sliders were your normal sized sliders and the meat was overcooked. It would have been so much better cooked medium rare. The bill for our food came out to be $135. Our server Chaz was nice and attentive. But everything else was just MEH! Cute decor but WAY TOO OVER PRICED food with minuscule portions. I highly doubt I'll ever go back... and even if I did it might be for their drinks and drinks only. read more
