We started with the pear Gorgonzola salad with candied pecans and balsamic we ordered the half size and shared it was the perfect amount for us both. My Husband ordered the Chicken parm that was a more vodka type sauce rather than a traditional red but I have to say it was better than most traditional sauces I've had was unexpectedly delicious and I ordered the clams with pasta and a white wine sauce both were perfectly seasoned and divine! We had a wonderful meal here! And it was only eclipsed by the wonderful service! I unfortunately cannot remember our server's name but she was blonde and had been serving there for many years already. She was super sweet and attentive to our needs. My daughter said she loved unicorns so our server found coloring pages with unicorns on them. Thoughtful! Our meals were fantastic. My husband ordered steak and some veggies. I got their cream based tortelloni romana. It was delicious! I absolutely loved it and ate the leftovers the next day (I often don't as they don't taste as good but l couldn't wait to eat more of this dish!). Changing review not for the quality of the food but for the lack of quality service. Over the last 8 years the food has been amazing!! Not sure what it is but the last couple of times ,over the last 6 months, we've been in their service is lacking. It is hard not to notice how others get their tables rounded on multiple times. Often we are left flagging down another waitress to ask for the check, provide straws etc.No refills were offered. They made a first bite pass and that was it. Great customer service from our waitress!! Clean environment. The tables are very close together. Doesn't bug me but may bother others. I am very picky about Italian restaurants because I am Italian and grew up on homemade Italian food from all over Italy. California has about 3 good Italian restaurants that I have found in 14 years haha. With that being said the food was not authentic Italian food in my opinion. HOWEVER, it did have good flavor! For example, I have never seen chicken marsala put together and served the way this restaurant does, i definitely wouldn't say it was Italian but it did have excellent flavor. The bread was very hard not sure if it was just sitting for awhile but that wasn't a big deal. Personally, I would not recommend the meatballs, the flavor reminds me of subway meatballs. Ok. Let's start with the waiter. Young, in a hurry and busy. Never came back to the table to ask if my husband or myself would like a refill or another glass of wine. Food took over 1/2 hour. The table next to us came after us and got their food 10 minutes before us. We ordered lasagne and chicken. It finally sat on the heat light for 5 minutes while the waiter ignored it and us. The service here is top notch and really makes you feel at home. The flavors are savory and really have depth to them that I love. The ambience is a little more upscale in design and feel but isnt uptight and seating is extra comfortable. They have space for larger groups and really nice booths for more intimate dates as well. We have heard great things about this spot so we gave it a try. It was very busy so we had to wait a bit for a table. Another group was seated before us, and it appeared we arrived before them, but no big deal. The server was ok, but then they swapped her out for another server without notice which was kind of odd. The food was good but not memorable. We have tried a few Italian restaurants in the area, and we have a full blooded Italian mom and my wife who is half Italian so the bar is set pretty high. We came to eat dinner around 8:20pm. We got seated and nobody approached us for around 7 minutes. I had asked the waitress if the pumpkin ravioli is made in house or frozen and she said that they make them there. My fiancé also asked if the meatballs were made there and she said yes. The food took a while to be prepared which seemed promising and made us feel that it is being prepared fresh. Once our food arrived it looked very sad. My ravioli was coated in 5 table spoons of oil and while the ravioli itself was just okay, I do not believe they are made at Tresinos. My fiancés meatballs were bland and also tasted frozen. By the time we got our food it was 8:46, so I didn't want to complain cause I know everyone wants to go home. So, I drained the excessive amount of oil onto another plate and ate my ravioli. The flavor is very similar to the Butternut ravioli you can get from Costco. The best thing we had there was the water, it actually tasted really good! Very sad about this experience cause we just moved to the area and are looking for places to have date nights. We were a large party of 12 so it took a little while to set up the table. We were seated outdoors on the patio, where it got very warm since the sun was directly shining its rays on all of us. Of course, we were gathered for Mother's Day. As usual, they were very busy and there was a slight wait. The food here is very good! The service was consistent despite our large party. We didn't wait too long for the food. A variety of dishes were ordered where some chose personal pizzas, fettuccine Alfredo, lasagne, shrimp salads, etc. I ordered the mahi-mahi special (listed on the specials board, as seen in the photo). OMG! It was so deliciously prepared! It was superbly complemented by the wine sauce, lemon butter, capers, and scallions and cooked to perfection! Everything we had here was so delicious and fresh. The tortelloni romana sauce was so delicious I wanted to scrape the bowl practically. The lasagna was a very large portion, gave the comforting flavors that we wanted, but also gave the refreshing flavor of real tomatoes for the sauce. My daughter's fettuccine with chicken was also on point. It wasn't too much butter flavor so the cream and cheese still stood out and the chicken was perfectly cooked. We came here last night for good Italian food. Unfortunately, everything was far from good. The calamari seemed to be frozen that they fried, large rings and heavy on the breading. As stated on the menu, the supposedly brick oven pizza had nothing to do with brick oven. The waitress had to look at the menu after I asked "Is it really a brick oven?" it was tasteless and doughy. We had to return our chicken marsala as it was horrible, and we couldn't even cut it with a knife. The pasta that came with it was terrible. The side of vegetables that they charged almost 6.00 dollars was nothing to speak about. If I could return every dish, I would have. Even the bread was bad which I had to ask for. The bar area is fairly large with comfy cushion barstools, the kitchen seem well maintained and the staff very friendly. We ordered the caprese to start a glass of house red, the Bolognese special and a Penne de Campo with sausage. The entrees were a bit in the salty side. I just had a few bites maybe two of the gnocchi of the bolognese special before my mouth started to feel grainy. The caprese I enjoyed a lot along with a glass of house red. I would love to return to try other items on the menu, I'm sure I will find a favorite dish along the way. There was many entrees to choose from and the pizza options did sound delicious! For real, I could eat salmon on the daily. I asked for my salmon temp to be med-well (not overcooked) Prepared to perfection! Moist, flaky and not overly seasoned! The place is always busy and smells amazing even from the outside. They managed to fit us in and they were packed! Our server was great and took care of us, we have almost no wait which is amazing given how busy they were. Their menu is pretty extensive but every sounded amazing. We ordered a few of the pasta dishes and each one (yes each single one) was some of the best Italian food we've ever had! We aimed for variety and got classics with each one.
