I went in there wanting christmas nails. Instead I got someone who didn't understand anything I was asking for. I showed her a picture of the nails I wanted she looked at me like she wasn't able to do so then I showed her another picture that wasn't as complex and she told me she could do it. My natural nails are long so I get powder dip and a shellac pedicure. I was excited I finally found a nail salon in Tucson. It was clean and you are acknowledged when you walk in the door. So when I first went to this place, I had a decent experience. The second time showed me i'm NEVER GOING BACK! I have never been to a nail salon that is THIS pushy. the first time I went I just wanted regular polish on my nails and a polish change on my toes. They kinda shamed me for it but, whatever. Second time I wanted gel, so the lady that serviced me insisted on milking me like a cash cow! She kept telling me to relax when how could I....she's talking me into designs that cost extra and for the record..telling me over and over to relax DOESNT HELP. I tell her again, no pedicure, JUST POLISH CHANGE. and she says "Yeah yeah cuticle cut and polish change" and I went with it cause i didn't want to argue. Update. from that f**king cuticle cut my toe is now swollen and infected to the point i'm limping...all for something I didn't want in the first place. I really liked this place a year ago...but they have been too inconsistent. The shop is always a mess now, I understand they're busy but the water cooler has brown stuff coming out if it. I always get some kind of attitude from the techs and my nails never last as long as I want them to! The customer service just isn't as great as when I first went. This is my go to nail salon for everything. But after today I think I'm just going to stick with the manicures and pedicures. I went in today to get an eyebrow wax and left with gorgeous brows but a cut eyelid. When I brought it up with the lady that was doing my brows she hesitated to even tell me what happened. She then pointed to the scissors and a pimple on my forehead and said, "Sorry". I'm going to try to go in tomorrow to speak with the owners or maybe get a response on here. I'm just disappointed that there isn't anything in place to report this incident. I paid full price and tipped her for the service because despite the cut, my brows are great. I'm a model and my face is my career. It's not some chipped polish. I just hope this doesn't scar. She kept leaving me unattended.. I have small eyebrows already and she made my left one significantly smaller & I broke out so bad! Which I never have after years of going here! Having tried to come once before, only to wait (outside) for nearly an hour, I planned my timing for the store's opening and brought my 2 daughters along for a mommy/girls day! We only waited long enough to pick out our colors before being welcomed back together to the pedicure chairs. The ladies who worked on my girls were so nice and helpful, and they pampered their little feet so well. Sugar scrub, lotions, massage, and even suggesting tiger stripes to go with their orange polish selections. I'm sure I paid extra for all of that, but I couldn't help it, they were having such a good time! My pedicure was wonderful!! I had the deluxe pedicure, and in addition to the scrubs, exfoliating, and massage, it also had a hot stone massage, a foot masque, and another treatment with oil, I believe. Every time I looked down she was starting another treatment and it was all amazing! It was pricey, but a little pampering can work wonders! My girls' fingers and toes look adorable, I felt great, and we had a wonderful time! The girls have already asked when we can do it again! I may have created little nail monsters! Lol! You check in on a tablet which in my opinion is really organized, they don't take appointments only walk ins so it's a good way to keep the wait list going. I had to wait a little longer than I'm used to but it was worth the wait. The salon itself is really clean and all of the staff were really friendly! I didn't catch the name of the woman who did my nails today but she did a great job and took her time! I have had had issues with my nails from working in gloves and she fixed all the issues and paid really close attention to details. I just did a gel dip manicure with color and it looks beautiful! All of the staff were following COVID protocols with stations socially distanced, hand sanitizer provided and all the staff wearing masks. I just stopped in here earlier today around 2 PM. Cathy did my gel manicure and she did a great job of cleaning up my dry, ugly nail beds that I tend to bite when I'm stressed. She also was very careful, but SWIFT, when doing my gels which is VERY important to me. When I get a pedi, I don't mind the technician taking their time but I absolutely hate manicures that are longer than 25 minutes (this doesn't include taking off old gels). I just moved out here to Tucson and have found my new nail lady. Side note: very cute interior and they also have lots of gel color options. Big plus for me! I got my nails done on Friday they started chipping on Saturday I went back and got them fixed. The woman at that desk was very friendly but the nail technician was not. They are peeling off again shee is Sunday. Sometimes when you go into those shops it's like they're so arrogant and they don't think that they have to treat you with respect. Every single employee in the place is professional, kinda and fantastic at their work!
