My boyfriend ordered a custom pizza, and it genuinely just wasn't good. We each had one slice and ended up throwing the rest away, which is very unlike us, especially when it comes to pizza. Dined in on a week day lunch time. There was one other party inside and no take away was happening during our visit, so quiet. I had read the several poor reviews, but my dining companion wanted to try this spot. So here is our experience. Waitress asked if we were dining in when we arrived, we affirmed and were told to 'sit any where'. The interior has a cute mural all along the back wall. Fabric poinsettia decor were in the table - in March. The table was clean, the floor could have used a sweep. It smelled of cleaning products in the dining area. The bathroom floor was wet, so it too must have been washed before service began. My first choice of an entree was not available. We both opted for sandwiches. To get fries, I had to order a 'plate'. Sandwiches do not come with fries. After ordering the waitress returned to confirm which choice my companion had made as there are two similar options. The food showed up in a respectable amount of time. We had to ask for flatware, salt, etc. My dining companions sandwich which should have been hot was lukewarm when delivered and quickly became cold - a pretty good clue the filling was microwaved then added to the bread. The result was underwhelming My gyro was standard pre-made meat (lamb) with a good amount of tomato and a white sauce which tasted like plain yogurt. I wanted to go through and try some of the other items, but I almost immediately got a sickness from the food. There was someone who worked there, I think his name was George, that was extremely rude and had a condescending attitude about the whole thing. Not sure if it was a superiority complex or not. I live in town and come here from time to time but never again. Called on halloween to place an order at 5:00 p.m.. I asked the women who answered the phone what type of sauce can I get on the wings? Her reply "sir I don't have the time to go over our sauce, I suggest you hang up and go online to our site and look them up". I politeley said no thanks and ended the call. Proceeded to call another pizza place down the road, got some delicious weiners and pizza and wasn't dissapointed. Ironicly, I had to drive by Twisted to get to the other place and there was maybe 2 cars in the lot at 6:00 p.m..Perhaps be nice and extend some customer service and you may find more patrons comming in. read more

Where do I start? When we first tried this restaurant, my wife and I were so excited, we found our favorite place for pizza. Then, almost out of the blue, we began to get a bad taste in our mouths, The people at the counter were different, which happens, but these new people were colder then left overs from the fridge, and really got offended because our pizza was burnt in spots, so I brought it back. The next time we went, I asked, in the nicest way I could, if they could simply cook it a little bit light, I was told that wasn't possible, it would either be undercooked and raw in the middle, or it would have to be cooked according to the conveyor. One would think, even though they advertise being an Italian restaurant, that pizza would be at least a primary item. We took a break from there for a while, but tonight, we were so tired from puttering around, and realized the time, so we look a chance. OMG, we would have done better to buy it on Ebay, it was the worse pizza we have ever had, the top was burnt, and the middle was doughy, the toppings were almost stale, and over cooked, the pizza was cut so strange, that one piece was two inches wide. The sauces flavor had either be either burnt out of it, or it never had any when it went in the cooker, I've never had a food place, of any kind, blame the cooking source for how the food comes out. I have to give them credit, I didn't think it was possible to charge that much for something that bad. Their sign and logo has a pizza on it, it suggests they are able to cook one. They seriously need to change their logo, maybe a grinder, or a fish? This pizza was so bad, they should do what hair schools do, provide it for free, so they can get the experience. The counter staff should have to take a course in "Hospitality", because they don't seem to understand it's more then just an entry in a dictionary, it represents customer service. My advice, by frozen, cook it your self, or your taste buds will be Twisted. read more

We stopped here on a whim looking to eat somewhere during covid. Thankfully we saw this place. The staff were super friendly and the place was very clean with great prices. I ordered the antipasto salad for 9.99 and the husband got a burger and fries. My salad... Amazing and huge! More than enough for 2-3 people. Lots of meats and veggies in it. The husband burger was good but to me the fries were outstanding. Long steak fries but with double crisp and seasoning. I mean it's EG's filippou's, you know exactly what you're getting. Perfect for that not sure what I want to eat and we don't feel like making anything type of weekend night. Only thing I had a "quarrel" with is the google menu that is out there has significantly lower prices than what the menu in the restaurant has. So when we ordered a pizza and tenders it was about $10 more due to the fact that the menu was different. It's $10 so there's nothing to be mad about. But it's the principal fact that I thought I was getting it for X amount, when in reality it was more. But what're ya gonna do? Will still come back for the pizza and tendies time in and time again. What a bunch of ridiculous reviews over delivery orders, if you get off your duff and go have a drink at the bar and put it an order it comes out in a reasonable amount of time and the menu choices are pretty great. I just started coming here recently because a neighbor had ordered a mac and cheese pizza which I thought was really "too much" but after trying a piece I realized the crust and cheese was GOOD . I began stopping by on weekdays when I need a quick grinder, pizza and salad for the fam, the menu choices are EXPANSIVE and there are HEALTHY OPTIONS available. During the week it is quiet except for phone in delivery orders so I always get premium service. The food IS REALLY GOOD, compare it to the other choices in the Exeter/ West Greenwich area... there are one or two others but those just aren't open early in the week. read more

I recently tried the pizza at the original Filippou's in Wickford and such a big difference in customer service and quality. We love the food! However, what is also important is getting it right. In our house when we think of Twisted we say to each other "but it always comes wrong" or "something is missing". But, we like to give the benefit of the doubt; however, we're usually disappointed AGAIN (as today - which prompted me to write this review). It's really crappy business to charge for side sauces, etc. but not include them. That kind of thing is not the driver's fault. We've had drivers go back for actual items (fries, wings, etc), but when you ask for extra ranch and get NO ranch at all, it sucks - especially when you pay extra for it. Maybe they have a better/larger selection than Famous, but you always get the right order from Famous! They seem to care more about their customers. read more

The girl at the register gave me ridiculous attitude because the signature pad listed the wrong price and she assured me that the price matched my total from my online order. Come to find out the disparity was the "convenience fee" they mention on the site for using a card. This dump tried to charge me over $9 for using a card to pay for an order that was less than $18. When I expressed surprise at this she snatched the pad and removed the fee. So that's something I guess. It's not her fault the store has a stupid policy like that and they were busy but still. "inconsistent" is the best word I could use to describe Twisted in Coventry. We've ordered takeout and deliver many times and it's a bit of a roulette wheel as to what you will get when you order. We've sometimes gotten some of the best pizzas in the area. Delicious medium thick crust, really great sauce, high quality ingredients, cooked perfectly, great toppings, a joy to eat. Those are the times that have kept us coming back after the "other" times, which seem to be 50-60% of the time. The other times, orders are made wrong (despite always ordering online... so there should be a record of what I asked for), incomplete, or just not nearly as good as the times when the food was "on point." Online ordering is terrific here. There is a big menu and a ton of customization options for nearly everything. Again, the problem is, will they get it right? Flip a coin. Beyond pizzas, the salads are great, lots of options and nice portions. The sandwiches (chicken parm and meatball) that we've had were very average at best. My son likes the chicken tenders and the fries are the best available around here. As a result of the inconsistent food and order fulfillment, we've stopped ordering from Twisted for a while. If you don't know what you are going to get, it's hard not to go with something else that you know that might not always be better than when they are at their best, but much better than when they are at their worst. I ordered a $10 gyro appetizer and received 8 plain pita points, and about 2 ounces of gyro meat, and NOTHING else. It was supposed to come with hummus, olives, tzatziki, feta and olive oil. TEN DOLLARS. I was so pissed off that I, for the first time in my life, called and asked for a refund. GET A GRIP, Twisted. I'm done giving you chances and being let down consistently. I don't often write reviews but I have to help bump up this average. My wife and I are new to the area and have been looking for a good pizza place. We have spent the last 10 months trying the different stuff in the area and with Twisted opened we don't go anywhere else. We finally found our new pizza place. The pizza is fantastic! Lots of different options. Just had the shrimp scampi pizza last night. Awesome. The wings are also the best I've had in the area. Fantastic! I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. I have been a BIG fan of Filippou's Twisted Pizza on Main Street in East Greenwich for many years. It's a warm atmosphere with a friendly staff and great food! I either dine-in or carry-out, or have them deliver. I was sad when I moved to West Warwick, because it was too far away. But now, a brand NEW Filippou's Twisted Pizza has just opened on Tiogue Avenue in Coventry! LOVE their pizza and wings, but other dishes like the marinated Greek Chicken and Salad, and the Eggplant Fries are wonderful! Gyro Sandwiches, too! My absolute new favorite pizza place!! I mean the staff is amazing just to start off!! I called at about 6:30ISH and told them I was on my way but wanted to place an order now so it was ready when we got there. I have two little ones under 3 who were hungry so i wasn't trying to wait too long. Long story short they did that, had us sit where ever we wanted,and the food was ready almost immedietly! Letmetellyou...... the pizza is FLIPPIN the best pizza I have ever had. Cheesy, real pepperoni, a perfect crunch to the crust... the buffalo wings were phenomenal! Not greasy, crispy, and perfect!!!
