I like that this place has a special on Mondays. Parking is not easy. The place is cozy, which means small. It does have a cute fireplace but if you sit there it can get toasty- The food is good. What a delicious meal at the West Warwick Fresco! We had to make a reservation online, and got there a few minutes early, which wasn't a problem. Soon after we ordered, it did get busy. I started with an Apple Sangria. No appetizer, but the bread and dipping oil were plenty for us to get started. Delicious! I ordered chicken piccata, which came with mash potatoes and vegetable of the day, which was green beans. However, I really wanted to try their sauce, so instead I had a side of pasta. Glad I made the switch. Sauce was delicious, but a bit chunky, which I like. The chicken cut like butter and was delicious! My husband had chicken Marsala, with the mash and the beans, and he said it was all very, very good. There is a patio in the summer. There is a small parking lot, and on street parking in the small neighborhood side street. We are definitely looking forward to eating here again, and soon! My husband and I just ate here for our 5th anniversary and I can say that dinner was the top 5 things I've eaten in my entire life, probably top 3 and I eat a lot! Started with the mozzarella triangles which were the perfect amount of crispy exterior and melty inside. I got the four cheese baked pasta which is TO DIE FOR amazing. I've never had a bad meal at Fresco. They have several wines on the tap system at a decent price. The chef makes up his own specials each night and they are fantastic. The Veal Piccata was excellent. There are two small pieces of veal served with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The sauce was perfectly balanced and the flavors were amazing. Got there at dinner time to a packed house!! Beautiful outside seating area as well. Seated in the back room. It was beautifully decorated and quiet. Had a great waitress named Mikayla. Very knowledgeable of the menu and even talked about the special "Fuel Cell" Bourbon that was made special at the Makers Mark Distillery! Of course we had to try! Ordered the black angus bruschetta, Arancini balls and also the homemade meatballs for an app! All delish. The red sauce taste almost like Nonni's!! For dinner we had the Short rib and the chicken milanaise. Cutlets were cooked perfect! Dessert was of course the best!! Out of state guests arrived late in the day and we were able to get a dinner reservation at Fresco's just a couple of hours before they arrived. We were very glad they had room and wow did that choice turn out great. We have been telling ourselves to try this place literally since we saw them setting up shop and we definitely should have tried harder to get there. The set up is the same as the previous business with less knick-knacks taking up visual space. Nice and serene. The wait staff are well trained; professional without being stuffy. Our waitress had a good sense of humor and was knowledgeable about food and beverage. We started with a variety of adult beverages. The glass of wine I received was 'corky' and although I hesitate to make a fuss, I was really looking forward to this wine and it just needed to be 'right'! I asked her for a new glass from a new bottle, and she very happily took it back and brought me another. Yes! That is what I was expecting. So much better and it was so well orchestrated by our waitress. Ahhh, stress relieved. The fun night continues. The entrée portions here are ginormous. The menu is similar to the one's we encountered in our Italian travels with each of the courses laid out, which was very nice to see. We all went straight to the entree's and they were all delicious! The 'tossed lasagna' is an interesting looking dish. It has all the components of a traditional lasagna, just a bit more, well, 'tossed' looking. My SO enjoyed this dish. The House made ricotta gnocchi was amazing from first taste! The gnocchi is soft and so flavorful. The sauce did not overpower the dish. The cheese was a nice accompaniment. All together a very nice dish. I also ordered a side of sautéed spinach. I really enjoy this dish as a general rule; it's on almost every menu in Italy we've been to (and that's a lot) and it was definitely well prepared here. Simple, quality ingredients make a quality dish. So glad I ordered that as a side. I ate all the spinach, but you could easily share it with one or more in your party. All together a very good experience. The staff worked very well together and we felt well cared for, the food was delicious and we brought home enough left overs for two more meals each plus a bottle of olive oil. Dined at this location a few times in the past and we was able to get a reservation on Yelp for Sunday night and both the service and meal was great. Started with the fried calamari with the marinara sauce on the side. Calamari was prepared close to perfection, crispy and tender. Wife had the Tuna Tartar Tower which is 1 of her usual choices. I opted for the pasta special of the night Which was a fra diablo w/ chopped clams, little necks, broccoli rabe, and a piece of panko encrusted cod on top of tagliatelle pasta. We decided to come in here on Monday night as we didn't feel like cooking. We saw that they had a dinner for 2 menu for $36.95. Include in this is 2 salads, a bottle of wine and 2 entrees from their special menu, which has I think about 10 items on there to choose from. Let me just start off by saying that this is an excellent deal. I believe it came with 4 options of house wine for a bottle, but you can select 1 bottle (2 whites selections or 2 reds). We chose the white, pinot grigio. The bottle was good for house wine. Nothing extravagant, but certainly nothing to complain about (due to price). The bread we received at our table was extremely fresh and warm. The oil and cheese that goes with it made it really tasty. We got the braise rib sliders (note that we ordered the app knowing this was additional price on top of the dinner for 2 menu). I thought they were ok, but my wife loved them. The dipping sauce goes well with it. I did not get a salad because I'm not a salad eater but my wife said it was excellent. As for the entrée's I had the 8oz strip steak, with mashed potatoes. The steak came out to order and had excellent flavor. I would surely get it again. As for my wife, she had the chicken marsala which she said was very good. I also tried it and thought it was very good as well. Overall, for a deal on Monday night, you can't go wrong here. The place is small but inviting! We like to dine in locations that can accommodate requests for seats in quieter locations so we don't need to compete with adjacent tables. We enjoyed the Monday special, dining on chicken parmigiana with pink sauce and a nice bottle of red wine. I hate to be so critical of this place because I'm a regular at Divine and Fresco Cranston and love both places. My wife and I went on a Monday night, and I must say that was our first mistake. Didn't realize that Monday's was the day they do the dinner for 2 special. The parking is terrible, the place is too small, the main dining room was so loud i couldn't have a conversation with my wife... yes we actually speak words to each other when we dine out. we started out with a glass of wine for the wife and I had a goose martini so far ok. The waitress seemed to have a very snotty attitude when we arrived telling us that the table had been reserved for 645pm, I reminded her that it was 530 and we were going to be done way before 645pm. We were not there for the weekly special. We ordered the tuna tower, and the parm wings. the tuna tower was nothing like Divine's tuna tower is was horrible, the wings were supposed to be parm wings and they were some sort of buff wings. rather than saying anything I just had a couple and put the rest to the side. I ordered the 12 oz steak which was ok and my wife ordered veal parm with macaroni but instead got chicken parm which she hates. We both also ordered another round of drinks that our waitress forgot. My wife did mentioned to the waitress that she messed up the order and asked if she wanted the veal. at 1st my wife said no because by the time it would be ready I would have eaten my dinner and we would be ready to leave. She did order it to go. We weren't looking for a free meal or desert but when a waitress messes up this much especially when going out to eat is very very expensive now a days I think the meal should of been taken off the bill, especially when the waitress was so rude to us and still left a 20% tip and she forgot our 2nd round of drinks. We went here on a Sunday and it was pretty quiet for dinner. They have a nice outdoor area with heat lamps and umbrellas. We sat inside at the booth. Staff was very friendly. We received very warm bread that was perfectly fluffy and with a nice crust. The dipping oil was great too with a little kick. We got the caprese as an appetizer and that was good too! They had a nice kids menu with a lot of variety and we ended up asking for pasta with Alfredo sauce that they were able to make for the kids. I had the 12 oz NY strip special which was good. The mashed potatoes were very tasty and the green beans were nice and soft. My husband had the oven roasted pork tenderloin special with prosciutto blended mozzarella, spinach and topped with a shallot cream sauce. He really enjoyed his dish but felt the entree was a little small. My father in law got the baked scrod with pico de gallo and tarragon aioli special and he enjoyed that too! We ended our night with dessert having gelato but it sort of seemed more like ice cream but it was good! This restaurant is a nice edition to West Warwick and less busy than EG. read more

The restaurant located in West Warwick is a hidden gem. A little hole in the wall with authentic and fresh Italian food. This was my first time eating at Fresco, and I enjoyed almost everything about it. It is very cozy and simply decorated, and the fireplace motive is lovely. However it was uncomfortably cold in the dining room, and I had to wear my jacket throughout my dinner. Also, the acoustics are very bad - extremely noisy, even with just 5-6 tables occupied. It was nearly impossible to hear the person with whom I was dining. The bread they served us was absolutely delicious as was the arancini appetizer - yum! I enjoyed my Short Rob Tagliatelle and recommend it, highly. It is a large portion, and I took half of it home with me. The limoncello cake was very good, but I had my heart set on the ricotta pie. Unfortunately, they did not have that dessert available. I would definitely return to Fresco. read more

Great! Best way I can explain it. Bartender (Cameron) was perfect - reasonably priced (although the portion was a bit smaller than I anticipated) and flavorful. From the warm, thick cut bread and the amazing dipping oil/cheese, the short rib sliders (1/2 priced apps until 5 - get 2 orders!!) to the main course and side. The Caesar Salad with a large meatball was a solid recommendation from Kevin-you have GOT to try it! There was a "dinner for 2" special, which included salads, bread, and a full bottle of wine.
