Consistency is absolutely clutch after years of not being able to come to this coffee spot in Kensington, was finally able to come here for our anniversary as our celebrating downtown during the winter months, roughly from thanksgiving to Easter, this Swedish style café, makes one of the best swedish pastries I've ever had called a Semla. when I finally came here and got my hands on one, the earth stopped, absolute perfect, and it made me seriously disappointed that this offering is only during the darker and colder months of the year Saturdays/Sundays the service is great, as the staff process orders very quickly to get people in and out, sadly not much space for actually taking in a Fika ritual with the patio closed half the year, but the back of the coffee house has a very picturesque and Instagram friendly wall you need to see to believe the service and the consistency of the treats has been over a handful of visits over the years which is huge for me lots of items to take home as well, one of my highest recommendations is grabbing a Aeropress if you make coffee at home, it will elevate your coffee at home AND make you appreciate coffee in a new and addictive way can't recommend this place enough, if you are coming for Semla, come for doors open, there will be a line up outside waiting for the doors to open the only negative if anything is the lack of parking due to being in the middle of a residential neighborhood plus Kensington market, and super frustrating one way streets 5+/5

Cute little cafe with a variety of options. They have a backyard area that was nice to be out of the sun. Service was pretty fast.

I came here on a Sunday afternoon around 3:30pm and it was packed! I ordered a chai latte with almond milk and a gingerbread cookie (it was simply too cute to pass up). Great service and my drink and cookie were wonderful; the perfect autumn pick-me-up. The inside is so cute. It seems like a great cafe to sit for a while and catch up with a friend or read a book.

Fika Cafe is one of my go-to spots in Kensington Market. Their Fika iced latte is my favourite (cardamom, milk, syrup, and espresso). The space itself is just super cozy, with a unique book-themed wallpaper and a cute little back patio that's perfect for unwinding and catching up with friends. Staff is always super friendly.

I've been to Sweden twice and dearly missed the numerous fikas, so I am glad to see there is a place literally called fika that serves similar Swedish fare here in Toronto. We went on a Tuesday and it was still fairly busy, but this cafe is located in a prime location in Kensington Market and thus receives a lot of foot traffic. I tried the cardamom latte and the beet spiced latte, both of which were pretty solid. I liked the flavor of the cardamom latte a fair amount, and I'd say that is better. Prices are standard if not a bit higher than average, but the drinks did not take too long. Restroom is only 1 stall so there could be a long wait for it as the cafe has lots of seating and thus lots of customers that potentially need to use it.

Stopped in for a mid-day coffee after some shopping with friends. Their cardamom latte is outstanding! Our order came out quickly, and we were able to sit outside at a shaded table in their adorable back patio. A great respite in the busy heart of Kensington Market.

Definitely worth all the 5 stars reviews. We decided to spend the morning walking up and down Kensington market and Fika showed up on a lot of people's "list of places to visit" in the area. It's inside this brightly colored house. The ambiance is nice, quiet, and cozy. All the workers are really nice Cardamom latte with oat milk, half sweet - I loved this. It was unique and had the right amount of flavor without being overpowering Cardamom bun - we originally didn't get this because we were going to eat but this lady we sat next two swore it's amazing. She says she comes every weekend to get one... so of course we had to. And I'm so glad we did! It soft with the right amount of cardamom. Not overly sweet.

The Lavender White Hot Chocolate was a very aromatic drink that I would recommend trying once. The vibes inside were immaculate and a perfect coffee shop to study or do some work at. There's also free wifi available.

What a cute little gem! Grab a drink and head to the back for a cozy little seat either in the book paper lined room or in the back garden, you wont be disappointed.

FIKA is a local gem in Kensington market that sells delicious coffee and baked treats. I was admittedly late to the game in discovering this cafe that serves great unique drinks like cardamom lattes and lavender white hot chocolates. If you like the warmth of spice, I highly recommend the cardamom spiced latte with either oat milk or the Sproud pea milk, which is equally delicious hot or iced! FIKA sells tasty in-house made cookies, sandwiches and cinnamon buns, and other products that go well with coffee, like flavoured honeys, jams, milk alternatives, and coffee making paraphernalia. Porch seating is available in front of the cafe, to take in the bustling Kensington activities, but they also have a quieter courtyard in the back with plenty of space for physical distancing. Check out the literary wall en route to the back patio which is covered floor to ceiling in books and written works.

After several attempts, I finally got to try Fika! It's always so busy so even getting a seat for a party of 2 was challenging. I ordered their latte and I can understand why it's so popular. It was smooth, served hot (not warm) and did not contain a hint of bitterness from the espresso beans. And the price, under $10 for 2 large lattes is pretty amazing! I definitely see myself visiting Fika again and again!

Came here for breakfast before our Art Gallery visit! What a cute little neighbourhood with colorful houses all around. Their terrace is comfortable and not too busy. We went on a Sunday morning and it only got busy after we were done eating. I ordered their breakfast bacon sandwich with extra avocado and it was so good. Perfect way to start the day. I didn't like their lemonade though. It was too sour for me.

Nice Ikea inspired space. That's it. The Swedish-inspired pastries are sub-par in every way. None of the staff are Scandinavian even!

So the bear itself in the affogato was a solid icy chunk of milk (coz we chose the milk flavour) that just frozen. We added the affogato on top of it and while it looked aesthetic, the dessert didn't make sense at all. We were unable to break the frozen chunk or be able to mix it with the coffee and the coffee mixed with that frozen chunk submerged tasted really bad. Paying $16 for that wasn't worth it at all. The bingsu was good though. We got the mango bingsu bowl and it came loaded with mangoes and a marshmallow and an oreo cookie to make it look pretty! I don't think I'd come back to try anything else here. Was a little disappointed.

I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. When I saw the price was $9.90 per chocolate, I was honestly a little surprised, bc it's sold under 7 per chocolate in Korea. But they were running a promotion until the 15th -- 5 for $30 -- which made it much more reasonable. I've never had the original version sold in Korea, so I can't compare it directly, but from what I've seen and heard, it seems pretty similar to what's trending there. Korean reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and people say it tastes just like the viral version. The texture is definitely chewy, just like the name suggests, and it's very sweet. Personally, it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that's just my preference. That being said, I gave some as gifts and they absolutely loved it. So if you enjoy rich, sweet desserts -- or you're looking for something trendy and fun to share -- this would be a great choice. The shop itself is small and cozy, but very welcoming. The staff were friendly and made the experience pleasant. Overall, even though it's not exactly my personal favorite flavor-wise, I can understand the hype. It's a fun treat to try at least once, especially if you've been curious about the viral Korean Dubai chocolate trend. I'd recommend stopping by and taking advantage of the promo while it lasts!
