The food here is excellent. My wife and I were very impressed with the flavor and quality. We'll visit again next time we're in Moab.

Pretty decent but overpriced. It's a pricy area but this place was a bit too much. Fajitas were 26, and somewhat smaller portions than any other place ive been. Soda 4.25. The worst part was a 13 dollar Pina coloda served in 12oz glass with no discernable alcohol. It was clear this place serves alcohol, there just did not seem to be any in my drink. We ate here on recommendation from our hotel. Instantly walking in the door, we felt welcome, was immediately seated and had water and chips and salsa on the table before even getting settled in. The waiter, Alex, was able to provide dinner and drink recommendations. The food was incredible, highly recommend the fajitas and Super burrito. The lime blended margarita was also very tasty. My wife and I visited this restaurant June 2019 when we were passing through Moab. We were originally looking for a different place, but we never found it so we just went to Fiesta Mexicana and THANK GOD we did! The food was amazingggg. I got a steak and shrimp dish and she got a carne asada dish. We got the re-fried beans as a side and honestly it was the best Mexican food either of us ever had, and that's coming from someone who lived in Phoenix and the other in Albuquerque. I'm not sure if the quality has gone down or why it doesn't have more stars, but we feel strongly it's amazing and worth a visit. Good place to go for fast service! Nothing special about the meals but we got our meals very quickly and did not have to wait for a seat. Almost every other restaurant around had lines out the door. It was busy but very packed. They were not practicing social distancing but we needed somewhere to go for quick food. I'm from the Midwest and have never heard of coleslaw at a Mexican restaurant...SO GOOD! The whole beans were also amazing. The fresh pico on top made it even better! They were able to work with me to make sure my food was celiac friendly (granted I take gluten cutter when I eat out). The house margarita was absolutely delicious. They use 100% agave tequila on all theirs drinks. The reason for the 3 is because they are not adhering to laws regarding Covid-19. The staff did great. I felt very comfortable eating the food. They were very diligent about cleaning menus and tables as well as wearing masks that actually covers their nose and mouth. They are not holding customers accountable to adhere to laws though. They are not asking customers to put a mask on upon entering as well as when they use the restroom. Unfortunately I would not have eaten here if I realized the situation. We absolutely loved this place!! The restaurant was so fun and colorful, and we loved the music. Our waiter was quick and brought us chips and salsa right away which was nice. Our drinks and apps came out quick too (try the margaritas, they are HUGE and so good.) We don't get mexican food often so we just got some of the combo apps and a burrito. This place is so quick with service! There was two of us on a Saturday night and we were seated immediately. We ordered two margaritas which were huge (18 oz.) ! They tasted great and fresh with simple ingredients. We heard the bartender shaking them from afar and they were brought to us shortly. The food was great! It was nice to see they had a vegetarian section on the menu since I'm sure they get many different types of tourists with different diet restrictions come through it is much appreciated. A little on the expensive side, but we were happy with the food and the portions. We left feeling pretty full. One of my favorite things was the chips. They're warm and fresh brought out to you and not just been sitting under a heat lamp to stay warm. I got the enchiladas rancheras - this is the first time I've had enchiladas with eggs on them. The burrito was an appropriate size for an individual - most people could eat the whole meal with no problem, but I gave a smaller appetite, and couldn't do it. I don't understand why this place only has three and a half stars when all information I was receiving when deciding which best Mexican restaurant all lead to Fiesta Mexicana - i.e. three people in town recommended it as their favorite place, it's in a good location and the building itself is well done both outside and inside, good menu selection, good service, and the food has good potions and tastes great. I had the Chili Verde, wife had Carne Asada, and our two kids had the Chicken Enchiladas which tasted great. We're definitely coming back when we come back to Moab and will recommend to friends also. read more

Food was very mediocre at best, we actually threw most of it away. Ordered TOGO and sat there watching all these patrons walk around with no masks. They charge a 20% tip to your bill, and then give you a receipt with the tip space blank for you to write in and ask you to write in the total. Very deceptive. read more

This was antique Mexican restaurant with such a wonderful ambiance and delicious food. I was immensely impressed with the ambiance!! I felt as if I was in Mexico. They have made ambiance full of Mexican look alike. Fiesta Mexicana was next to my hotel where I lived during my vacation to Moab. Excellent customer service, food was really tempting and the portion was huge. They also serve fresh warm chips and salsa. This place is a GEM. I absolutely loved the staff here and the waiter we had Christian. Always very attentive and if we needed anything he got if for us quick. The food was Delicious and the Chips and salsa were my favorite! I'm usually lucky with chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants but these were warm chips and they had a variety or salsas. I'm from California and when we were going to visit the NP here I told my husband we needed to check it out, he loved it as well and we even had a midnight snack with leftovers. The ambiance is great, it's newly remodeled and the Margaritas are phenomenal! If you like spicy salsa, this is your place! I love spicy salsa, and I just couldn't get enough of theirs. So good! The store bought chips are a bit of a disappointment, but load them up with this fabulous fresh salsa and you really won't care. My husband and I both ordered the Fiesta Grande plate; three entrée selections plus rice and beans. Hubby ordered a cheese and onion enchilada, a ground beef burrito, and a chili relleno. I ordered a cheese and onion enchilada, a ground beef taco, and a pica (shredded beef) sopito. The cheese and onion enchiladas were heavy on the onion, and the cheese never got hot enough to melt. While the flavor was good, it would have been so much better with melted cheese. The taco had good flavor, but the shell was not made in-house. It was another store bought item. The sopito shell was very soft and flavorful, not dry at all. A pleasant surprise. The ground beef burrito actually looked like a beef enchilada, but it was definitely a flour tortilla. Hubby said it was "fine". The chili relleno was the star of my husband's plate. It was a soft egg shell with a full cheese stuffed chili. Delicious. We both ordered a margarita, but didn't tell the waiter we would prefer the smaller size. The drinks he served were large and of sufficient strength to help you relax after a long day in the car. The price was a bit steep at almost $9.00 per drink, but they were very good. We are from the Denver area, were you can't throw a rock without hitting five family owned Mexican food joints. We are not necessarily experts, but we've had a fair share of Mexican food. We love it and eat it at least one to two times weekly. While this restaurant met the Mexican food craving while traveling away from our local favorites, it was more in line with a "franchise" or "chain" restaurant. The place was quite large, with seating for about 100,000,000 and was missing the "family owned" feel we so much enjoy at our local haunts. A solid 2-star experience. The Camerones Verdes looked literally nothing like the photo on the menu and was really disappointing taste-wise. Have you ever had crappy, flavorless tomatillo sauce? You can have it here - only $16.99. Husband said his tacos and tamale were fine. The kids grilled cheese was lame, and at $6.99 it should have included a drink. Instead, they charge $1.99 for a kids drink bringing the total to $9/kid. That's steep for super low quality food. Overall, this place is a disappointment. read more

Had a late dinner after checking out Canyonlands Island In The Sky. Frozen margaritas are not anything like what you get in Texas. They need a real frozen margarita machine that pulverized the ice. End of the drink is pretty chunky w ice. Skip the frozen and get one on the rocks. Fajitas were good - big - huge platter - but not great. Again, my reference point is several great places in Texas (Hacienda Ranch, Pappasitos, Chuys, Blue Mesa, need I go on?). Marinade for the beef needs some work. Their Queso doesn't use melting cheese and it's extra cost for chips. At $11.49 it doesn't come with chips is crazy. Don't waste your money or stomach. I ordered a comb plate with burrito & chili relleno. The shredded beef was pot roast (not good pot roast either). My burrito was tortilla with pot roast, a few pieces of pot roast celery & carrots with a few shreds of cheese on top. It was super wet from the pot roast water but had little flavor. We were told that this was the best Mexican food in Moab. I generally take local input with a grain of salt, because many outside the desert southwest (including the fine folks in Texas) wouldn't know good, authentic Mexican food if it hit them on the tongue. Add to that that this is part of a chain. To me, that's a warning sign. So, how is it? Not bad. Decent. Better than many we have tried. Standard issue tortilla chips. Salsa is good, with discernable flavors of cilantro, onion and tomato. My lovely bride had Pollo la Crema, which she said was yummy. Tender chicken pieces that actually have flavor! I chose a platter with a chicken tostada, chicken chalupa and chili relleno. I concur with the verdict on the chicken: tender and full of flavor. Nothing was too hot for weenie Americans that think that pepperjack cheese is hot. But we are more about flavor flavor than heat. Don't need to prove we can do Serrano peppers anymore. Beans and rice were pretty much the same as any good Mexican restaurant. One nice touch in the rice was a smattering of corn, peas and onion. Churros for dessert. Better than many. Margaritas for a beverage. Unfortunately, the waitress thought we wanted frozen strawberry instead of traditional. We chose to drink the strawberry even though she offered to replace them. Not a bad choice, but we both learned that we're not fans of frozen. Restaurant was rocking since it was Friday night in a tourist area. But the wait was short and the staff is great. read more

Who knew that you could find good Mexican food in the heart of Utah! Well, Fiesta Mexicana is a lovely place to enjoy a Mexican meal. First of all the cubbies are amazing!! Each one is unique and colorfully designed with textured painting of the southwest. The artwork encloses you in your own private dining area and the staff are attentive. Because I'm not a fan of spicy foods, I always ask before ordering. Our waiter made an excellent suggestion and my Pollo le Crema was lovely. He promised "not spicy" and delivered!
