Mexican pizza
Erica W.

We've been to all the Mexican restaurants in the port Townsend/port Hadlock/sequim/port Angeles area and this is by far my FAVORITE. Every single time, and not an exaggeration, every time we have come, it's ALWAYS been great. The service is outstanding. I always remember one time my son was tired and just not having it. I don't know if the owner, or employee.. he came out and had a talk with him, bad attitude and all and he was just so patient with my little guy. He played tic tac toe with him and brought him out a scoop of ice cream with chocolate syrup.. he didn't charge me for that, and I believe he served us again tonight as well, he's always so sweet to my son, he's personable, all the workers are. I haven't had a bad experience here. I LOVE the dishes to me, the plate and decor isn't super important where I go, I enjoy it.. but they serve all drinks in these beautiful clay jars or large margarita glasses, the dishes and decorations are super cute. And the food is amazing every single time. There isn't one thing I'd change, I'm Mexican, it's been hard to find good, solid Mexican food on the peninsula. This is by far the best in taste, quality, and service. As soon as we sat down, he brought waters, fresh, hot chips, delicious salsa and beans. My son had carne asada street tacos, I had the Mexican pizza. Ive never tried one but it just sounded good. So worth it! It was way bigger than I expected, I got with shredded beef. It was so much food I took a quarter of it home and my son had some as well, he said the meat was so flavorful. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and our time together, and the workers are kind, they have nice music playing. Our favorite restaurant!

The home-made salsa is truly delicious. You can order a container to go. Our friend, whose family owned a very successful restaurant here in town, is the one who told me they buy the salsa here and use it in their home cooking. The service is quite nice, and seating is cozy but still spacious.

Delicious authentic Mexican food, fun quirky atmosphere. Great service and we keep coming back!!

My family and I eats at this restaurant on the regular, super friendly service, super tasty food! They always treat me like royalty, best recommendation on the peninsula!

This is my favorite Mexican Restaurant in Port Townsend! It is the most authentic! The service is never ever dreadful. The food is sooooo good and the portions are HUGE. I got a platter that was healthy with no carbs and holy crap I ate from the leftovers for 2 days it was awesome! We had a great waiter who even questioned my shots of tequila because he was worried I was drinking and driving - which no, i wasn't, but I liked he was concerned! The vibe here is great and the food is amaaaazing to include the portions!

Good food but, over the top expensive: would give it 5 stars if pricing was more reasonable.

I really liked the chips they were some of the best I've had. I would like to see pico de gallo available. I think we will be coming back frequently. The view from the patio was fabulous.

That's pretty much what we got here though not overwhelmingly good. First I'll say that other recent reviews pointing out differences in this cuisine vs traditional Mexican American or authentic Mexican dining and the very nice staff are not far off. Of course it's all personal taste and expectations. So here we were only moderately pleased with the food and drinks but it was a marvelous place to spend a little time near the water in nice outside tables with light blankets folded over the backs of seats for chilly times on the deck. The margaritas (hers spicy and mine standard) were good enough though served in a chimney glass which is different. The tacos we ordered were pretty good though not the best ever by any means. The hot sauce was "house made habanero " I guess in generic bottles after asking for Cholula. It was ok but not my preferred sauce. And the chips and salsa I asked if they were included and brought to the table but later found that they charged us for them???? Not a fan of that from an expense and a transparency standpoint!! The chips are house made and not uniformly made with thick chewy parts and a lot of crumbs. House made salsa reminded me of a house made version of jarred salsa. The staff was very nice and accommodating and two cute sisters dominate the service scene which was fun to watch. So I don't know that we will go again but glad we tried it. Wish I could give this a better review but it was just OK.

This is a family restaurant so the person who will be helping you is probably one of the kids. Now the frosting on the cake, they have a complete line of Tequilas. You need to talk to Marcos who can guide you in finding the perfect choice. Their tequila prices are the most reasonable I have seen. Fresh salsa and chip were served immediately, food followed soon. Everything was in big portion. My spicy Diablo had a good variety of ingredients, tasted good but nothing stood out. The spicy garlic sauce didn't taste spicy or garlicky to me. For dessert we got a flan and a fried ice cream, both delicious. Personally I preferred the flan but the shell in the fried ice cream was pretty amazing too. Our waiting staff was super nice and helpful, but seemed stressed the whole time. We weren't surprised at all given they were the only server for 5+ tables at a peak dinner time.

Y'all knocked it out of the park!…read more Brit owned shop offering comfort food that is a perfect complement to its coastal town. Don't miss the salmon chowder! This is likely the most memorable soup I've ever had. Creamy, smooth, with the perfect balance of fresh buttery salmon. If you come for one thing let it be this!!! As a Floridian who's traveled to the New England states, I can confidently say I know seafood, and this chowder still surprised me! The rock crab Mac n cheese was also excellent. Warm, gooey, and bottomless. The crumb layer enhances each bite of that tasteful crab. Again, the perfect balance of the seafood flavor with the rest of the meal, making each bite hit with the same comfort as the first. Staff are friendly and outgoing, and are eager to provide recommendations. The service was quite quick. Plenty of seating though the shop is on the smaller side, it will seat groups of 6 easily. The vibe is so chill. The backdrop of the town and its quaint shops next door felt like I was in a hallmark film.

I was getting ready to leave the area and I didn't want to miss my ferry but I was starving, so I ordered a couple items for pickup and headed over. I chose the Teddy Oggie which is a traditional steak pasty and I also ordered their Big Dawg because I'm a big girl and I'm familiar with the size of a pasty so I thought I might need a little something extra. When I arrived, the vibe was kind of awkward. There was music playing and there were only one or two other people inside. The staff wasn't particularly welcoming and after a few minutes I was happy to grab my food and leave. As I walked back to my car I realized I had a little time before I had to head to the ferry so I stopped at an outdoor table to have a little sample before I headed out. The food was so dry. And I don't mean a little dry, I mean really really dry. The pasty in particular was overwhelmingly crusty with very little moisture or flavor to balance it out. I was hoping for something warm and savory but instead it was just brittle and stale. It tasted old . Like it had been sitting out for a while and then been overcooked . After a few bites I threw it away and felt relieved that I had bought a second item because I hadn't eaten all day. The sausage was just as bad. The bun was so dry it was crunchy. I didn't mind that the sausage skin had a crunch to it, but unfortunately once I got inside it wasn't moist or juicy either. Oh and the little tiny sliver of mustard that they put on top? I could have pushed that all into one bite and it still wouldn't have been enough. I took a few bites and threw that away too. I understand pasties can be crusty and that's part of what makes them a pasty, but there's a huge difference between being so dry and crusty that it's difficult to eat and having a real savory pasty. The whole experience was so disappointing. I don't know if Yelp has made a huge mistake with the rating for this place or if I just caught them on a bad day. I love the idea and I often go to British pub style restaurants when I can but based on my experience here I would not recommend this location.
