This cockroach was in my father's to-go meal from fiesta charra in Eaton this evening. It was covered by his rice. Absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. The health department WILL be called.

Amusing workers the one thing is sometimes you can't understand them and they sometimes take a really long time but other than that I would 8/10 recommend

This is our hometown go to for Mexican. The food is always consistent and the staff is friendly. Service does get a little slow at times when the place is packed but most places do. The Pollo loco is a family favorite

Used to be good. Now it's not even edible. I would rather drive to Richmond or west Alex to get Mexican food.

The food is also great and the atmosphere is your traditional mexican restaurant feel. The waiters are quick and friendly.

Just ok. I like the salsa. Usually fast service but lately the food quality has not gone down.We drive out of town for Mexican food now.

Stopped in for lunch with hubby. The ambiance & food was typical of a Mexican chain restaurant…read more There was a big bar & several TVs to watch sports. The restaurant is very clean. The service was attentive. The food tasted about average, not bad but didn't wow me either. My husband liked his taco & enchilada. My chimichanga was smothered in cheese sauce & tasted okay. The tortilla chips weren't hot as they usually are in a Mexican restaurant. I'm guessing it's because service is slow due to road construction directly in front of the restaurant. We'll probably come back for dinner when the construction is completed.

It's in an awkward building that shares a driveway and parking lot with a funeral home/cemetery…read more Be mindful of parking spots marked for the funeral home. Strangely I did not observe any spots marked for disabled parking. It's very loud inside in an annoying way. Currently being newly opened it was jam packed due to the dearth of restaurants in the area. The music was too loud and the tables are very close together. The inside lighting was kind of weird where we sat. We had at least five different people involved in the serving process which I do not like. The personal feeling of "our server" was missing. There seemed to be a lot of staff on hand. Chips and salsa were just meh but at least they're free. Not at all pleased with the guac in terms of taste, appearance and price to portion. I had Chili Verde chicken. The green sauce was very tasty. Meat was not overly tender and it seemed kind of lonely with no vegetables mixed in. The column heading on the menu seemed to indicate all the meats below were cooked with onions, peppers and tomatoes and I even asked the person who took the order but he also read it wrong. My husband had the grilled tilapia and pronounced it "fair." At least he got onions. So I'm not going to say one and done, but will probably not be back again until it's time for the outdoor patio.

Some interesting "new" Mexican choices on their menu, and that, along with quick, attentive service, reasonable prices, and a cozy, though spacious atmosphere, made for a MUY BUENA choice here in Troy!! They've got some tempting cocktails, but the Mr. went for a XX draft and I had agua (que aburrida!!) He ordered choripollo, which was a HUGE chicken breast w/plenty of chorizo and cheese, and I ordered a MASSIVE bowl of their crema de elote (cream of corn) soup, which was ok, but kind of watery and a bit bland. I spruce the leftovers up the next day, and made a hotter, creamier soup that was still two portions!!) and two chiles rellenos off of the a la carte menu. Yum!! We were last here YEARS ago, when this spot was home to the 55 Grill, and were happy to see it "hopping" again, with a reasonable, covid-sized crowd, nice decorations, good music, and definitely something for everyone... Looking forward to coming back in warmer weather to try their two open air patio spaces!!
