Tried this place for the first time. We were seated after about a 3 minute wait. The ambiance is typical Mexican restaurant. Chips & "salsa" were brought to our table. The chips were good but the "salsa" was watery & not thick at all. It tasted okay though. Hubby ordered a 12 oz T-bone steak which came with rice & refried beans. He barely touched his food saying the beans were too spicy & the steak was not tender. I got shrimp Coctel de Cameron (ceviche). It was very good. However, the saltines included with it were stale & dated 2023. The service could have been a little better as we had to flag down the server to request extra napkins. Very disappointed in our experience, their our server was very rude and we could barely understand her because she was secretly sick and had a sore throat and was serving us. Food was mediocre. I was traveling from Ohio and wanted yo make a quick stop for a late lunch. I found El Bronco, conveniently located just off the exit. The interior is very nice, with a high ceiling and tasteful decor. The booths and tables are solid and spacious. Everything was spotlessly clean. I was promptly seated and served chips and salsa. The salsa was thinner than I prefer but made up for it with excellent flavor and a bit of heat. I ordered Huevos Rancheros from the lunch menu, and it was delicious. Refried beans has a nice texture and really good flavor. Portion size was very generous, especially for a lunch menu item. Service was friendly and efficient. The dinner menu featured some unique specialties. There were many seafood entrees, including one I would like to try called Wero. It featured grilled tilapia, scallops, shrimp, and pico. I'll try that for sure on my next visit. There are also burritos and enchiladas with unique ingredients. Many vegetarian options too. Prices are very reasonable. read more

This is a great choice right off of Interstate 70 at the Chester Blvd exit. There is plenty of free parking and seating for large parties. During Covid, they have increased cleaning. Hand sanitizer is available, and staff is wearing masks. The restrooms are also extremely clean. I frequent this establishment for lunch and they were extremely quick. You were able to get in and out of the restaurant in less than 45 minutes and make sure you only take an hour lunch. All you can eat chips and salsa are free and they keep them full. You can never go wrong with their yummy bowls of queso to dip your chips and right out the gate when you get there. There is a charge for the queso. I am a creature of habit and usually get the chicken chimichanga or the Cozumel salad. Sometimes I follow a keto diet and Cozumel salad is a great choice. It's just veggies and shrimp. Today I decided to get out of my box and try something different. As I scan the menu I noticed something called Wero's. The dish had shrimp, tilapia and scallops with pico. I opted for no rice. The fish was grilled in such an amazing way, and there was a cheese sauce poured under the seafood and fish. I have a new favorite! The staff is very attentive and the prices are fair. First off, the service and speed are EXCELLENT, BUT... I ordered the grilled nachos and I got chips with baked or boiled shredded chicken (definitely never saw a grill) and queso that was basically white water. ZERO spice. ZERO flavor in any of the food elements. These were truly the most caucasian, anemic, pale, benign, politically correct, beige, depressed nachos ever created. Now Richmond, Indiana isn't my first thought when I think Mexican cuisine, but I thought I'd give it a fair try. Truly- excellent staff. Super speedy. Not enough good things to say about that. But I can't in good conscience let anyone else risk eating those "nachos." They technically fit the definition because it contained corn chips, cheese, and meat, but... someone please go check on their chef- he or she may not be doing okay emotionally. Walking into El Bronce I was greeted by friendly staff and a nice Western theme. I actually really enjoyed the decor. Our waiter looked like he was working really hard. He was flying around the tables in his section and was very attentive and kind. Our food was brought out incredibly quick. The chips and salsa were good. Salsa had good flavor and chips were just ehh. The food was good, but not blowing me away. Really the service here was a 5/5, but I can't really say the same about the food. Food wasn't bad don't get me wrong, but it wasn't good enough to reach the 5/5 overall review. I'd say this establishment is reminiscent of Jameis Winston. Richmond has quite a selection of very good Mexican restaurants. But the most recent one has become our favorite of them all. Outstanding and super friendly wait staff, which is rare in this late-COVID, can't find workers, day and age. Their chips are quality, not the cheap kind that literally taste like you are licking poster boards. Our first visit here we realized they had some dishes the others do not. We are far from vegetarians, but were surprised by the green menu selection. Specifically the vegetarian burrito caught our interest. My husband ordered it and was amazed at how good it was. We both love broccoli and were surprised how wonderful this dish tasted.
