Wero's Mix of tilapia, scallops, shrimp and cheese I opted for no rice
Julie M.

This is a great choice right off of Interstate 70 at the Chester Blvd exit. There is plenty of free parking and seating for large parties. During Covid, they have increased cleaning. Hand sanitizer is available, and staff is wearing masks. The restrooms are also extremely clean. I frequent this establishment for lunch and they were extremely quick. You were able to get in and out of the restaurant in less than 45 minutes and make sure you only take an hour lunch. All you can eat chips and salsa are free and they keep them full. You can never go wrong with their yummy bowls of queso to dip your chips and right out the gate when you get there. There is a charge for the queso. I am a creature of habit and usually get the chicken chimichanga or the Cozumel salad. Sometimes I follow a keto diet and Cozumel salad is a great choice. It's just veggies and shrimp. Today I decided to get out of my box and try something different. As I scan the menu I noticed something called Wero's. The dish had shrimp, tilapia and scallops with pico. I opted for no rice. The fish was grilled in such an amazing way, and there was a cheese sauce poured under the seafood and fish. I have a new favorite! The staff is very attentive and the prices are fair. Whether this is a choice for dinner, lunch or a place to have a great lunch meeting... You can't go wrong with El Bronco!

Walking into El Bronce I was greeted by friendly staff and a nice Western theme. I actually really enjoyed the decor. Our waiter looked like he was working really hard. He was flying around the tables in his section and was very attentive and kind. Our food was brought out incredibly quick. The chips and salsa were good. Salsa had good flavor and chips were just ehh. The food was good, but not blowing me away. Really the service here was a 5/5, but I can't really say the same about the food. Food wasn't bad don't get me wrong, but it wasn't good enough to reach the 5/5 overall review. I'd say this establishment is reminiscent of Jameis Winston. Good guy, great talent, just not an elite qb on the field.

Very good salsa. Chicken fajita salad was good but would have been better if onions were cooked more and tomato pieces were not all ends. Chicken flavor though was very good. Not much sour cream or guacamole considering the salad did not come with any dressing Would have been a 5 otherwise. Everyone else loved what they had.

When a coworker brought me to El Ro, I knew my search was over. Is this the best Mexican joint I've ever been to? Not really. However, is it tasty, consistent, and friendly? Absolutely! The salsa is heavy on cilantro, which makes my taste buds dance happily. The margaritas pack a nice punch and are relatively reasonable, price-wise. I've tried many of the assorted entrees and have been pleased each and every time (fyi, the menu is very broad with lots of different options). However, the food means very little if the service is lacking. While you may encounter the occasional grumpy server, I've found that this is definitely the exception, not the rule. Most servers are friendly and attentive, keeping a close eye on your drinks and chips without hovering. In my humble opinion, El Ro is certainly worth your time!

There are two smaller local establishments in Richmond that serve authentic Mexican dishes with flavors, freshness, and quality worthy of five stars. When given the option to choose where to have burritos, carnitas tacos, chips and fresh guacamole- this isn't the restaurant I'm going to knowing there are far better places to have a great meal!

We were served fresh salsa & tortilla chips as soon as we were seated. The salsa was hotter than most salsas I've had at Mexican restaurants - not for the faint of heart! Hubby ordered Shrimp Delight $13.99 (Deep fried shrimp) while I ordered #23 combo plate ($10.99) of a taco and a beef quesadilla along with refried beans & rice. Hubby loved his shrimp & felt that the amount of shrimp was plentiful. My taco was good but the quesadilla was too salty. I couldn't finish it due to the saltiness. The service was okay but hubby wanted a drink refill & the server was nowhere to be found. We liked the prices & may give this place another try.

I am from the area but now live near San Francisco. On trips back here, El Bronco West had become one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The fact that I was trying to host an event here would need more than a 24-hour call ahead. The reservation for my party was simply a sticky note on the wall behind the cash register. When I arrived 30 minutes early to be able to look out for and greet people as they came, nothing had been set up in advance. I sensed they were waiting to see if we actually showed up. To me, a group of 22 paying customers would be treated more professionally, but it was what it was. The service and food were okay, but the real fiasco occurred when they came to put the sombrero on me and sing in celebration of my birthday. I had seen this before and had really not wanted it, but I forgot to mention my decline and figured I would just go with it and get it over with. I was not expecting to be sternly sat down and have my bearded face smeared with whipped cream. They clearly do not realize this is an act of assault! No one has the right to put their hands on you in an offensive manner. I was absolutely furious and in a state of shock. My love of this restaurant and desire to go back absolutely died in that moment. I really thought I was doing something very good for the establishment by bringing in a group of 22 people. But instead of being treated with honor and respect, I was sharply told to sit down to be put on display and have my entire face slathered with whipped cream. No one in my party, with the exception of one, was amused. Everyone in attendance, being from this area, will most likely be deterred from future visits. I am all for celebration and having a good time, but this was way too extreme. It went too far and was a complete violation of my boundaries, ruining my birthday celebration. One of my group recounted that she had been at El Bronco West during a lunchtime visit and witnessed a woman being assaulted with whipped cream, which smeared and ruined her makeup. Being at work for the day and having yourself desecrated is an act of violence. My guest noted that she, too, was furious. This proves my point that this restaurant prefers its sophomoric pranks over the sensitivities of its customers. Afterward, I spoke to our waiter and told him how angry I was and that this was too extreme. The waiter apologized, but it was too late; the damage had already been done. He did say he would tell the manager, but two days after the event, I have heard nothing. My memory of my special occasion is scarred in ruin! I will never return to this restaurant again! This establishment is clearly out of touch with its clientele. Be forewarned, if you plan to spend a special occasion at El Bronco, tell them no singing unless you wish to have your face slathered with cream. Debéis estar más atentos al respeto vuestros clients!
