My recent order was $29.12, so I presented the card at checkout. The cashier called a manager, who came over, didn't greet me or speak to me, looked at the order, and decided to apply only $20. The issue isn't the money--it's the lack of communication and professionalism. If the gift card had restrictions or wasn't worth the amount I was told, that should have been explained when it was issued. When a restaurant makes a mistake and offers compensation, the least a customer should expect is for that resolution to be honored and handled professionally. The food wasn't the problem. The service was. I won't be back, gift card or not.
